I don't know how to describe this place, except to say that this is what general shopping was like in the 1970s-1990s. They literally sell just about anything, from a limited selection of produce to engine oil to toys to clothing to lawn care items. You can even rent DVDs here. And of course they have a pharmacy. Prices are usually slightly higher than other places, but they commonly have specials and sales. They are always open- if you need batteries on Christmas morning, Drug Mart is your place. (Although if I ever go on a holiday I always give the cashier a $20 bill because I feel guilty they are working.)

Talked to him over the phone and in-person, just a genuine and caring person. This feel reminds me of when small pharmacies knew everybody in town and didn't just treat them as a "stranger". Dan was talking to somebody about a recent procedure a customer had and asked how they were. When I was picking up the prescription, he was talking to another customer about their husband. This Pharmacy isn't far from us, I may just consider moving my family's scripts to this Walgreens just to benefit from this care and service.

With food prices low enough to make the slow lines and aisles in disarray worth it, you keep us coming back. Your closeout section is where you really shine. With items no one knew they needed (because they don't) and odd unsalable outcasts from other stores, you are sure to find a 99 cent treasure or two. But the amount of expired food being sold and the length of the expirations have had a huge increase recently. Hummus - over a month expired. Yogurt - a few weeks. If you need certain items like nail clippers it's nice that there is a place within walking distance that has them. But that's about all they have going for them. It is beyond understaffed. And often because they will have only one non-pharmacy employee in the store, they will be stocking or something so you get to stand around waiting for someone to check you out.
