I've always been a huge fan of Walmart in the past. We moved to Forest Grove over a year ago and this Walmart is the worst one I have ever been to. Start out by walking in the door. There is a large screen there showing the time / weather. The time is always off by 2 hours. All other Walmart stores that I have been to have this correct. (Yes, it's a minor thing, but it just sets the stage. If they can't get the clock right, what can they do right. Always makes me think of going to my parents house and the VCR always flashing 12:00.) We have waited around for over an hour to pick up pictures that we uploaded from the website. Nobody was working the department and nobody knew anything. We saw the pictures in the machine, so finally we just grabbed the pictures, told someone what we did so we could pay and then walked out. The lines at the cashier are always at least 5 people long. Normal wait in line is around 20 minutes. I was going to get my fishing license so I went back to the sporting goods department. Nobody was there. (Big surprise.) There was a phone there labeled to use for help. I picked up the phone and they said that someone would be right there. I waited 20 minutes without anyone showing up. I called again and it just rang and rang. Kept calling over and over again. I finally just gave up after waiting for 45 minutes. On the way out the door, I passed an employee. I told her what had happened. She took me back and helped me out. This proves that there are good people here, just not enough of them. (This is also the reason I bumped my review to 2 stars) I never shop here on a normal basis. Safeway and Freddy's are just down the road. Yes, they are slightly more expensive, but even that isn't the case as much these days. However, I just don't want to spend all day at Walmart to buy groceries or whatever I need. Overall, I still go to other Walmart stores when I travel and I have never seen one as bad as ours. If I was a district manager for the area, I would truly be embarrassed by this one. read more

Huge store, pretty decent prices, not enough checkers. I've been a couple of times, and tried the 20 or less line. People please read the sign, a cart full of items is not 20. And I think the put the slowest checker in that lane too. If I have something specific, and I did, then I'll make the trip out, otherwise, I'm not close enough to put up with the hassle factor. read more

This is my favorite Walmart in the area. Feels like a "real" supercenter that compares to the rest of the US not Portland sized Walmart's.

Well...it's Wal-Mart. This store is better than the store over on 82nd, that's for damn sure. But its quite a ways out in BFE. I've only been here a couple of times, when I am in need a "cheap" stuff. My friend and I like to come late at night and people watch while doing our shopping. It's actually like a monthly event now. HAHA. But yeah, the store is clean, good selection of produce and other food. Hella Mexican candy if you're into that. The employees are not that friendly and the last time we were there, it smelt like someone threw a bunch of stink bombs around the store. It smelt SO bad!!! We had the giggles the whole time because of it. The parking lot is also huge, similar to a Costco lot without all the traffic. read more

