What a great spot! A little hidden gem, I had passed so many times and not realized how many local businesses were situated in this À La Cart area. I learned about what beans they were using from Ethiopia and signed up for a coffee education session with the roaster himself in a few weeks! I got a flat white with oat milk which was truly great and bought a bag of beans to use with my espresso machine at home! The service was great and I loved getting to chat about coffee. There were plenty of places to sit outdoors and on a chilly overcast morning it was so cozy to sit and people watch while enjoying my drink :). Will definitely be back!

There was lots of candies that I haven't seen in along time. This shop has one of the longest fresh chocolate cases I've seen. There was so much fudge options and other goodies. We got several chocolates to enjoy later in our hotel. They were delicious. The staff here is the sweetest. We felt so welcomed and were greeted right away when we entered. The milk shake had just the right amount of sweetness and thickness consistency. The shot of expresso mixed with ice cream was the perfect mix, and a great afternoon pick me up. Whenever in DeLand this will always be a stop for me.

My sister and I stumbled upon this gem after dinner, and let me tell you, it was the sweetest discovery of the evening. We were feeling a bit adventurous and decided to try something new. Though the name escapes me now (perhaps it's because I was too busy savoring every bite), it was a dreamy concoction of dark chocolate, fudge, and chocolate hard shells. Oh my goodness, it was like diving headfirst into a pool of chocolatey bliss! Each spoonful was a symphony of rich flavors and creamy textures that left us smitten. The ambiance of Sweet Spot Ice Cream is just as delightful as their treats. It's like stepping into a cozy little corner of paradise, with cheerful decor and a welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. But what truly sets this place apart is the friendly staff. They're like the cherry on top of an already perfect sundae, always ready with a smile and a willingness to help you find your new favorite flavor. So, if you're ever in Deland and craving a sweet escape, do yourself a favor and swing by Sweet Spot Ice Cream. Trust me, this sure was a sweet spot for ice cream. The ambiance was inviting, stylish, and felt like the perfect setting for a weekend experience with friends. The food overall was good. The shrimp and grits were definitely the highlight for me full of flavor and well done. The steak, however, wasn't my favorite and didn't quite hit the mark. The fruit bowl was exactly that fruit in a bowl nothing special but fresh. The banana pudding was delicious and a sweet way to end the meal. The service was a bit inconsistent, which I believe was due to the waitress being very busy. There were a few moments where we waited longer than expected for menus, straws, or even water. While noticeable, it didn't completely take away from the experience and felt more like a staffing issue than a lack of care. Overall, I would absolutely return for brunch with friends. The atmosphere alone makes it worth another visit, and with the right company, it's a great spot to enjoy a relaxed and beautiful brunch experience.

For appetizers, we tried the coconut shrimp, Table tots, spinach dip, and charcuterie. Everything was fantastic except the shrimp, which were a bit overcooked. The rest of the starters were flavorful and well prepared. Most of our group ordered the NY strip since they were out of the filet, while others chose the meatloaf, mushroom pasta, and a few other dishes. Portions were generous and the food was tasty. While the strip wasn't the best I've had, it was cooked perfectly. Dessert was a bit hit or miss. We tried all the pies -- most were decent and nicely presented, though nothing stood out. The salted caramel cheesecake had a grainy texture rather than being smooth. Service was friendly, but a little rushed. Courses came out too quickly, making it hard to enjoy each one before the next arrived. The table became crowded with plates, and the pace felt chaotic at times. The server was kind and seemed possibly overwhelmed. Overall, a good meal with solid food, but pacing and a few execution details could use some attention.

The location I stopped at was in an outdoor strip mall and I parked in a big lot, not on the street. Nevertheless!! I am LONG overdue on this review! I stopped in for a coffee after wandering around Cassadaga one Friday. The coffee house's vibe was definitely Bostonian. I thought it was cute and clever! Both baristas were very friendly and helpful. Warm, actually. They didn't seem annoyed to be providing service..the way many baristas do at various locations. I had a long and productive chat with Diana, which definitely has management qualities. She is a visionary also, and we brainstormed fun ideas for the shop. No skin int he game for me; I just Ama natural born idea producer (they come so easily to me) and I'm always up for a chat about how to creatively expand small businesses. My order was GREAT. Definitely had a late, but also had a dessert. Wish I could remember what it was, but I do remember that I was very happy with my choice, which I was helped to make:) I wish this coffee shop all the best success!! Great concept. What an incredible gem in Deland!…read more Parva is a delightful restaurant, bar, and bakery right on Woodland Blvd. The entire staff was warm and welcoming, and the service was excellent throughout our time here. We arrived early for our reservation and grabbed seats at the bar. We were immediately greeted with a smile and extensive menus! This menu is so vast, it reminded me of the Cheesecake Factory in the best way. There is truly something for everyone here. Carnivores, vegetarians, vegans, you name it. I opted for the vegetarian "Vegetable Bowl" and my husband went for the fajitas after another guest recommended both items. The cilantro sauce and the caramelized plantains were my favorite part of the Vegetable bowl, and my husband loved every bite of his fajitas. Everything was hot, fresh, and it arrived quickly. There are a number of different dining areas here and we loved sitting in the back dining room in a comfy booth. Even though other diners were present, it felt like we had the place to ourselves because the tables are spaced far enough apart that there's plenty of personal space. No need to shout to hear your dining companions. All in all we loved Parva and look forward to coming back on our next trip to Deland.
