Went here a couple days ago to have tires installed, which were prepaid a week in advance. I also hit the pharmacy to pick up some medication. Well when I used my card, somone had a skimmer on the credit card machine, and someone was able to withdrawal $80.00 from my account. I know these things happen, I just wouldn't expect it to happen from the pharmacy, as there's always someone on their register, otherwise the rollup is closed when they are on break. How does this happen? Unless it was an inside job from someone working there. I cannot trust this location with my cards now. And will have to take my business elsewhere. I placed an online order for 2 fishing poles for my son and I, both were listed as in stock. When I arrived to pick up my order I was notified one of the poles was out of stock. No big deal, I took the one they had, then I went in the store to grab a different pole because I still needed two poles. When I went inside the first pole I see is the one I ordered and was just told was out of stock. So that was irritating but whatever I just bought the pole and went on my way. So at this point I've paid for this pole twice but the $30 will be on my card as soon as the sale is complete, right? No, not the case at all. Walmart has a hold on the money for up to 10 days, well it's day nine and they still have a hold on my funds and refuse to release them. They told me it was the bank, I spoke to my bank and they said no it's Walmart with the hold, then they lied and said the funds have been released, they weren't. It's only $30 and I know that's not a big deal but it's the principle of the matter and what if it was someone who needed that money for gas or something to get to work. It's unacceptable, it should be illegal to hold funds for that amount of time after the final sale. I won't spend another dollar at Walmart and I hope this review saves someone the hassle of dealing with the lies and extreme hold time on funds by Walmart. read more