I got an exam at the vision center and got double charged on my debit card. They still as of yet have not reversed the money after three days and they aren't apologetic about it. Spoke with store PIC on the phone. Wasn't even getting loud, but she said I was and she threatened to hang up. Then she finished the call with the sarcastic have a nice day. I ran into Wal-Mart in Cornelius to grab something really fast for my mom. Had to leave in a hurry, although in the brief couple minutes I was in the store I noticed an elderly woman being helped by and employee Cindy(didn't catch her last name). The elderly woman was alone and having a hard time reaching the shelves for items, so Cindy offered to follow her around and help her get everything she needed. Cindy was very patient and kind to the woman. The woman also kept apologizing for inconveniencing her, but Cindy was kind and said it was no problem at all. Cindy made my day today as my day has been kind of crazy. And I wanted to recognize her, as I could not find how to do so online or the Wal-Mart site. Hoping this gets to someone higher up! I had purchased a printer from Walmart.com. Unfortunately it was defective right out of the box. Since I live in Beaverton, there isn't a Walmart close by. Cornelius was the closest one. (a 40 minute drive) I was met at the door by a friendly woman who directed me to customer service when she saw that I had a return. Customer service was a short wait and the gentleman I spoke to was very helpful and nice. He directed me back to electronics to find the printer I wanted. I found my way there and was greeted by a nearly empty shelf of printers to choose from. :( Seriously? There was a grand total of 5!! 3 of those were a brand that is notoriously cheap and useless. Luckily I found a brand I could live with. The exchange at customer service went smoothly and I decided to shop for a few other things. Unfortunately I found the rest of the store much like the shelf of printers........almost empty. (maybe they were due for their shipment soon?) Overall I found this store messy and unorganized. Not impressed. I do give kudos to the staff here however........ from the greeter, the people in customer service, and my cashier were all very nice. Not something you usually hear! Good for low prices, but they try to constantly sell expired food. Yogurt is one of the of the worst I was hunt in yesterday and almost all of the Greek yogurt had a expiration date of 04/04/2017. Well Walmart I gave you another chance and you fucked me again.. Hi my name is Chelsea Steuwer. I usually don't write to companies but I felt I really needed to when it came to my local walmart in Cornelius, Oregon. I ordered 1 hour photos yesterday around 8pm for Christmas on 12/22/2015. The photos were supposed to be done by today 12/23- when I went into the store around 1pm to pick them up they were not ready. They said they would express the order and it would take 10minutes, so I went shopping for a bit. When I came back 15min. later they handed me my photos but asked me to pay.. I was confused because I thought I paid for them already online. They said no I didn't, so I proceeded for the 2nd time to pay again. When I went to my car I opened up the package and these were not my photos.. I had given him my name and everything how could he get this wrong? I had to go back in the store and correct the situation. He said I must be the wrong "Hutchinson" the last name he repeated back to me.. I said no... my last name is Steuwer. He apologized and said it would be another 15minutes and that I could get my refund at the counter for the ladies pictures I had paid for. So I went to the counter and the lady didn't know how to put the money back on my credit card so she called a manager to over ride to give me cash... I waited even longer... I finally went back over to collect my photos as I was running late for work at this point and the guy told me it looks like my photos got sent to the bottom of the list and in the meantime other people's photos were printing instead.. I was like are you kidding me??!! I was waiting over an hour and half at this point! I ended up walking out of the store and saying he needed to figure it out so I could pick them up after work then I mean I had already paid for them. He said he would email a manager to let them know I could pick them up after work at 11pm since the customer service side would be closed. Honestly I want a refund or something done about this. It's not right! 1 hour guarantee and I have waited almost 3 days now! I can't stand ever going back to this store I have nothing but problems every time I go there! I need someone to care and to fix this it would be so appreciated! read more

Bad customer service. The electronics department has no knowledge of the products they are selling, especially televisions. Also beware of the walmart credit card they say that you get 12 mths free interest and yet every month they tried to charge me it when I bought my expensive television. It was Hell calling that credit card call center!! read more

I've never been particularly thrilled with this Walmart in Cornelius Oregon. The bathrooms are dirty, they have too many displays in the aisles, they're frequently out of stock. On my last visit, our receipt was checked and our bags were searched. I find this offensive. I am not a thief. It's disrespectful to treat your customers like they are stealing. I have to say I have been to quite a few wallie worlds and this one is the best so far...very clean and bright, employees give good directions. Lots of departments, all moderately small so your not too overwhelmed, but they have the room to expand on the property, i will be filling my asthma med there and expect no less than what i experienced today. read more

This store is hands down the WORST Walmart I have ever been to. My wife shopped there Thanksgiving night so the ridiculous lines were expected. However the associates were clueless. Our checker who according to her name tag had been with Walmart quite some time, seemed befuddled on how to scan bar-codes. So this gets worse!! They started without warning towing cars that were not illegally parked, but rather improperly parked (Walmart filled dozens of parking spaces with cargo bins on their busiest shopping night of the year, makes sense NOT). people parked along side these bins out of the flow of traffic. Without the giving the customers that were spending their hard earned money in their crappy store a courtesy announcement warning of the impending tow. And yes my wife's minivan was one of the ones (8+) towed. When chatting with the store manager about this he acted like he knew nothing about this and passed us off to loss prevention who also acted surprised. they both said the same thing "there is nothing we can do". WHO the hell runs that store? So with them basically telling us F-OFF we left with out cart full of crap that we purchased any way and headed to the tow yard where we forked out $300+ to get our van back. Walmart my hats off to you for bringing Scrooge to the very beginning of the holiday season. Good job giving THANKS to those who shop your store. read more

