Not sure why but shortly after entering this location I started to get a headache, throat irritation also in my eyes/ nose, and felt dizzy. After leaving the store it stopped. They had a display of plushy animals in the middle of the aisle with a big sign that said $6.88. I took it to the front rang it up and it came up as $22. Most businesses when they make a mistake will adjust the cost to what they advertised in honor of customer satisfaction. Not the customer service manager at this Walmart! Apparently Walmart values their bottom line so much more than they value their customers experience that they are unwilling to eat just $18 loss in order to keep a customer happy. The Tire Center is EXTREMELY slow and doesn't honor any other Wal-Mart's policies. You would think they would all be the same. The tire center manager has changed a couple times over the years; however, the general manager of the store is very difficult to deal with. I ordered my groceries to be delivered YESTERDAY and they're still not here. So, due to delay, then they asked what time to be delivered today. I put between 11-1. Guess wha? It's 5:45 pm and STILL not here. They said my groceries would be delivered by 8 tonight. They said that yesterday. WTH is going on with this Deland FL store? This is NOT the first time this has happened. They gave me NO explanation other than it is delayed. I called the 800 CS # and asked the lady named HARA for some type of discount or something for this inconvenience. She told me to call back for that and ask after I receive my order. Really? She acted like she WAS the one being inconvenienced. NO, it's me....not you. And, my second complaint is the Marketside vegetables that come in the bag (broccoli, cauliflower and carrots) when I get them, they smell foul and bad. I always have to throw them away. I will not order veggies anymore from Walmart. Third complaint, last time I ordered a dozen eggs, every single egg was BROKEN. I paid to be a WM+ member and honestly, I just want my $$ back but they won't do that. This Deland store has gone downhill big time. They need to get their S**t together. I have Walmart plus and I haven't been there since the fourth of December this year 2022 and someone else's order, if they ordered something, is at my door I'm trying to call you guys, but you won't answer the bloody phone. Can someone get this order off my door ' because by noon if not by the end of the day, it's going in the garbage. Because I don't have any identification as to whose it is. If you guys are going to work with delivery partners, you need to ask them if they know where they're going, to commercial or residential? If they say residential, you need to ask them "are you going to a house or an apartment complex?". It is genuinely not that hard when there are letters and numbers on the outside of the apartment buildings. It isn't hard I've worked for these delivery services before. Not to mention the ALMOST OUT-OF-DATE meat you gave me one time on my delivery and or pick up as well as the WRONG fat content at that . I'm ONE MORE WRONG DELIVERY away from canceling my subscription and going in there and doing my shopping as I usually did (now have to do). Not because of other Walmart locations, but because of YOURS. Here's the kicker, you are the closest to me other than the family neighborhood Walmart, which doesn't have half the crap I need anyway. The only useful thing it's for is gas when it's cheaper, 5¢ to 10¢ depending on how you look at it, not that big of a difference when that's literally the only thing in the subscription that I can use other than the Paramount Essential subscription. I AM PAYING FOR INCOMPETENCE and I'm about to get frustrated even more with INCOMPETENT MANAGEMENT who cannot seem to get their orders out correctly. I have been using their pickup and delivery services. I had been consistently getting already rotten produce or produce (citrus, green onions, onions, apples, etc) that doesn't even last 2 days and have even received numerous products that were out-of-date when i received them. Sometimes I have 2 days before dairy expires. I called customer service at the store and they just shrugged it off saying they have new people and they are doing it. That said, they refunded the money, but I have had to go to another store for items needed that night for dinner. I have will be switching to doing all my shopping at another store. 1 customer lost here. read more

I suppose, what you'd expect from a Walmart. Giving this place the benefit of the doubt, however, I'd give this place a 2.5 if possible. During the climax of the pandemic, masks weren't enforced for customers. Maskless Marcy would be yelling at her malnourished "little ones" 4 feet away from me at self-checkout. Not fun. They have closed off many of the self-checkouts for card only as of recent. Incredibly inconvenient, and caused a 15 minute panic between my father and I (we both have GAD and I am confirmed on the autism spectrum). A lovely employee did help us out through our troubles of moving registers a few times though, and to her, I say thank you. All in all, I suppose their selection of goods is quite alright, though, they leave moldy fruits in baskets to buy sometimes (just saw moldy coconuts last week, also have seen moldy sugar canes in there). read more

