Pickup area, right side of building

I had been inside this Walmart a few times during the years I lived right around the corner in Mason. It tends to be a nicer location because of the area it is in. They also seem to stay better stocked. While I havent been inside in a few years, I recently came for a drive up pickup, as I was trying to obtain some Christmas lights that were out of stock at other locations, and I was going to be in the area for a meeting! The process went well, placed order online, was communicated with about substitutions, as well as out of stock items (the damn lights) ahead of arrival. When I got there, I checked in on the app, parked in the designated spots to the right of the building, and was in and out in under 5mins. I have to say of all the places offering order online for drive up pickup (Free over $35) I have had the best experiences with Walmart, which is shocking because I rarely shopped at the chain before the pandemic.

Service is bad. Went to check out and the price on my item was wrong and I tried to explain that to the cashier. Instead of her saying let me check real quick she just called us liars and say that can't be right . sure enough all the prices on everything was wrong .

This is the most high security men's fitting room that you will NEVER get to use! Good luck on your quest for the keeper of the keys!

I really don't like to beat-up on Wal-Mart. They seem to get a lot of bad press & negativity, so let me just be factual about this evening's visit. Positives: we found good quality items for a great price (mission accomplished!) We were looking for very specific things & they had exactly what we needed. On the very steep downside, we almost left empty-handed for lack of any customer service. It was almost impossible to find someone to let us in a fitting room. Our search for an employee (ANY EMPLOYEE) took us all the way to the front of the store to ask a cashier to help us. He sent us to a manager who had to make us wait because she was doubling as a cashier. (Out of 26 registers, 5 were open & the self-service checkouts were backed up). My son actually considered taking the clothes in the bathroom to try them on!...which might have gotten us in trouble :/ Finally, got in the fitting rooms. While I waited outside a young lady came to try on a shirt. I told her the fitting rooms were locked, but luckily an employee walked up. The customer asked for a room. The employee looked at her & said "Not my department" & kept walking. I said, "excuse me..." then explained the painful process we had gone through ourselves to get a dressing room. She said "well, let me see if I can find the key", which she did with no problem. Holy Cow! The whole time I was there I could feel my anxiety rising. The whole place was complete, joyless apathy. What happened to 'Smiling Faces'? Wal-Mart management, I beg you, do something about morale & remember, you are in the customer-service business. All you 'brick & mortar' retailers continue to lose business to online shopping. Smile, be as helpful as you can, have adequate staff. Shopping should not be that stressful.

Can you please get the cable company advertisers out of this store? Good lord. I get hassled at least once or twice every trip.

Huy Fong Vietnam Chili Garlic sauce in a jar.... Hong Kong moon cakes in mini tins within a beautiful gift tin. Quail eggs, duck eggs (fresh or pickled), bok choy, bean sprouts, exotic greens. Dried noodles, dried peppers, dried shrimp. "Houston Cowboy" brand flavored soda from the Philippines. Spare ribs, pork loin, ground pork, pork hearts, a whole pig's head looking right at me from the butcher section. A wall of frozen foods, didn't study them but I did notice pot stickers (imported from an Asian country, needless to say). English as a second (or third) language on every can, box and bag. Oh.... and Tiger Balm! It's a fully complete small local independent super mart. As a native New Yorker of Italian and Polish descent, I'd call this store THE most authentic, and complete, Asian mart in the area ... perhaps the only one, too? Been here twice, the other shoppers were all Asians, as were the staff. Felt like I was back on Main Street in Flushing for a while. Which is cool. The first time we stopped in, I bought a small jar of that chili garlic sauce, which is made by the same folks who bring you Sriracha rooster sauce. In fact the jar has the same rooster logo. Never saw it anywhere else and wanted to try it. That jar got used up PDQ so we came back today for the large economy size. And of course grabbed some other goodies as well. Gotta love those happy Asian cakes, cookies, and crunchies. Prices were more than reasonable, if you're looking to stock up on any type of Asian goods, I'd say skip Jungle Jim and come here instead. Friendly employees/owners, too, who seemed happily amused by my enthusiasm for Hello Kitty - and my reaction to the pig's head. Ahh, would that we had a similar ITALIAN mart within striking distance! I continue to hope and dream. This place is meant to be Asian, though, and since Asian it is, and a complete market, five stars it is.

She answered my questions and helped me find things. The produce, although a little disorganized, was fresh. Some of the packages simply said "vegetable" and I'm sure regular customers know what they are looking for, but again, I got lots of help. I wasn't impressed with the meat but I did get frozen salmon and halibut. The store is a bit cluttered but I think that it's fine. Don't be bougie about it and you'll be glad you went. I got a ton of fresh food for $42.
