If you love Keylime, you would love this store and you don't have to drive all the way to the Keys. They have everything from ice cream to pies rice crispytreats, cookies, you name it. I learned they partnered with Disney and the disney cruise line for there rice crispy treats. They have water taffy too. They also have treats for dogs and toys and littlebandannas. I love how this place is decorated very fun and modern. They lady here was very nice and helpful and very informative. If you love key lime then this is the place for you.

If you can't make it to the Florida Keys for the best (as reported by many) key lime pie, their factory is tucked away amongst other small warehouses and factories in DeLand, FL. The cost of the items are cheaper than those sold in the Keys. My husband and I have intended to visit Kermit's sooner, but when we had family coming to town, we thought it would be the perfect place to purchase "Florida" themed gifts....and because I'd been wanting to try chocolate covered key lime pie on a stick. The store front is pretty small and is not a cafe like their location in the Keys. The lone employee that was by present was not very friendly (I felt almost like we were intruding) nor helpful, so my husband and I wandered around trying to figure out what some of the items and sauces were. We decided to buy our family some key lime flavored cooking sauces and key lime flavored peanuts and of course a key lime pie. For ourselves, we bought white chocolate covered key lime pie on a stick. My husband loved the key lime pie, but it was a little too tart for me (and I normally love key lime pie), so I suggest tasting it for yourself and be the tiebreaker!

My co-worker and I took a little field trip to Kermit's Key Lime Shoppe. We did come out with a lot of goodies! From sauce for wings to Key Lime Pie covered in dark chocolate on a stick! For a small shop in DeLand, this place had a lot of products to offer. They had dog treats, soap, lip balm, dressing (I personally would love to see more salad dressing choices), cookies, candies and so much more. The number one thing you shouldn't leave without is some key lime pie! They sell slices, whole pies, slices on a stick covered with chocolate, and strawberry key lime! They offer a store discount, which is very nice! If you like key lime, I highly recommend you visit this place!

My Grandma and Grandpa took me here while we were visiting them in DeLand, and I'm just sad I didn't know about this before. I was saying I needed to bring back some things to people at work when I go back home. Goodness, there are so many Key Lime items to buy here and everything is just so good. They have samples of nearly everything, and if they don't you can ask them and they might just make you a sample. The Key Lime Cookies are to die for! I couldn't help myself but I bought about 5 boxes, the cookie tins are so cute and such great souvenirs! The true winner is the Key Lime Pies. We got some single slices and they are totally worth it. I don't even like Key Lime! But the Strawberry Key Lime Pie will have me dreaming of it until I come back. Best part is there is always a 20% discount is what I'm told! Pays to go to the source! The staff is so friendly and helpful! She had all sorts of samples to offer us and was so sweet. We really enjoyed our visit here! We will be back for sure every year we come and visit. If this is what Key West is about then I have to go to Key West for sure!

This is where key lime pie dreams come true! This is the place to go, and can you believe it's in Deland. I never knew about Deland until the Stetson Mansion came under my radar. I visited there for their Xmas tour, and this place was in their emails. I had to stop by and sad to say they closed on Saturday at 3 pm right after I finished my tour. I came back today and was so excited. Enjoyed my favorite chocolate covered key lime pie which I first enjoyed when I was in Key West. I bought a few for more for my hubby and father. We also picked up key lime pie cookies and strawberry key lime pie. They have cookies, jellies, peanuts, lotions, sauces, gift baskets and other items as well. You can also go on their site and order online. So happy I could go into their shop and think of Key West fun times and have their yummy key lime goodness! Ahh Florida yummies!

