I go here at least few times a month. I have ordered lunch items, coffee, teas and of course THE BAKED GOODS. I cannot express how fresh and tasty everything always is. My kids love this place and sometimes I get things for my employees and friends. Very friendly owner and staff and service is always on a 5 star level. I love coming here it's such a cute little place where you can sit on a little bench or at the table and enjoy you can also birds around you while you take a bite of delicious fresh cake or a scone. If you have it been here you should definitely try it! You can also use drive thru if you don't feel like getting out of the car.

I stopped by while in downtown DeLand recently. What a treat! They have a menu that is updated by the minute. While I was sitting there eating my scone I saw works move in and out to update the board. It seems that their cupcakes are very popular as are their iced teas. I enjoyed a blueberry scone and hibiscus tea - both were delicious. The outdoor seating is very cute and can provide a nice view away from the chaos of the main road. I'll be stopping by again the next time I'm in town.

I had the strawberry shortcake. The whipped cream was fresh from scratch, the strawberries were soaked with plenty of juice with homemade cake! It's like stepping into a scene from a Hallmark movie. It's a great place to ride your bike to and enjoy a treat. The service is welcoming and the sights are relaxing. Must try!!

Super cute bakery, just like you would expect with a name like Buttercup. There is a walk up window with a full display of sweet delights. Wow! Hard to choose and most likely will come back one more time before I leave. Thoroughly enjoyed the Lemon Kentucky Butter cake on the front patio with a cup of regular Colombian coffee. I was shocked to see how busy the drive up window is on a Tuesday afternoon! Off the beaten path of the main drag, but worth every delicious bite!

Such a cute quaint little bakery shop! You order at the outside walk-up window or drive-thru. They have teas, coffees, sandwiches & a beautiful assortment of desserts. I asked & this building was built specially as a bakery & the owners have been in business 16 years. We got the Kentucky Butter Cake & so far it is too cold to eat, the icing is sort of hard. Going to let it acclimate to room temperature before trying again. Pricey for a standard slice cut $6.25 + tax. But will still return to try out the different bars. Tons of ducks waddling around here. And a nice little pond out back. Girl who works there was very sweet & helpful (sorry didn't get her name).

This scratch kitchen spot has quickly become one of my favorite places in town, and after our recent visit, my guests and I were all blown away. The food was absolutely amazing, impressing everyone at the table so much that we're already planning our next trip back--definitely going to be regulars from here on out. Everything is made from scratch with fresh, high-quality ingredients, and you can taste the care and love that goes into each dish. Their menu is creative and diverse--think insanely good hand-crafted sandwiches, burgers that are huge and perfectly executed (juicy patties on toasted buns, cooked exactly to order with complex, flavorful toppings), hearty salads, quiches, sloppy joes, and daily specials that keep things exciting. We tried a mix of items, and nothing disappointed; flavors were bold, portions generous, and every bite was packed with that homemade goodness. The homemade desserts and rocking sweets are worth saving room for too--they're the perfect finish to an already stellar meal. The vibe is cozy and welcoming--cute little spot with indoor/outdoor seating, great service that's attentive and friendly (staff makes you feel like family right away), and it's in such a charming part of Artisan Alley next to the brewery, perfect for a casual lunch, dinner, or just hanging out. They even offer delivery and catering if you want to bring that magic home or to an event. BakeChop is the real deal--a local gem putting heart into food, family, friends, and good times. If you're in DeLand and haven't been yet, stop waiting and go try it. You won't be disappointed; we'll be back often for sure! Highly recommend calling (386) 873-6524 or checking bakechop.com for the menu and hours. Keep up the incredible work, team! 1computeroutlet , 1websitenow

The meat was very juicy and flavorful. I enjoyed all the onions. It made for a solid meal. The old bay potato chips were a good pairing for the burger. My mom ordered a more traditional burger and she liked it. I noticed the bakery item display and it had a good selection. I deducted 1 star for customer service. While the food was very good, the service did not feel warm. Our server felt very cold and was short with us. She never once cracked a smile and it almost felt like we might have been bothering her by just being there. The ambiance was inviting, stylish, and felt like the perfect setting for a weekend experience with friends. The food overall was good. The shrimp and grits were definitely the highlight for me full of flavor and well done. The steak, however, wasn't my favorite and didn't quite hit the mark. The fruit bowl was exactly that fruit in a bowl nothing special but fresh. The banana pudding was delicious and a sweet way to end the meal. The service was a bit inconsistent, which I believe was due to the waitress being very busy. There were a few moments where we waited longer than expected for menus, straws, or even water. While noticeable, it didn't completely take away from the experience and felt more like a staffing issue than a lack of care. Overall, I would absolutely return for brunch with friends.
