I bought about $60 worth of groceries and probably would have paid at least $6-$8 more at Rouses, Publix or Winn-Dixie.

One experience that really stood out to me was when I went to pick up eggs and noticed that three separate cartons had broken eggs. I mentioned it to someone working in the dairy section, and he immediately stopped what he was doing to take care of it no hesitation, no delay. That kind of care and attentiveness really makes a difference. The store is always spotless, well-organized, and easy to navigate, which makes shopping such a pleasant experience. It's also the first grocery store I've ever seen with foam recycling, which shows they're making an effort toward sustainability too. I had never lived near a Publix before moving to Alabama just one brief visit while traveling. Coming from Arizona, I had no idea what I was missing. But now that I've experienced the cleanliness, quality, and exceptional service at Publix, I'm hooked. It's honestly one of the best grocery stores I've ever been to.

Once you…read moreexperience a Publix supermarket yourself, I am confident that you will understand how Publix has become such an iconic supermarket brand and has developed such a loyal customer base down here in the southeast. Publix has created a solid reputation by offering incredible customer service, great BOGO (buy one, get one free) deals, and we cannot forget their subs, which are affectionately known as "Pub Subs." Coming from New Jersey, a state known for their great subs, in a way, it hurts me to state that a supermarket has some of the best subs in the area. But it is also a 100% true statement. Publix subs are very good. My go-to sub is probably their Italian sub, which is truly a tasty offering. I also enjoy their roast beef and cheese sub. I would definitely recommend upgrading it by using Boar's Head meat. It is definitely worth the small upcharge. It is great to see Publix expanding beyond the boundaries of their home state of Florida and spreading throughout the southeast. Not only am I happy about it, but I am confident that the communities where Publix opens a location are very grateful for a Publix opening by them. This particular Publix is in a nice plaza and it is clean and has a good atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this particular Publix location or any Publix location for that matter and I give it five stars.

It is convenient to both the locals who call Daphne, Alabama home and the travelers cruising down Interstate 10. The Fresh Market is a supermarket geared more towards a higher end experience, more of a food destination type foodie-driven kind of place and their prices reflect that (although they will run sales). The meat department is good, as is the deli. Their Market things have some items you might not find in supermarkets like Publix or Winn-Dixie. All in all, I would recommend a visit here.

Here in Alabama as a Hurricane Ida evacuee, I decided to buy some Rao's pasta sauce on sale. Yeah, I was making big mama spaghetti at the hotel lol. I like tomato basil as it's excellent for lasagna and penne pasta dishes. Bolognese, Italian sausage, mushroom & bell pepper and Italian sausage & mushroom are my favs. Haven't tried the vodka sauce yet but I will. I normally make my tomato sauce from scratch like in The Godfather but I was pressed for time lol. So, this store has a ton of organic and fresh food products. Their meat department has friendly employees willing to help you with any questions about the enormous display of meats & seafood and if you need need fresh cuts of meats, they got you. I love that they still have butchers in this supermarket. I also love that there's a mix of meats like crab cakes, stuffed pork chops, tempura shrimp, stuffed duck and salmon burgers. Oh and the deli is also desirous with all sorts of pre-made lunches and dinners. Everything looked so tantalizing The store is a bit pricey but I love the variety of foods offered and great quality items. Reminds me of Kings Supermarket in Garden City, NY. So, for the reason of my visit: Rao's was only $5.99 and I bought 20 jars...yeah, it's just that amazing plus it's like $9.00+ a jar at other local grocers. This is the only store that regularly has it for $5.99. Oh and I'm a tea connoisseur and they keep a large variety of that as well as coffee. Needless to say, I'm a new fan and currently visit the St. Charles' store regularly. Try them, you'll be hooked.

The company was started in 1960 and has grown considerably by offering quality food at a decent price point in an attractive store setting. Again, the store has a very pleasing ambiance for a supermarket and has a great layout. I liked that they had a salad bar station and an olive bar station and I did spend a bit of time perusing a shelf specifically for products made in the state of Alabama. Karma was the name of the girl who checked me out and she was extremely friendly and professional. She is a fine representative of Rouses Market and Rouses Market is fortunate to have Karma on their team. We just had the most amazing and unusual experience with Walmart Pharmacy employees that I needed…read moreto share and commend them! I set up two appointments- one for my 78 yo mother and the other for myself, a 65 yo female , to receive our annual Covid and Flu shots. Upon check in, Ariel first attended to us. Apparently there was mix up online, where the computer had scheduled my mother for a Thursday Covid shot, and a Friday Flu shot (same time slot). This was obviously an error, so Ariel took the time to correct the mistake in the computer, which took at least 10-12 minutes. We really appreciated that, as my mom uses a Walker, and did not want to have to make that exertion a second day. When it came to me, they had the Flu shot approved, but my insurance (a Medicare Part D vendor) refused the Covid treatment. Since I am 65, and in the class entitled to that immunization, I was dismayed. Ariel then introduced us to the Pharmacist, Laura. She also did not understand it, and took to the computer to look in to it further. When that wasn't helpful Laura actually took the time to call my insurer. After quite a bit of back and forth, almost 30 minutes later, she was able to get my Covid immunization approved! Please note that during all this, the Pharmacist, Laura, still managed to attend to each patient/visitor who had questions and concerns... quite amazing to witness! Never in my many years, have I experienced such a high level of customer service at even a doctors office, let alone a retail pharmacy! Walmart should know what amazing emissaries these two people are for your company, and what an indelible impression they made on us. We cannot recommend Walmart pharmacy enough. Thank You!

I went with my girlfriend to get a new xbox controller when we ended up in line behind a woman whose card was declining. Although I only needed one item I didn't mind waiting behind this woman because she was being very respectful and nice. When the woman in front of me asked him to suspend her grocery bill to give her time to figure out why her card wasn't working Paul rolled his eyes and rudely asked another employee for something. Even when I got my item and I had the money right in front of him he was still being a dick head. P.s. don't be rude to people if you can barely fit through a door and walk straight!
