We just had the most amazing and unusual experience with Walmart Pharmacy employees that I needed to share and commend them! I set up two appointments- one for my 78 yo mother and the other for myself, a 65 yo female , to receive our annual Covid and Flu shots. Upon check in, Ariel first attended to us. Apparently there was mix up online, where the computer had scheduled my mother for a Thursday Covid shot, and a Friday Flu shot (same time slot). This was obviously an error, so Ariel took the time to correct the mistake in the computer, which took at least 10-12 minutes. We really appreciated that, as my mom uses a Walker, and did not want to have to make that exertion a second day. When it came to me, they had the Flu shot approved, but my insurance (a Medicare Part D vendor) refused the Covid treatment. Since I am 65, and in the class entitled to that immunization, I was dismayed. Ariel then introduced us to the Pharmacist, Laura. She also did not understand it, and took to the computer to look in to it further. When that wasn't helpful Laura actually took the time to call my insurer. After quite a bit of back and forth, almost 30 minutes later, she was able to get my Covid immunization approved! Please note that during all this, the Pharmacist, Laura, still managed to attend to each patient/visitor who had questions and concerns... quite amazing to witness! Never in my many years, have I experienced such a high level of customer service at even a doctors office, let alone a retail pharmacy! Walmart should know what amazing emissaries these two people are for your company, and what an indelible impression they made on us. We cannot recommend Walmart pharmacy enough. Thank You! read more

Had an appointment to get an oil change. After nearly 2 hours of a wait, they had not even started. Where they busy--- nope all the bays empty. Three employees and a manager... most of them hanging out with the girls on the floor instead of working . Ball they were talking about was having sex with each other on the most part and flirting with each other. Asked to talk to the store manager. Had three people say the store manager is never there. Had to demand my car back and the arguing and lies. Avoid this store. I feel bad for the workers there that actually do work. Zero management read more

I have never given a review on anything because I can keep my cool most of the time but this walmart is outrageous. I went with my girlfriend to get a new xbox controller when we ended up in line behind a woman whose card was declining. Although I only needed one item I didn't mind waiting behind this woman because she was being very respectful and nice. The cashier at the time named Paul was not talking much, if he did it was the rudest manner I have ever heard from a cashier. When the woman in front of me asked him to suspend her grocery bill to give her time to figure out why her card wasn't working Paul rolled his eyes and rudely asked another employee for something. Even when I got my item and I had the money right in front of him he was still being a dick head. P.s. don't be rude to people if you can barely fit through a door and walk straight! read more

I enjoy coming to this wal mart. It's extremely clean. We found everything that we needed. It had an employee who was off the clock and shopping who helped us find pillow cases. The check out time was speedy , and we were in and out. read more

This location is okay as far as Walmarts go and they do have a Murphy's express out front but not nearly as cool as my new hometown location. There's very little beach stuff and their fishing and sports can't compare to the Gulf Shores location. The people were okay too but not terribly enthusiastic when it comes to greetings or responses to questions. read more

I was shopping at the Daphne Alabama location on highway 98 Daphne Al 36526 and I had the best experience . Haleigh helped me out with something . It wasn't a big deal but the way she helped and her attitude and willingness to make sure I was taken care of really surprised me because I don't always get that at the stores everywhere these days not just Walmart . But she deserves to be recognized and perhaps shown as an example to other team members on how to behave and perform their job . She is super sweet and professional . I almost never do this, but management/someone needs to see this and address the issue. I tried to find a direct line to management, but couldn't. May go there. I go to Daphne WalMart all the time. There is one lady who usually works at #5-her tag says she's been there over 25 yrs- I don't know how. She never speaks, says the price or anything, UNLESS, it's 'certain' ones. I've noticed this on multiple occasions. I usually avoid her checkout unless she's the only one and if I have too much to do self check out. BUT tonight TOPPED her. On no. 5, there was a young man-Javi- who had one customer he was almost done with. The other 2 checkout lines were longer, so I went to him. As I put my items on belt, I heard him say something, so I turned to him "sorry, what did you say?" His response "I'm not talking to you". I said oh ok. I continued to put items on belt. He then said "keep going that's just somebody who thanks (should be thinks) she can't go to no other checkout sides mine (yes, with that grammar). Appalled, I ignored it. When I finished putting items on belt, I then started putting bags in cart. He had phone laying beside his CARMEX BESIDE the scanner and continuously stopped scanning to scroll to social media, change song selection (yes he had large ear pod in), etc. He would put one roll of paper towel in a bag then try to stuff multiple large items in one bag. But, the number of times he stopped to scroll on phone was unbelievable! I know the work ethic of a lot of people these days is subpar, but this topped the cake. The only time he looked up and said 'hey how y'all doin' was when 'certain' ones walked by. I guess it's something about no. 5! Anyway, things like this shouldn't bother me, but I think it's pathetic for ones like this to be allowed to do this when there are so many other employees there that are truly wonderful. Simple to say just avoid his checkout when you go next time, but that's what he wants (as evidenced by his statement to the person he was on a call with) while the other truly wonderful employees get long lines. read more

Looks like it's time for some updated reviews of this store. Absolutely the worst WM in Baldwin Co! Never any more than one cashier (other than self-checkout). They don't care how many customers are in line. We saw a young male employee today with the waist of his pants below his buttocks and a good view of his underwear. So very professional! No carts in the store. All the return racks in the parking lot were full. I guess no one wants to work any more. Always several employees sitting at the picnic tables out front. Guess it's always "break time". We avoid this one as much as possible and usually try to go to Bay Minette. They have really stepped up and obviously gotten some new management in the last couple of years. Daphne needs a visit (and clean sweep) from corporate in my opinion. read more

