We didn't pick up much (drinks and panda biscuits) so we were in an out fairly quickly. The Costco experience here is like every other Costco that is packed--watch where you're going to avoid getting run over by both carts and cars.

I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with repeated customer service experiences at…read moreCostco locations as both a Costco member and an Instacart shopper. As a member, I have already found customer service to be inconsistent, with only a few employees standing out as genuinely helpful and professional. However, the treatment I receive when shopping as an Instacart worker has been noticeably and consistently worse. There is a clear and immediate shift in how I am treated the moment I state that I am shopping on behalf of Instacart. On multiple occasions, I have been ignored by employees responsible for boxing items after checkout. Specifically, I have experienced situations where staff members, after learning I was with Instacart, skipped assisting me and instead moved directly to the next customer to offer boxes and help with packing. This has happened repeatedly--approximately five times--not as isolated incidents. This is particularly troubling because the orders I am shopping for are for Costco members. Even if there is bias toward Instacart workers, the end result is still poor service being delivered to your own members. In addition, I am also a paying Costco member myself, which makes this pattern of treatment even more disappointing. During my most recent visit, I preemptively grabbed my own box and asked the bagger to pack the order, to avoid being skipped for a 6th time. The items were packed in such a careless and unprofessional manner: hot rotisserie chicken was placed with cold items (milk, cheese), shampoo thrown on top of hot food, and the order was disorganized to the point that I had to repack it myself to maintain basic food safety and order integrity. The interaction felt dismissive and intentionally indifferent. When I attempted to remain polite and wished the employee a nice day, I was completely ignored as they moved on to the next customer. This pattern of behavior feels discriminatory, unprofessional, and inconsistent with the standards Costco claims to uphold. It has left a lasting negative impression, caused me to stop accepting Costco orders through Instacart, and has genuinely made me reconsider my Costco membership. If I am experiencing this consistently, I am confident other Costco members who also work as Instacart shoppers are experiencing the same treatment. I believe this is a serious customer service and professionalism issue that warrants internal review, staff retraining, and accountability. I wanted to keep this private more private but as they do not offer an email customer service number and I don't feel a phone call will do much, I am submitting this complaint in hopes that Costco will address this matter seriously and take steps to ensure respectful, consistent, and professional treatment of all members and customers regardless of whether they are shopping for themselves or on behalf of another member.

My focus was on the amount of bottles and yes without thinking I emptied the bag of them on the top moving converyorbelt. Opps there was some water and a bit of lemonade fell on to it. It was a mistake on my part and I apologized . The checker excuse the Spelling Kamaia launched into "look what you did! there is liquid all over my area." She was so mad as if I killed her puppy her reaction was mean, nasty and cruel emotionally over the top putting me down. " I have seen you take bottles to the customer service area." I said sometimes the checkers put them behind in her station and some times they ask me to put them on the floor over there. So Kamalia called over Brandy a manager who was also sooo rude. She took the bottles and shouted "oh this lemonade bottle stinks" and accused me of holding back the Line. THEY DID NOT PUT OUT A FIRE THEY HUMILIATED ME AND FANNED THE FLAME. In my opinion Kamila should have instantly taken out the paper towels and disinfectant spray and clean the water up in fact I offered too. I am 73 Years old I am not perfect. Then Brandy came back and said "look YOU are causing all these people to wait so move on." I thought not spoke really don't tell me how to feel and what to do. It was a demeaning tone.
