The self-checkout area was fairly busy, but I was in-and-out in no time flat. The associates were friendly and helpful, especially the door greeter who was super-friendly. In fact, her friendliness kind of caught me off-guard. Ha ha! If you live in the area, please make this Walmart your go-to place for all your needs.

I had an appointment at the Lockhart TX store at 10am on Saturday, September 28, 2024, and it took…read morethem TWO AND A HALF HOURS to install my tires. Not to mention that they couldn't balance my tires because the ONLY person that does it, called in that day. Then, they made me pay the $40 of "road hazard protection warranty" even though I am a Walmart+ member and it was already included with the installation. I called the San Marcos store and they told me they accepted walk-ins but because I already had an appointment, IT WOULD ONLY TAKE LESS THAN AN HOUR, to balance my tires. I left Lockhart, risking my life with half work done, to the second nearest Walmart in San Marcos, so they could balance them. When I arrived at San Marcos, I told them everything that happened. They said it was negligent from the other store to even offer me to install my tires if they were not going to balance them. That it was dangerous to drive with tires unbalanced. And they also told me that Lockhart couldn't do it because they ran out of weights, meaning I was also lied to. They went ahead and refunded the $40 I paid but it appeared that my balancing appointment at Lockhart WAS CANCELLED by the store. So, they accommodated me in. The worst part is, i waited 5 HOURS to finally get my tires balanced. NO ONE NEEDS TO WAIT THAT LONG FOR A 1 HOUR SERVICE. They didn't offer anything to make it better, they just said it was unfair to me and that was it. Very unprofessional, negligent and this is unforgivable. I hope management sees this and make necessary changes to the way they manage their automotive services. A total of 7 HOURS it took to install and balance my tires. UNBELIEVABLE!

They totally scammed me and took my money, then had the audacity to say they would not fix it. I just like a phone card for my pay as you go phone, like EVERY month. my husband took it in because it was not working on my phone because there was a scanning issue. So, my husband took it to customer service. My husband handed him the receipt and the card and explained to the associate of the scanning error. the associate claimed he needed to watch the video of us checking out. He then came back and said he cannot scan the card properly. Take in mind this card was almost 50 dollars! He claims that I had canceled a few items, put in the employee passcode, and to keep the stuff anyways. I DONT WORK THERE! How would I know the employee passcode?!? My husband then contacts the supervisor. and the manager finally shows up. My husband tells the problem, so he too goes to check the footage. My husband needed to do other shopping and would return after that. My husband then comes back and *poof* manager is nowhere to be found. the associate explains that he went to look for you in the store. The manager finally pops in, and proceeded to tell him that he can't rescan the card. when asked why he claims that i had canceled a few things before checking out. Which if they HAD watched the footage, they would have seen the associate had taken the canceled items away. The accusations they made were bogus. and i don't think they ever watched the footage. The associate had recommended we pay almost 50 more dollars for him to scan it. There was no way in hell that we were going those scam artists any more of our hard-earned money. My husband left scathingly mad I will never give them my money. Not to mention the fired a disabled man a few yrs. previously for a minor infraction. they victimize the disabled, and they will steal your money. I wish you well if you decide to shop here!

One place that will always dominate any neighborhood besides that other depressing behemoth store…read moreis Target. A huge sprawling parking lot with enough space under one roof to get in a mile of walking, if one were so compelled. This brings me to Target in Kyle Tx. Located in a safe part of town this place will have, most of what you want, but it's not a Super Target so not much in the way of food. Another point, the people walking around are few and far between but nice. The one issue I have with Target in general is they have a drab interior much like their rival. As for food, the selection is extremely limited. Barely half an isle for fresh produce, select meats and a few other selections. As for refrigerated items again the selection is limited with a few items available as needed. Finally the dry, snack and non-perishable items selection is much better but still not what you'll find at a larger store. I find I only shop here for food only when absolutely necessary. As for the kids section, they're limited in toys as I tried to purchase some items for my kids but they only have the absolute most popular items. So, if you want that GI Joe action figure, you won't find it here, or at least anything new. As for electronics, they have most of the newest gaming consoles, games and controllers however 4k media is gone, but that's a standard among all stores now as physical media continues to be replaced by inferior forms of content like streaming. Most items like pet food and accessories are in abundance, hardware and housing goods have most of what someone needs and the kitchen section has a lot of average equipment to great stuff depending on what you need. For example, the knife selection is horrible but mixers are just as good as anywhere else. I do all of my vitamin and specialty medicine (not prescription) from Target as it's the cheapest. Overall, Target is exactly what you expect anywhere and that's by design. The only real differences are subtle things that regionally might sell better at one place then another state won't offer a product as it won't make sense. Think of a heavy winter coat for sale in Texas - it isn't needed. Finally, Target is bringing back the cashier so the wait times may vary. Other than those items, it's Target you know what you want.

It looks like a severe lack of staffing is what make this happen. 1 register open, stocking half complete with mostly empty u-boats on the floor. Sigh.

My friend was looking for clothes for her oldest son so we cruised on in to check it out. I immediately noticed ALOT of Arizona Jeans clothing on the men's side, MMA (who wears this crap), Southpole, Lucky Brand, and some clothing brands I've never heard of. Decent prices with jeans being around $15, shirts for $10, and shorts in the middle at $12. Not bad, but I didn't buy a thing. The real story here was one shopper. This bitch went ballistic on a teenage cashier and the manager. She accused the manager of intentionally blocking her in an isle; then basically threw here selections at the cashier. Then, screamed at her when she wasn't paying attention to her every word. The cashier was assisting another employee on locating a price for an item. "I usually don't complain about anything but"....usually means you do. She finally left and the cashier took a smoke break on the steps just outside. Dammit Rooster, you poo'd your pants. I was wondering why you were hiding between the jeans. Come here for great deals and a side of drama!

I Was a regular shopper at the HEB in Bastrop. Then I moved to Georgetown and was a regular shopper at the 3 HEBs in Georgetown! While staying in Lockhart, this weekend for a family wedding, I went to the local HEB. It wasn't the HEB, I'm use to shopping at. It was much smaller and older. That part wasn't a big deal, because Lockhart has a smaller population and that store has been in the same location for a long time. I went in to grab some flowers to bring to a local friend of mine, that invited TV (The Villain, my husband Ray) over for a BBQ. I was also going to grab strawberry shortcake fixin's. I went to pick out flowers and half of the selection was wilted. There was a young lady vacuuming the floral section, that clearly saw me waiting to peruse the rest of the flowers. She took her sweet a$$ time vacuuming. I patiently waited. When she was finished, she shot me a snotty irritated look. I'm not sure if she was mad that she had to vacuum or that I patiently waited. This is NOT the customer service I'm use to receiving from HEB! That was the first time I saw an HEB employee unhappy to be working at HEB! I was as confused as a fart in a fan factory! (Personally I've always dreamed of working at an HEB, if Ray aka TV (The Villain) divorces me. I would move myself right back to Texas and work at an HEB) The good news is, this HEB carry's a lot of my favorite HEB products! They carry my Cobb Salad, that I use to eat at least 3 times a week! Their tortilla chips with Sea Salt! Their Ice Cream is to die for!!! Their coffee! I could write a novel about HEB products, but I don't have time. Bottom line; HEB has great prices and products! I've missed you HEB!!!! PS. I would love an HEB t-shirt, I wear a women's size medium SSDGM, Elaine