This store has continually gone downhill. The latest is the checkout process which they just revamped. The lines are extremely long now, and confusing with people cutting in line, arguing with each other with near fights. The wait times are like 10 to fifteen minutes with dozens on dozens of folks in line. In addition, they have a new layout for groceries and house goods that intermingle and you end up covering the whole store for similar items instead of them being grouped together. The fresh vegetables are not that great either, with rotten stuff left with the new crop so you have to wipe off what you want before you put it in the cart. The employees seem to be in constant confusion as well as us customers and all of us have bad attitudes. I am willing to pay a bit more to shop somewhere else when I get the chance. Oh, and the once convenient pharmacy now requires us to stand in long lines as well. read more

I ordered a grocery delivery from the store at 1699 N. Woodland Blvd in DeLand FL: I placed my order on Sunday 9/24/2023 for delivery on 9/25, received confirmation of the order and confirmation it was in process. Then was notified it would be two hours late. It never came. I received no further notifications. I found there is no method listed on the website to speak to anyone at the store. I chatted with CS and received a new delivery window. It never arrived. Last night I re-scheduled it for 9/26 in the a.m. It was confirmed. It never arrived. I have chatted and spoke on the phone today with numerous CS agents (not at the store) and received new delivery windows each time, but my groceries have still not arrived. I PAY for this service! What am I paying for? To go hungry? How can I plan my meals? How can I plan to shop in person if I am told they will be delivered in two hours, but then it never comes? This service SUCKS! What a waste of my time and money! I want my money back! I'm Sick of being lied to! This service is run by totally incompetent people! read more

Employees are friendly and nice. Environment is clean. The store stocks anything that you could want. I give it a 3 star because the price that rings up is NOT always the price on shelf! Last night during Black Friday shopping at Walmart (N. DeLand Florida location) I left my iphone on top of one of the palates of Tupperware. After returning to the location I found it to be gone. I spoke with an associate in a yellow jacket claiming to be "the one in charge of the lost and found area" and he said nothing was turned in. I then finished my shopping and called back around 1:30 AM and speaking to a different individual, I was told nothing was turned in. I left my wife's number and information about the phone and was told if something was turned in, they would call me back. The next day my wife called twice (2 different occasions) speaking to two different women all who said the same thing. Seeing that my phone must have been stolen and after determining that I needed it for work ASAP I decided to visit the local AT&T store and purchase a new phone. On my way home tonight hours after making my purchase, I decided to call one last time. I spoke to a lady in customer service that was extremely eager to help. She asked a lot of questions, politely out me on hold while she checked for it and asked around. After a few minutes (which is a few minutes longer than anyone else took) she told me that she found my phone. I asked her when it was turned in and she said that it was turned in last night! So basically she is telling me that no one else took the initiative to even look around for my phone. Had anyone taken the initiative like this employee (I wish I remembered her name) I would not have had to spend $750 on a new iPhone! Three weeks ago I placed a pick-up order. I arrived when I was text that the order was ready. I arrive & have to wait.......2 TWO hours!!!!! I could have gotten the damn groceries myself in that amount of time. The manager of the store refused to issue me a refund. She said there was a contract with a 3rd party. CONTRACT??!!! I was a Circuit Court Clerk for 20 years. If we have a contract then you broke the time frame of services to be rendered and I will take them to Circuit Court in Deland. The ruder she was to me, the louder I spoke. By the time she "retreated" there was a crowd of about 25 people. Monday, I had a delivery service pick up groceries for me. I stipulated NO SUBSTITUTIONS on the order. My filet mignon and received a bacon wrapped sirloin tip! YUCK!!! Don't waste your time or money. I'm not a fan of any Walmart, really, but where else are you going to go when you need Fruity Pebbles, super glue, and motor oil in one trip? Many would agree, that although convenient, Walmart isn't the greatest place to spend any length of time. THIS Walmart, however, is one of the WORST! They're poorly stocked. The floors are filthy. They never have enough lines open to check out.. and that's not for lack of available associate's. They just dont give a rat's a**! The options to clothing shoes in Bozeman women and children's is extremely limited. The stores from Lena is about average. But I have to say that the employee that called in at the end of the shift once this store is closing can be quite rude on more than one occasion that I've gone there she has literally yelled at customers that this lane is closed that lane is closed you need to bring your items now when standing right next to the registers grabbing some thing waiting for my turn. I get it that in a store that big people and sometimes trying it a little extra here and there but there is no need for redness a light telling people that they need to leave work just as well as screaming at people. If there was a closer Walmart to me I would definitely go to that one over this one but it seems to me that they may be taking advantage of the fact that there isn't a closer Walmart for quite some ways to the majority the people that live in these areas. read more

