The worst customer service and management experience. They are not "wholesale" so if you need a certain quantity that is considered "too much" the close out team leader will throw a big fit and be a grinch. Family owned this is a large store that seems to have everything. There is a deli with lots of choices. A large produce section is in the back. A pharmacy is near the front with a drugstore area. There is also a nice size non-food area for things you may find and not have to go to a big box store. read more

Loved this place since I was little bit yesterday I went in looking for a special biscotti but couldn't find it anywhere. It was one of those things Marc's only carries and I wasn't sure if they were our or it had just been moved. 2 different people helped me find it, one names Jill walked around the entire store to help me find it. Oh Marc's. You have been a part of my life for decades, since you were Bernie Shulman's on Cedar. Now you are all grown up, a chain of stores that stretches across the region. With food prices low enough to make the slow lines and aisles in disarray worth it, you keep us coming back. Your closeout section is where you really shine. With items no one knew they needed (because they don't) and odd unsalable outcasts from other stores, you are sure to find a 99 cent treasure or two. Who cares if the the undershirts they sell are marked irregular- with Marc's low prices on fiber, you can be sure that even if your shirts aren't regular, that you are. The prices are usually better than other stores, but not always. They clearly have a problem paying their staff a living wage because they can't seem attract anyone to work there. I honestly suspect they hang the "now hiring" signs up in order to make customers feel better about the lack of staff but that Marcs has no intention of hiring more people. read more

If you plan on shopping here, be site to check EVERY best by and expiration date on your food. I've accidentally bought month past expired food from here several times... I've NEVER had this happen at any other store. read more

I don't even want to give one star to this store back in October they had empty display on floor and it was totally invisible to me and I fell over it and hurt my knees and nearly break my nose but lucky to have mask on saved myself and none of there staff willing to help or ask me if I need any help some customer approach for help and seen my one knee was bleeding and had swollen face and call the ambulance and I had big medical bill and most of it taken care by my health insurance but about little amount left and they deny to pay after 5-6 months!! You go to that store on your own risk if any accident happen they don't help but they want you spent your money in there store. I have 2 big scars on my knee and one on my nose since glasses broke and squeezed on my nose to fix all the scars will cost me 10 thousand dollars!! really good prices, but sometimes the fruits & vegetables can be suspect. I think the main problem is when I buy grapes from there when they are not, you can end up with 100 fruitflies in your home that duplicate, duplicate, duplicate, duplicate...you get the pic. dry goods, and some amazing discounts. We went here the other day to get some quick groceries. Love this store and not sure why I do not go more often. I did have to wait outside for a few minutes since the max capacity had been reached. However, this was a short time. Once inside, the workers were diligent about masks and gloves and the store was set up in a super organized fashion. Felt comfortable and safe shopping here and left with some great produce and fruits. Highly recommend this store for shopping. read more

Think the Solon location needs a lot of attention, layout and product specifically. Like the location now that I've moved out that way, but find that I have to continue to go back to the store I used to shop at because it has more product. read more

My 85 year old grandfather went here this morning to buy some flowers. There was no price on them so he saw the manager and asked what the price of the flowers were or if they could check for him. The manager responded "no I don't have time to look for you" and walked away. HA. What great service, especially to your elderly customers. read more

This is another place I go to at lunch. Avocados are usually $1. Chobani yogurts were $1 but have since changed to $1.25. I get bananas here too. Dry goods and stuff. It is a dumpy store. That is the appeal of Marcs. If you want to feel like a rich person when you shop, go to Mustard Seed. I have noticed a lot of the rich people do shop at Marcs and that is how they stay rich. read more

I've accidentally bought several items here that I realized when I got home that they were out of date. I usually check sell by dates, but sometimes when I'm in a hurry, I miss something. Usually it wouldn't be a problem at any other store. It shouldn't fall on the customer anyway to be responsible for making sure they buy good food, it should be the responsibility of the store to make sure they are selling the customer good food. The workers also mostly seem like they wish they were somewhere else. The store is hard to navigate as well, I wonder if they put the turnstile in to reduce theft maybe? The best store ever. This store was nice it had a deli, which my local Marc's doesn't. And they even had ham and cheese to try which was nice. They had a cute little train above your head going around the store, which is cute for the kids. The store was clean and nice and big. The only bummer to Marc's is they don't take debit, cash and i believe checks but only in certain check out lanes. read more

Went to Marc's this am was ready to chk out it was one line open but two cashiers one did not have light on but stated she was calling customers out of other line I was in line and she basically told me she could not ring me out cause she was taking next customer. Lady that was next states she did not have her light on so how was she supposed to know. she wanted to ring me out next i told her never mind now she said that's find too. Very rude and argumentative. She told me this is a first come first serve store. Spoke with manager he was just as rude as she was. Will not spend my money in this store again. read more

The prices are great and if you are careful choosing produce the quality is surprisingly good. I get raspberries, strawberries, pineapples, spinach, onions, each of these items is excellent. I also buy a few packaged goods, like pumpkin, pepper rings. Fresh flowers are also a favorite. The prices are significantly lower than Giant Eagle, sometimes 30 - 50% less. Shopping at Marc's doesn't come without a cost, lines are typically long, processing slow due to folks paying with cash or checks, the parking lot isn't in great shape. read more

This is a very nice store- cheap, too. You can find almost anything here. The budget rack for day-old produce is also good- you can find avocados, grapefruits, limes, etc. They only take cash, check or Discover cards. read more

The prices are so low it's hard to stay away. And they have pretty good fresh fruits and vegetables and even a variety of organic produce. Yeah the store is tight and crowded and if you're a clean freak you'll definitely want to steer clear. However if you love to save money, you'll love Marcs. read more
