While in Oregon on vacation my mom told us about this facility. She called about taking a tour and…read morewe were happy to find out that they offered daily tours. We set one up and went. It was a very fun and informative tour for my mom, my two teenage daughters and myself. We really enjoyed learning about how the dogs are trained and I was especially happy to learn that their dogs are all rescued from shelters! We got to meet and interact with one of their "graduates" named King and see what he can do. We all enjoyed it very much and will go back again next year. The tour was free to boot so that even made it nicer. I recommend going here to learn about these wonderful dogs and trainers.

I walked into the food bank office of the salvation army about 1 weeks ago because I was starving…read more.so I'm told at the front desk to have a seat. So there I sit, watching in awe as the only other employees who could help me, was a chic and some older dude who looked as if he wasn't gonna help me until he was finished flirting with the young lady who was filing some folders. Now I do apologize because she was pretty and I could see why he'd be so upset with me.. but I was starving and now the only one who can help me is glaring at me from across the room as he walks over to me with a little smirk as if to say "thanks a lot there, genius". So he asked if I ever been there before and I said yes but that I forgot when..then this is where it starts getting weird..because this man starts saying something to the effect of "oh it says here that u haven't been here for food for A couple years"...which means you been supporting yourself like a real man"...ok..first of all, I was there bcuz I was so hungry..and I needed food i didn't need to hear these biting insults from a ponytailed punk who looked like he never missed a meal in his life. So they sent some barfly who pointed to certain boxes that seemed to contain TRASH. long story short, I left that place with 2 loaves of bread.a couple rotten pairs. a little pack of cookies and about 3 bags of lettuce..I SWEAR..I stood in awe as people were walking out with sandwich meats, .milk, Gatorade, can goods, fresh fruit, etc. So I don't know how I made this guy so mad, but I did...it was a hot day also...with no liquids and only a bag of lettuce and a loaf of bread I knew I was in for a doozy...I'll. Never waste my time there again...it just seemed like theyd rather keep the food themselves..very stingy and cold.. not the image the Starvation Ar---oops, I mean Salvation Army has projected until Now. If the guy is reading this I just wanna say sorry for asking for help when I did because it interrupted your flirting with the secretary in your office..I was just hungry bro...I'll ever bug you for food again ok buddy? Thank you and God bless
