Local coffee

So I wanted to go to Publix because we don't have one in Louisiana. Guess what I learned? I am spoiled rotten for Rouses. Sure, Publix is great and all that but it's not Rouses. I thought this store was laid out kind of weird and stuff was just all over the place. The aisles were too long and narrow with people standing right in the middle not moving for anyone trying to get by. It honestly reminded me of Walmart. They did carry some local items which I picked up for gifts...Fairhope Roasting coffee is wonderful, by the way. All in all I will stick with my beloved Rouses when it comes to local grocery stores. There is super nice, fairly new one in Spanish Fort you guys. Just a hop, skip and a jump away.

Around lunchtime on two different days recently, the salad bar was out of lettuce. What the heck? A salad bar out of lettuce?

I love Publix grocery stores; always clean, friendly employees and fresh food. Never felt threatened in the parking lot.

It's fine as far a Publix goes- the service at the deli is not too good.

Kinda pricey and seems to cater to an older crowd, but it is close and the people there are always nice.

DO NOT GO TO THIS PHARMACY! They are disorganized, rude and when they simply decide not to speak on…read morethe phone they'll simply disconnect you. It's possibly the absolute worst experience and service I have ever experienced.

HORRIBLE, CRUEL TO A PERSON RESCUED FROM NOLA IDA HURRICANE…read more I was moving from Woodlands Texas area back home to FL I was driving to Mobile and my Airbnb cancelled, I grabbed the only next one and it was as in NOLA. I tried to find something from Mobile to Ft Walton and everything was gone because of the storm. I had to ride it out in NOLA. We had 2 toniradoes almost break a levvy where I was so the military and the great firemen of New Orleans rescued me out, got me to my car that was on high ground and told me a way to the interstate that I wouldn't hit a down line. I get on the road and get to Slidell and found N Airbnb called the Pottery House and booked it in Foley. All needed was an hour to a bed! However, when you get rescued you don't get to grab anything- they are trying to save your life. I have my phone and Walmart pay and Apple Pay. I have fibromyalgia, if I don't get my nerve meds I will have to go to the emergency room to go get them. This leads me to this pharmacy. I met a women who acted nice but as I would come to find out, her evil ways and cruelty only was over shadowed by the manager Michael. It took her over an hour and a half to basically tell me I owed 35 dollars. Sure no big deal. I had just bought on Walmart pay and it went through, I thought awesome. I went to pay for the meds. Well my Walmart pay on the tablet said for my security-- I couldn't use the payments. SO instead of suggesting I call Walmart Pay and see what the security block was we go through tons of hassle. Mind you I've only had a shower at this point and 0 sleep. Elizabeth told one of the cashiers about my Chime banking card which was HIGHLY odd to mention and quite frankly irrelevant what bank I used. I go through all this rigamonro that Elizabeth suggested. Nothing worked. Then they call the manager Michael for "help" because he will know what to do. What does he do? Comes up to me starts yelling and asks them if he should call the cops. I was just standing there tears in my eyes when he started doing that!!! I was trying to get NERVE MEDICINE to not have to go to the hospital after I was rescued! Michael was proud he responded the way he did and told me to tell everyone because that's how he runs his store! MY GOODNESS! So, I simply drove 20 more mins away to another Walmart. I was there 15 mins. I got my medicine and it was FREE because of my insurance. FREE not 35 dollars. FREE! 1.5 hours, all that drama, no medicine, yelled at and treated as a liar, when you have someone YOU knew was just rescued 4 hours earlier is GROSS. I will be going all the way with corporate about this as it's SICK and gross. 1.5 hours/35 dollars/no help or empathy VS 15 mins/FREE/kindness. Y'all are all wrong for that!!!

I had an extremely inappropriate experience at the Fairhope Walmart on Christmas Eve. About 15…read moreminutes before closing, while shopping normally and trying to finish last-minute items, I was approached by a man in plain clothes who did not identify himself and was not wearing any Walmart uniform or badge. Without explanation, he repeatedly told me to "get out of here" and "you need to get out of here," over and over again. He then said he was going to follow me around until I left and claimed police were already present and that he would call them on me. At no point did he explain who he was or what authority he had. The store was still open, I was doing nothing suspicious, and his behavior actively interfered with my ability to finish shopping. It was intimidating, inappropriate, and completely unacceptable. Customers should never be harassed or ordered to leave an open store by an unidentified individual. This was reported to Walmart corporate and their "ethics"department.. All I have to say is management needs to take this seriously, because no customer should be treated this way. And I will make sure I am heard.

I use to like the Walmart, as much as one can like Walmart. It has gone down over the last few years. I try to limit all visits if possible.