Our Grants Pass, Oregon, Fred Meyer has completed a complete renovation and appears to be making changes toward improved customer experience, but that was not my experience. My wife saw a couch at the store she wanted for our new office. I drove about 30 miles to get my truck and went to the store for the couch. I waited by the sofa for the store clerk, who arrived and casually told me they had none. I told him I would take the floor display, and he said they do not sell those. He offered to put me on a waiting list, but he had no idea if or when any were coming in. After wasting time, I left and went to my office. I called Fred Meyer in the next town over and asked for the same couch. They informed me that they had none. I asked about the floor model, and they told me they had sold it. Now upset, I went back to the local store and asked for the manager. The manager's name is Lisa, and she is unpleasant. She told me that she does not sell the floor displays until it is discontinued. She mentioned several times that she had seven "rainchecks" on that couch. In my opinion, If you do not have it, remove the display or put something on it to let people know so they do not waste their time. Lisa does not feel this way and seems proud to have seven "rainchecks." Although it seemed obvious, she mentioned more than once that I was not the first. Well, I was not the last either because I left. I went across town and found a similar couch at a different store. I paid a little more, but the quality is much better. First off, I hadn't been in this Walmart in years and it's INSANE! I understand the homeless issue in the area but they don't turn on the parking lot lights at night which sketches me out especially when I'm with my wife and daughter. And then once you run for your life and make it inside you see half the store is locked up and everyone you ask to help doesn't have a key. You have to go all the way up front to customer service for assistance. I should disclose I dont shop here, no way...but my cousin went there (for tires). While that was being done he went in and bought some beers, road sodas he called em, for drunk driving. We just moved to Grants Pass, and this place has really been a lifesaver! We needed some tools to get our beds put together...check. We needed a new shower head....check. Bathroom supplies...check. Soda, food, fruit....check and check. I found great prices, and pretty good variety. The store is laid out in an orderly fashion. And every one of the people that work here that I asked any questions of, all were friendly and helpful. I have to say, I have never been a Walmart shopper before, but I like this place! The worst time I've ever had at a walmart is in Grants Pass trying to get my car back after they put tires on. There were literally hands full of "managers" that do not try to help and do any mature actions to help with what the problem is, but to belittle a customer and not give my car back because my phone # used was my sister's. Huh? Hours later I had to call the police so I could have my car! Of course the original "manager" was no where to be seen. Why do they have a job? My car. My money. And time wasted. The basket full of another 150 bucks of their product left there. I will never spend money there again. No apology and even after giving them their first 4 tire sale 600 bucks worth to start their day. I gave my phone # that is in my family member's name, and they said I couldn't have my car for some such reason. HUH? they did not apologize {or say any thing to anyone of real management authority there}. So I will go to the extent of reginal- -manager to complain further. [Did they even think to check my car registration? NO.] My car my money my families home phone that is under my sisters name that they could call along with 3 other family phones I can give them. But no from beginning to hours later to end saying they will put my old tires back on but it would cost another 240 bucks to do making 480 bucks without new tires which were the same near to that cost. Do not shop where the people are mean. Stay clear of the Grants Pass Walmart at least until I get the reginal office to respond so I can edit or remove the bad review. I never ever take the time to review a place, regardless how frustrating an experience might be. Today however, I'm not leaving the parking lot until I speak my mind and share my absurd experience today. I was just told to put my shopping to a hault, go directly to the front and pay for what items I had in my cart (totalling $227.84) and leave the store. The only reason I gave this store a penny of my money is because my daughter spent about 45 minutes picking out exactly what garments she needed and I didn't want to make her go somewhere else and start over considering she has pretty severe anxiety. This employee named Michael said I was "ripping open packages" which is entirely incorrect. I had pulled a t-shirt out of a package that HAS AN OPENING IN THE FRONT to see true size and immediately returned the shirt to the package when done. I also checked shirt size from a zipper packaging that zips open and close without breaking any seal. Michale then followed us through the store, staring us down like we're criminal and got on his super important walki talki, probably to tell another employee how these 'suspicious females were headed to a register'.. I haven't shopped here in YEARS and I most certainly will not be returning. This dude profiled me, I'm assuming for being covered in tattoos and some paint from a home renovation. Curbside pickup left a lot to be desired. My schedule pick up time was between 2:00 to 3:00 in the afternoon. I got to the store at about 2:40. I called the phone number for the store and pressed option three for pickup. After the phone rang for a minute or two, somebody clearly answered the phone and immediately placed me on hold, then I was back in the queue for the phone ringing again. I called back and I was on hold for 4 minutes before it went to a rapid busy signal. I called again and pressed option 5 to speak with somebody in customer service. After a minute or two of the phone ringing, somebody from a different department answered the phone and told me that I had to try again and hope the hell that somebody would answer the phone. I ended up walking into the store and I went to the customer service department. I explained my issue and asked to speak to a manager. The manager was helping another customer so I was waiting. The customer service agent who assisted me notified the manager that I wanted to speak with him and explain the issue. He told her to call the pickup department and have them come to the front to meet me. when the manager completed assisting the other customer, it appeared that he was walking away and did not want to talk with me. I approached him and I explained the situation so he was aware of it but he really did not seem that concerned. A person from curbside pickup came up to the customer service department promptly and assisted me. The pickup department lead told me that I needed to drive to the side of the store to the designated pickup spots. Until you get to the side of the store, there are no signs telling you where curbside pickup is actually located. They do have several pickup stalls once you get to the right location. I also learned that the telephone number needed for curbside pickup is a different phone number which you find when you actually park at the pickup stalls. When you call the Grants Pass Walmart superstore and you press option three for pickup, you are not reaching the curbside pickup department because they have a completely different phone number that you will find once you park in the parking stalls. What should have easily taking me 5 minutes or less turned out to be almost a half an hour because of their poor communication skills. Only the lead for curbside pickup seemed generally concerned about the issue however there was nothing that he could do to correct the issue. He promptly put my order together when I spoke with him in the store and it was ready when I got to the back. This Walmart needs much better training and much better signage. read more

Absolutely no reason a customer would be required to wait over an hour in their vehicle after checking in and providing parking space location and receiving auto confirmation. Got it! The new call in system for pharmacy refills is horrible! Every time I try to refill a prescription it either tells me the prescription is out if date, has no refills or isn't available. Then it tells me I need to speak to someone. I have not been able to refill anything without having to go to the counter and request it in person. Ridiculous! Please fix it or I will need to find a new pharmacy. read more

Walmart web site is terrible. Way to confusing, not at all acquaret. It seems almost everything is out of stock. Even eggs & bacon. I could not find the meat section. There is so much advertisements for non essential items, I can't find the basic items I need. I am sitting at home with colvert 19 & can not get through all the junk on this web site to try to get some simple foods & supplies I need to get me through this miserable flue. Not even a PH# to call to help me through this online non shopping. Another thing, For the last year, every time I go to the Grants Pass walmart, there is 4+ of there handy cap shopping scooters broke & I usually half to sit on one of the broken scooters for many minutes waiting for one.
