Clean store, super friendly employees. This location does not have all the bells and whistles of other locations I have seen, but it carries most of the same things and is the same quality. There is no salad or hot bar, and the prepared sandwiches weren't there, but there is a little deli section where you can order meals and sandwiches. I grabbed a couple of pre-packaged things like deli mac n cheese and a little slice of key lime pie, as well as a couple of other thigs. It's like a Mini Publix in the way of services, but same size as most the others. I chose to go to a check out line, and both the register and bagging employees were super friendly and efficient. read more

This particular Publix is located off of US 98 in Daphne, Alabama. I am both surprised and glad that Publix continues to expand. I guess I should not be so surprised, Publix truly does set the bar I go to a supermarket should and could be here in the southeastern United States. Publix has capitalized on their incredible customer service. This alone could put them at the forefront of supermarkets here in the southeast, But the fact that they offer a great BOGO (buy one, get one free) deals only makes them that much more attractive. We also cannot forget that Publix makes an incredible sub, affectionately known as a Pub Sub. I am a big fan of their Italian sub, plus will have them make a special sub of sopressata and provolone. But whatever sub you choose, you cannot go wrong. My daughter would recommend their chicken tenders sub and she does not even like sandwiches. Publix also make sure that there are enough locations in any given area. You cannot go very far and not find a Publix if they are in that area. After leaving this Publix, where I just bought an iced tea, I came across another one possibly two or three miles further up the road. Well this just proves that Publix goes the extra mile to make it easier and better for you, their customer. I definitely recommend a visit here. read more

I see my cousin posting on FB every day that she's at Publix. I've always wondered if she grocery shops daily, or if going to the grocery store is just her idea of a good time. I think it's the latter. Nonetheless, when I moved here, I was so excited to see that we had a Publix and I just couldn't wait to check this place out! The verdict? Well, it's a nice little grocery store. They have pretty much everything I need here, including a deli with Boar's Head meats and cheeses, which is a must. (They give samples. Ask for a sample of the smoked Gouda!) The bakery rolls out baked goodies consistently, so they're always very fresh. They have a good selection of seafood, but most of it isn't local, which is extremely disappointing considering this is the Gulf Coast. They also have an entire aisle with a large selection of wine and beer, both domestic and imports. The produce department and meat department are both adequate. Like most grocery stores, they have a floral department and a pharmacy. It's not the monstrosity that I'm used to, but I definitely find everything I need here. In all honesty, one of my favorite things about Publix is the lady who cooks and gives out samples of quick and easy meals, along with the Publix recipe card. I mention this because they have so many ideas for weeknight meals that are healthy and delicious, and the recipe card is your shopping list. Great idea Publix! The prices seem a little high, but I think that's this whole area more so than this store. I haven't tried it, but I've been told they accept a manufacturer's coupon in addition to a store coupon, and they accept Target coupons. They also have a little section up front by the cooking lady, with 2 for the price of 1 deals on canned and boxed foods, and if you only buy one, its still half price. Nice! This is a nice little grocery store, even if I don't shop here every day. I do wish they would "pretty it up" a little. read more

For convenience I do Rouses. For good meal fixings I go to TFM. For good/great staples and much produce Publix has won me over. My fave is SF Daphne or Fairhope. They are all on my regular travel routes and very similar. All of the employees and patrons are very pleasant and the selections are more varied. The Pug is for cold adult beverages. Publix could step up the selections in that area. read more

On one recent visit I used the self checkout. All the scans went through okay but machine refused all my cards but one that I had to enter as a debit withdrawal. It was an embarrassing situation. After I got a free birthday cake email, I tried to follow the instructions that were in Spanish on the screen and the machine wouldn't accept my phone number. I don't speak or read Spanish. The checker lady didn't know how to proceed with the free offer and had to call for help. The checkout line was getting longer and longer. I got the cake free but had to verify my Club Publix Account which was also embarrassing. The employees were friendly and helpful. Not sure I would recommend Publix as my first choice in shopping. read more

Love coming here! Buy one get one free are my favorite part of shopping at publix. The store is clean and aisles are easily maneuverable. Free of debris. Everyone always greets you when you walk in the door and while in the store. They always offer to takes stuff to the car but I prefer to do it myself! read more

I have always loved shopping here...clean, well stocked, courteous and helpful staff. I cannot thank them enough for how excellently they are handling the COVID 19 shopping situation!! I went in this morning @7:30...my cart was sanitized and rolled to me by a smiling employee and I was greeted by several more! There were less than 20 shoppers in the whole store...most were wearing masks and totally aware of social distancing. I shopped quickly from my list...found most things I needed and was out of the store in less than 30 minutes. If you're not an on line shopper like me...this is the way to go! I always leave our local Publix in a much better mood than when I shop at Walmart (or most other stores). The employees are always friendly and helpful...and you have to respect any employer who gives challenged young adults a job. I love interacting with these special employees. I have continuous bad experiences with their pharmacy. Most of the techs are rude and when you are sick and waiting for medicine their high caliber attitudes are infuriating. With that said a few of the cashiers are rude but most are nice. The lady that stocks the dairy meat and cheese area is also nice. The baggers really need some training. And they really should put a stop to this ridiculous couponers wanting rain checks on the LAST day of a sale and the ones with their binders taking forever at checkout. We all know you don't need the six containers of air freshener. Just stop it. read more

Two stars are given only because of the pharmacy. Grocery store is great. Customer Service otherwise is excellent! As far as the pharmacy goes, the last four prescriptions I have picked up have not been ready despite seven or eight hours between call in and attempt at pick up time. Standard answer is, give us five or 10 minutes... it's almost ready. read more

Cakes are the best in town prices are high but sometimes there are deals. But I'm a little mad at management. There was a homeless lady that used to sit at the bench never begged for anything she is very nice I talked to her she is 70 yrs old. She isnt making me write this but I feel it is upon me to stand up. I was there listening the day management a young brown haired girl told her to leave or they would call the police. She cried. I was behind the propane tanks. Since publix is all about donations and giving back to the community I'm a little disturbed management did this because publix supports charities and gives back to the community. So I understand lottering is an offence. It is if you beg. This lady never once begged me for anything I'm actually offended a company that does charities for this cause would tell her she cant sit somewhere where I feel is safe for her, for her age. If I do come back to shop here I am going to ask management themselves why. I didn't see anything wrong with it. She is 70 yrs old. Yall always give safety pamphlets out. Yall should know it is a dangerous place to just be out and about. I'm not asking for her I'm asking for myself and telling others as I deff wont support any charities this company supports now. I've done my research on lottering it is defined as begging. She wasn't bothering me sitting there it was bothering management. Dont get mad at her for it. I am writing this because I believe in helping people who cant help themselves. I feel very sorry this company has done this. read more

We love Publix .... food shopping is the only kind of shopping my hubby wants to do!! Publix is clean and very organized! The employees are always friendly and helpful. The two-fers are a big plus!! I also use their pharmacy. Most of the pharmacy workers are friendly.... love that the pharmacy has a drive-thru (which most pharmacys do.) Keep up the good work Publix! read more

you have to watch their dates on ice cream, dairy and cheese. the ice cream has freezer burn constantly - on all brands. on several occasions the dairy is past the date as well. read more