When it comes to Walmart, they are all the same. The only differences - the people and the layout. The store is laid out nicely and wasn't as cluttered as others that I have been to. There were adequate checkouts open which made checking out easy and painless. It seems with most stores they have a staffing issue which makes it harder on the consumer. I applied for a job at the new Neighborhood Market on South Woodland. While in the job application office I heard the manager sexually harass a job applicant. The manager, who might think himself a man, but I think not, was speaking to a group of job applicants. A woman job applicant asked him a question, 'What can we do to advance?' or to that effect. The manager replied with a leering "If you want to know the answer to that question, talk to me in private." A stunned silence followed, while he continued to look at his questioner. He followed up with 'Do you understand?' or something similar. His Walmart enablers were female. Think about this next time we save some pennies, & ask yourself, is there anyplace in the world where life is treated more cheaply than your United States of America. read more

Never had an issue with this Walmart until a few weeks ago, and again today. My husband and I (who are both over 21) went to this particular Walmart a few weeks ago, we purchased the usual stuff, groceries, and this time a few wine coolers. We used the self check-out and an associate came over to check my husbands ID (as he was the one scanning and putting things in our cart). She checked his ID and then proceed to ask where my ID was. I told her I didn't have it with me, I had left it in our car because I didn't think we would need it. She rudely told us, "2 ID's, or I cancel the sale." And proceeded to walk away. So I had to to walk (hobble more like, I was recovering from an injury and was wearing a rather cumbersome knee brace) out to our car and grab my ID before the associate reluctantly came back over, gave us the stink eye and approved the sale. We asked her if it was a new policy to check both ID's because we have been to this Walmart to purchase alcohol several times together and never had this happen to us before. She told us yes, that it is a new policy that because we came in the store together Walmart is "Required" to check both ID's. We figured we got a cranky worker and while we were frustrated we didn't think it would be a problem again and we left. Today however, the same thing happened when we bought a bottle of wine with our weekly groceries. My husband asked the worker this time what the policy would be had I been a minor. She responded with "Well if she was a minor, I'm assuming that you would be her father". Which to me was dumbfounding. My father? What if I was only 20? She then proceeded to grill my husband with "Well is she a minor? Is she? I'll cancel the sale!" As I'm trying to pull my ID out of my wallet. Overall not a good experience. We both felt feeling harassed and embarrassed (as the worker had made quite a scene in the check out lane). Not to mention, we called the store later just to get some clarification on the policy from a manager and this manager proceeded to tell us that this is ISN'T a policy at all and apologized to us for the inconvenience. Moral of the story: ALWAYS ask for a manger :( read more

This store is a real good place to stay away from. Many out of stocks , expired products and employees just don't care. I have called the company in Arkansas many times and would you believe it has got worse. It's obvious to me they don't care either. The last trip there they were out of hamburger, 2 pack chicken breasts and in family pack everyone of them expired the next day. I even asked an employee what was going on with the out of stocks that I felt it was getting worse. She agreed and said didn't know why . I am done going to Walmart and hope they lose their rear!! The sales associates who assisted me were nice but this is the Worst Walmart ever... pathetic... I ordered several items online for pickup in-store and placed an online grocery order. On the day of pickup I get an email that says one of my items was canceled because it is no longer in stock. Super. I get another email saying one of the other items was delayed and would be there after 6pm. So I go to the store at 6:30 and wait for a very long time for the person who is supposedly working the pickup counter. She never showed up even after being paged so the woman working layaways tried to assist me. She finds one item. Another she cannot locate and says she has to go find a flashlight so she can see back there (presumably the warehouse). Finally she comes back with another item. Then I ask where is the third item that I ordered, the one that was to be available after 6pm? And she says they do not have it and Walmart will send me an email once it arrives. Fantastic. I have nothing better to do with my time. Then go around the building to pick up my online grocery order. That was an even worse experience. They substituted WHEAT crackers for the gluten free ones that I ordered. Doh! It took the gal so long to remove the item from my order using her app that I packed my entire $275 order into my car myself. Then I get home and notice that THREE items are missing for which I was charged! NEVER never never shopping this store again. read more

I used to work at this deland Walmart, overnight for near 6 years they never had me as the correct job code actually I was hired as a stocker but was a stocker, assembler, greeter. 6 months before I was to be 100% vested the at that time Co manager and an assistant manager called me in back and just fired me, said I was harassing customers, I said where's proof, all they said was we have letters but would never produce even one. I spoke to 2 attorneys who said it's Florida, right to work state. Needless to say I barely go in there anymore. Walmart sent me a letter I'm not rehireable. FML!!!!! read more
