HORRIBLE, CRUEL TO A PERSON RESCUED FROM NOLA IDA HURRICANE
I was moving from Woodlands Texas area back home to FL I was driving to Mobile and my Airbnb cancelled, I grabbed the only next one and it was as in NOLA. I tried to find something from Mobile to Ft Walton and everything was gone because of the storm. I had to ride it out in NOLA. We had 2 toniradoes almost break a levvy where I was so the military and the great firemen of New Orleans rescued me out, got me to my car that was on high ground and told me a way to the interstate that I wouldn't hit a down line. I get on the road and get to Slidell and found N Airbnb called the Pottery House and booked it in Foley. All needed was an hour to a bed! However, when you get rescued you don't get to grab anything- they are trying to save your life. I have my phone and Walmart pay and Apple Pay.
I have fibromyalgia, if I don't get my nerve meds I will have to go to the emergency room to go get them. This leads me to this pharmacy. I met a women who acted nice but as I would come to find out, her evil ways and cruelty only was over shadowed by the manager Michael. It took her over an hour and a half to basically tell me I owed 35 dollars. Sure no big deal. I had just bought on Walmart pay and it went through, I thought awesome. I went to pay for the meds. Well my Walmart pay on the tablet said for my security-- I couldn't use the payments. SO instead of suggesting I call Walmart Pay and see what the security block was we go through tons of hassle. Mind you I've only had a shower at this point and 0 sleep. Elizabeth told one of the cashiers about my Chime banking card which was HIGHLY odd to mention and quite frankly irrelevant what bank I used.
I go through all this rigamonro that Elizabeth suggested. Nothing worked. Then they call the manager Michael for "help" because he will know what to do. What does he do? Comes up to me starts yelling and asks them if he should call the cops. I was just standing there tears in my eyes when he started doing that!!! I was trying to get NERVE MEDICINE to not have to go to the hospital after I was rescued!
Michael was proud he responded the way he did and told me to tell everyone because that's how he runs his store!
MY GOODNESS!
So, I simply drove 20 more mins away to another Walmart. I was there 15 mins. I got my medicine and it was FREE because of my insurance. FREE not 35 dollars. FREE! 1.5 hours, all that drama, no medicine, yelled at and treated as a liar, when you have someone YOU knew was just rescued 4 hours earlier is GROSS. I will be going all the way with corporate about this as it's SICK and gross. 1.5 hours/35 dollars/no help or empathy VS 15 mins/FREE/kindness.
Y'all are all wrong for that!!! read more
