this Walmart is not even worth one star. Anyone traveling through please stay away from this location. They totally scammed me and took my money, then had the audacity to say they would not fix it. I just like a phone card for my pay as you go phone, like EVERY month. my husband took it in because it was not working on my phone because there was a scanning issue. So, my husband took it to customer service. My husband handed him the receipt and the card and explained to the associate of the scanning error. the associate claimed he needed to watch the video of us checking out. He then came back and said he cannot scan the card properly. Take in mind this card was almost 50 dollars! He claims that I had canceled a few items, put in the employee passcode, and to keep the stuff anyways. I DONT WORK THERE! How would I know the employee passcode?!? My husband then contacts the supervisor. and the manager finally shows up. My husband tells the problem, so he too goes to check the footage. My husband needed to do other shopping and would return after that. My husband then comes back and *poof* manager is nowhere to be found. the associate explains that he went to look for you in the store. The manager finally pops in, and proceeded to tell him that he can't rescan the card. when asked why he claims that i had canceled a few things before checking out. Which if they HAD watched the footage, they would have seen the associate had taken the canceled items away. The accusations they made were bogus. and i don't think they ever watched the footage. The associate had recommended we pay almost 50 more dollars for him to scan it. There was no way in hell that we were going those scam artists any more of our hard-earned money. My husband left scathingly mad I will never give them my money. Not to mention the fired a disabled man a few yrs. previously for a minor infraction. they victimize the disabled, and they will steal your money. Headed into this location for a bathroom break as I was en route from Yoakum to Austin. With time on my side, I also grabbed a few items off the shelf. Everything was found quickly and easily and I was on my merry way in only a few minutes. What really captivated my attention was the level of cleanliness. Looks like this is the local place to go for all your shopping needs. Wish the Walmart's in the D/FW area were this top-notch. Way to go! read more

This store is the embodiment of everything wrong with rural Texas. I drove here from out of town to get my covid vaccine shots. The pharmacy staff was really nice, although one cashier/pharmacy tech was wearing her mask incorrectly. The pharmacist administering the shot (I had a different pharmacist each visit) was really nice and very knowledgeable. All in all, the pharmacy was the crowned jewel of this store. I'd say 80% of the customers on both of my visits did not wear masks and brought their entire family with them. There's absolutely zero enforcement of masks for public safety. However, with the poverty level wages Walmart pays employees, why should they care? The women's bathroom was horrific. Human waste and toilet paper overfilled all the stalls. I don't understand how grown people go through life and can't even flush a toilet. If you value your health I would avoid this store. read more

I went into this Walmart to purchase a small Crickett 22. I filled out all the necessary paperwork and got the all clear to complete the purchase. We had to wait for a considerable time for the manager Noah to come finish the sale. While I was waiting I had the need to use the restroom and asked if I had time but the clerk said I couldn't leave in the middle of the sale. So I waited and waited. Finally Noah arrived with the box and they proceeded to finalize the sale. The clerk mentioned I could leave my cart of groceries by the counter because after the sale they would need to walk me straight to my car. I realized I might not make it from the back of the store across the parking lot to my car and back inside so I called my wife who was sitting in the car and asked her to pull it closer the front of the store. Noah overheard me talking on the phone and immediately tensed up. He asked me why I made the phone call and I explained to him what I had told the other clerk about my ever growing desperation to reach the restroom. He shook his head and said "I think we are going to put this transaction on hold". I asked him why and he said because the phone call was suspicious and any suspicious behavior he has to stop the sale. I would have probably had the patience to wait around and let him get another manager and even call the authorities if he felt so inclined so that we could ease him of his burden but I had to go. This is the second time in a few months I have had to waste my time with the Walmart caped heros. Last time I was in need of propane at around 9 pm on a cold night and I was told by multiple cashiers they didn't think they had any. I waited for the manager in charge to show up and was told they didn't have any. Nobody volunteered to go check for me they just all confirmed what each other said. I then walked outside to the propane cage and I beheld about 50 new bottles with the seal on them. I went back inside and informed them at which point they finally helped me. My solution is to go make my purchase elsewhere which I'm pretty sure Walmart has no issues with. I just want the management to know that your flying cape wearer is a real hero. He saved me from spending about $300 at walmart today which I gladly spent at HEB and Livengood. I usually buy about $500 groceries every week and $150 in gas every week. If I avoid this location for only 30 days that is between $1300 and $2600. If I go a year that is between $15,000 and $30,000 over the next 12 months that I will most definitely be spending somewhere. I'm pretty sure that covers at least half the salary if not all for the cape hero. I hope I can last at least a year... read more