I enjoy finding just about anything I need, at low prices, at Walmart. What I don't enjoy is rude, and out right mean cashiers. I was at this Walmart, on a Sunday of all days and was treated very badly by an irate cashier. I don't know if she was forced to come in and work there against her will...but, she was looking for someone to take it out on and unfortunately it was me and the poor young mom in line behind me. 0 stars is what I give this Walmart because they are responsible for their employees behavior. 5 stars for the young man that was a greeter that morning. Very kind and had me smiling until, that is, I had to check out at the WRONG counter...she was looking for a fight...I kept silent because I was afraid of what she would do next. Full disclosure: I despise all Wal-Mart stores. In my opinion, Sam Walton's American dream has turned into America's nightmare. This Wal-Mart is no different than the rest. They never have enough registers open and the place is filthy. I'm not talking a little dirty, it's disgusting! The floors look like they haven't been cleaned in years and there's food on them. Do they not sell cleaning supplies here? I would suggest going to Target, Walgreens, CVS, Winn-Dixie and Publix all to avoid one trip to this dreadful store. It's that bad. read more

I dread going into this horrible walmart!!! The people are very unfriendly/helpful except for a few, always regret going here. Today and yesterday both experiences were less than desired for a good shopping experience. Yesterday, I spent over $300 using self check out. A plant I got from garden didn't have a scanner on it the girl, in the area, a young black girl in her 20's?) didn't have a name tag so I couldn't use her name, refused to call the CSM or help find the price, instead she told me to go pay for it in the garden center. I had to go get a CSM to get the pricing myself! Today I had to return items in customer service with receipts the girl who waited on me, Maria was very rude and literally had to get the CSM for every receipt. The CSM, Lynda was also rude until I asked her name, then she decided to help me and expedite the transaction. On item I exchanged which she told me to go get it and she would exchange it. It took me about 2 minutes to return with the item and Maria was cleaning her counter with another woman waiting. There was another clerk finishing up with another customer. I walked up to Maria and handed her the item, which she told me to go wait in line again!!! I got in line and thankfully the other clerk called me over put the item in a bag and told me to go, all of one second of her time!!! Who wants to drop hundreds of dollars into a store like this?? I even own Walmart stock! I would rather shop at Piggly Wiggly. There was a clerk in garden who was outstanding, didn't see her name but she was a blond white woman of medium build!! read more

I wish I could give zero stars for this horrible Walmart!!! We came across the bay from mobile to do some birthday shopping and the kids wanted to stop by here, I regret stopping!! The customer service is horrible, staff is rude... they close at 11, we were checking out at 9:45 and all the registers were shut down even the self checkouts they only had 4 open for the whole store and no cash payments only card....they were closing down the store an hour and half early.... none of the registers were working, blinking red lights and the 3 girls working up front were all standing around hanging out not helping any customers!! read more

I totally agree that the shelves are MUCH too empty, and not enough sales clerks - the same problems apply to Walmart stores nationwide. But also prices of every single item I purchased were higher than I had been paying only a few weeks before. Styrofoam cup prices, for example had risen by 12%. Gallons of baby water were up by 24%, and Great Value biscuits were higher by 30%! These are NOT small increases, and most items in the store have been repriced. read more

On today's date, October 26, 2014 at 9:09 a.m.; my father went into the Walmart in Daphne, Alabama to purchase a few items. Among those items was a $45.00 phone minute card. My aging father is an extremely friendly man, a flirt, but nevertheless a honest man. Upon arriving back home, he discovered that the telephone card he purchased was not in the bag. He immediately went back to the store, and spoke to the manager, Patsy. He let her know that he purchased a telephone card, and the card was not in the bag. He was advised to wait for a while. After a few minutes, he was informed (without hesitation) that they had checked the store camera and the cashier placed the phone card in the bag with the eggs. Problem is...there is no phone card in the bag with the eggs. No way it could have fallen out of the bag, as the eggs were in the basket separated from the rest of the food and it would have easily been noticed that it fell out. Nothing was done by the store manager, Patsy, to refund the money to my father for the money he spent. He was simply told ' it was in the bag with the eggs', and sent on his way. This store really slacked on proper customer service. One, I don't believe the story; and felt it should have been handled better to ensure the customer was properly compensated for his loss. Two, why would a phone card be placed in a bag with eggs? Anyone that has bagged groceries knows that this should have been given to the purchaser in hand. Instead of short changing customers, the manager should be checking to ensure that she doesn't have thieves on the register. read more

This Walmart is pretty good as far as walmarts go. I prefer to go in later in the evenings and get my shopping done when it's not too busy, but the employees are helpful when you can find them and the store is usually stocked very well. They are also great about price matching and having enough cash registers open. read more

Daphne Walmart just lost my business forever. We ordered a pair of headphones from walmart.com and had them shipped to the store. Long story short, the headphones never shipped, and the online store offered to make it right, but the item would not arrive in time. So I went to my local store in Daphne to see if they would honor the same offer as walmart.com, and I was told too bad. I don't understand how the online store can do the proper thing by the customer, but the guy looking me in the eye refuses to do what is right. Never again will I set foot in another Walmart for groceries, electronics or any other good that I need. You need to be very skeptical in doing business with this company. read more