I've heard nothing but amazing things about BakeChop in DeLand (110 Artisan Aly, right in the heart…read moreof downtown), so I finally had to check it out--and wow, it lived up to every bit of the hype and then some! This scratch kitchen spot has quickly become one of my favorite places in town, and after our recent visit, my guests and I were all blown away. The food was absolutely amazing, impressing everyone at the table so much that we're already planning our next trip back--definitely going to be regulars from here on out. Everything is made from scratch with fresh, high-quality ingredients, and you can taste the care and love that goes into each dish. Their menu is creative and diverse--think insanely good hand-crafted sandwiches, burgers that are huge and perfectly executed (juicy patties on toasted buns, cooked exactly to order with complex, flavorful toppings), hearty salads, quiches, sloppy joes, and daily specials that keep things exciting. We tried a mix of items, and nothing disappointed; flavors were bold, portions generous, and every bite was packed with that homemade goodness. The homemade desserts and rocking sweets are worth saving room for too--they're the perfect finish to an already stellar meal. The vibe is cozy and welcoming--cute little spot with indoor/outdoor seating, great service that's attentive and friendly (staff makes you feel like family right away), and it's in such a charming part of Artisan Alley next to the brewery, perfect for a casual lunch, dinner, or just hanging out. They even offer delivery and catering if you want to bring that magic home or to an event. BakeChop is the real deal--a local gem putting heart into food, family, friends, and good times. If you're in DeLand and haven't been yet, stop waiting and go try it. You won't be disappointed; we'll be back often for sure! Highly recommend calling (386) 873-6524 or checking bakechop.com for the menu and hours. Keep up the incredible work, team! 1computeroutlet , 1websitenow

There was a market going on that we enjoyed exploring on our way over to the restaurant. It's not very big on the inside but does have tables inside and out. The inside is open allowing you views into the kitchen area. I ordered the Allicin Burger which is a beef burger with french onion reduction, crispy onion straws, swiss cheese, and garlic aioli. The meat was very juicy and flavorful. I enjoyed all the onions. It made for a solid meal. The old bay potato chips were a good pairing for the burger. My mom ordered a more traditional burger and she liked it. I noticed the bakery item display and it had a good selection. I deducted 1 star for customer service. While the food was very good, the service did not feel warm. Our server felt very cold and was short with us. She never once cracked a smile and it almost felt like we might have been bothering her by just being there. I wish we had a friendly server because it would have made the experience much more enjoyable.

My sister and I stumbled upon this gem after dinner, and let me tell you, it was the sweetest discovery of the evening. We were feeling a bit adventurous and decided to try something new. Though the name escapes me now (perhaps it's because I was too busy savoring every bite), it was a dreamy concoction of dark chocolate, fudge, and chocolate hard shells. Oh my goodness, it was like diving headfirst into a pool of chocolatey bliss! Each spoonful was a symphony of rich flavors and creamy textures that left us smitten. The ambiance of Sweet Spot Ice Cream is just as delightful as their treats. It's like stepping into a cozy little corner of paradise, with cheerful decor and a welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. But what truly sets this place apart is the friendly staff. The ambiance was inviting, stylish, and felt like the perfect setting for a weekend experience with friends. The food overall was good. The shrimp and grits were definitely the highlight for me full of flavor and well done. The steak, however, wasn't my favorite and didn't quite hit the mark. The fruit bowl was exactly that fruit in a bowl nothing special but fresh. The banana pudding was delicious and a sweet way to end the meal. The service was a bit inconsistent, which I believe was due to the waitress being very busy. There were a few moments where we waited longer than expected for menus, straws, or even water. While noticeable, it didn't completely take away from the experience and felt more like a staffing issue than a lack of care. Overall, I would absolutely return for brunch with friends. While the strip wasn't the best I've had, it was cooked perfectly. Dessert was a bit hit or miss. We tried all the pies -- most were decent and nicely presented, though nothing stood out. The salted caramel cheesecake had a grainy texture rather than being smooth. Service was friendly, but a little rushed. Courses came out too quickly, making it hard to enjoy each one before the next arrived. The table became crowded with plates, and the pace felt chaotic at times. The server was kind and seemed possibly overwhelmed. Overall, a good meal with solid food, but pacing and a few execution details could use some attention.