This Walmart is in violation of ADA laws. I had an incident with this Walmart back in 21 where I was harassed about my service dog. I ended up taking it all the way to corporate and was put in touch with the general manager, we came to an understanding about the job that my service dog performs, how she cannot walk on the floor because she would not be able to do the tasks that she was trained for. She is approximately 7 inches tall and weighs 5 pounds. She cannot detect the changes in my breath down on the floor. The manager and I agreed that she would be fine in the cart seat as long as she had a blanket or pet bed underneath her. No problems until today. Same Walmart. Grabbed a cart, put her bed inside the seat and entered the store. There was a person walking in front of me that had a French bulldog on a leash. I do not know what the dog's status was. My dog saw the bulldog and barked. I gave her the command to stop. She immediately stopped and we turned the corner. She did not act inappropriate, did not lunge, did not leave the pet bed. As we were walking up the aisle we were approached by a gentleman in a BLUE VEST, he started to address my dog. I explained that I was not going to discuss the issue, that it had already been handled. He immediately got nasty, threatening me with criminal trespassing. He kept telling me I could not talk to him that way. I turned and left the store. I immediately contacted Lockhart Police Department and he contacted the store staff. The on call manager demanded that I be charged with criminal trespassing. According to the officer "He talked this staff member out of the ticket." I contacted Corporate again, gave them the information from the first incident and demanded and apology. During the course of the the call I was informed there was not a manager on duty and if the gentleman had a blue vest on he was not management. I am now suppose to wait 7 days for Walmart to call me back and talk to me about the incident. Go to Sam's a division of Walmart and as long as she is on the pet bed and has her service vest on, we get our shopping done. I will not be back in this Walmart. read more

Count this as a smaller scale super center compared to Austin. Got in an out grabbing a movie the wife wanted for the boy. She also needed Kale which I thought looked questionable. That leads me to my Ol' Rooster Top Tip of the day, never buy kale at Walmart...Especially in Lockhart. read more

But that's the two areas that I shopped in that I noticed were above and beyond thanks for the pleasant shopping experience. This is THE most inefficient Walmart I've ever been to. And that's saying something, because as we all know most Walmart's lack good customer service. There is never more than 2 registers open (aside from Self checkout, and that's if those kiosks are even working). There is never more than one person staffing customer service/pickup, so the line is always long and the associate is typically tired and grumpy and miserable to work with by the time you get up front. The only good thing about this store is that it usually has everything I need that I can't get at H‑E‑B. read more

DO NOT BUY PLANTS HERE .... I bought about $50 in veggie plants and they had root rot and several had maggots in the stalks just below the soil.... I have NEVER seen anything like that and when I called them, they said that it must have happened overnight at my house and I should have transplanted them the same day that I bought them .... maggots DO NOT grow in the stalk of a plant overnight .... it was horrifying ... seriously .... get plants elsewhere read more

Has some groceries, but not fresh fruits and vegetables. Staff is friendly and helpful when you can find them or they are not busy helping someone else. The Walmart continues to under staff the store. From the nursery dept. to the check out stands. People have been complaining for years and Walmart has done nothing to resolve the staffing issues. Produce dept. is lacking in appearance and freshness. No one to help load bags of garden products. Tech. dept. employees tend to be arrogant and attitude is they would rather do something else than wait on customers. Lines at the pharmacy are horrible. Too many long lines, even at the self check out stands. People are going to San Marcos, Bastrop, Kyle, and Austin. Current service Walmart advertises are not available at this store. If you can avoid going to their "money center", avoid it! None of the employees know anything about how to cash a damn money order. A money order that was bought there, how dumb could they be?? They couldn't answer any questions and were such a hassle to work with. They were ignorant and impatient with me. All they could do was refer me to a phone number. Walmart needs to hire people that know what they are doing. Very unpleasant experience! read more

I would leave a negative number if possible! This employee asks me if I'm buying tobacco, I say no, so she pulls me out of the tobacco line (only register open) and takes me all the way down to the self checkout! I respond that I was in that line so someone would check me out, since I had multiple heavy items of the same thing and was using coupons. She seemed quite annoyed (and loud) with me and tells me she will check me out on 6. Then she tells me I can only use 4 coupons a day for the item I'm buying and snatches the coupons from my hand! I could hardly BELIEVE the audacity of this employee, so if you want to avoid her yourself just look for the blond wig (and loud mouth) I hate Walmart now. read more

I have been to this Walmart twice looking in the electronics department to see about testing out tablets and purchasing two for Christmas gifts. It was very disappointing to see that although are several tablets on display...none of them are on. Why would I want to purchase a device not knowing what I am buying? Why would I purchase anything of value in any department on a whim? It's the holidays, I went last year to a very nice Walmart in Kyle that had all tablets computers and devices ON, and they got a sale out of me. I purchased an Ipad. I got a chance to interact with the devices and choose. There is no interaction at this electronic department. And upon observation I don't see many people interacting let alone purchasing much of anything in this area. We brought the attention to the clerk who told the manager and no results were made that day. We came back today and still nothing. This time the clerk called the manager to the department and the manager said he would see what could be done...Question: What exactly is being displayed? And if I can't see what I am buying...why buy it? Why even stop and look? I am very dissapointed there aren't many stores to shop in Lockhart and I want convenience. Time to got to go elsewhere for electronics. read more