Not that expect too much from places but wow has Customer Service gone down! Yesterday there was a power outage which meant they had to close this store temporarily which is fine, however this morning they were open. So after about 20 minutes there some guy, who didn't address himself or title, yelled from over 50 feet away at me that "(they) are having register issues from yesterdays outage and everyone needs to get out" Yes, just get out. What ever happened to "Hi Ma'am, my name is ____, I'm the ____ here at Walmart, its appears we are still having difficulties from yesterday's outage and are asking all customers to return at a later time, we apologize for the inconvenience"? Don't know who that guy was or how he got that job but someone needs some advance training. read more

Oh the dreadful feeling that one gets by having to go to Walmart in the middle of the night. Yeah, they were the only place opened that had what I needed..... Locking hitch pins, padlocks and other locks for a utility trailer. Daytime the normals come out, at night the floor is covered with items to be put away and very few normal people. I'm from San Diego, CA where Walmart's are on every freaking major street. Alas, Oregon has only a handful of Walmart's-- and they're not all super centers! =( I almost moved back home on this basis alone. I was THRILLED to find my home away from home here in my new home! (Did ya catch that?) I first visited the Walmart in Portland but since I live in Beav it was too long a drive in traffic comparable to LA just to save a couple bucks. I resigned myself to shopping at safeway (Vons for us Californians) and "Tarje" for my first few months in OR.... but then the stars aligned and the Gods found favor on me when I got a new job out in Forest Grove right across from Walmart... making this location a multiple times a week stop for me. So for all the Walmart bashers-- Just be thankful there is one out here in these sticks!! It's like the only thing in this area that lets me know this city exists. This is NOT the best location I've ever been to but I've been to worse. I must confess I have never been in this store during peak hours so I can't speak on the lines! I come in after 9:30pm and typically before 830am only. I've seen it completely empty with cashiers standing around fighting for you to come to their line b/c they're bored, and I've seen it with 2 long lines well into the clothing racks. But it's Walmart!! I've come to expect that. I'll never understand why they bother to build 20 check stands and only ever open a max of 3 but that's just one of life's unsolved mysteries. What I love about this place is the people who work there-- some of them are just a breath of fresh air! I am accustomed to Walmart employees who have the "this is not my department" attitude so the level of courtesy at this store amazes me. I go in often enough that I am pretty known to a few regular employees who work late night or early morning and I love being greeted with a smile and engaged in conversation, it's like visiting neighbors!! The greeter during the week is always a friendly face and the cashier, Caleb, is a doll! There's a manager who works mornings I think his name is Ken, he always goes out of his way for me, instead of saying the fitting room isn't open yet he will actually crawl on the floor underneath the door to let me into one. What a champ! There's one older cashier who loves to talk up a storm but I honestly try and avoid her because she will make a simple 2 minute check out take 10 as she tells you what she likes and doesn't like from your entire cart.Granted there a few people there who just go through the motions and get the job done but I've yet to want to bring my ghetto out on one of the employees here like I have needed to do routinely in other walmart locations. I recently used their site to store option after black friday shopping online (I would NEVER do it in store.) and since 2 of my favorite people were working that department it was a good experience however for other customers it probably wouldn't have been since it took about 15-20 minutes for them to find my items despite the tracking number, order number and the text I got saying they had arrived days ago. The hours the site to store email and website says are also wrong! They are open from 8am-9pm not 10am-10pm. Of course I came in at 9:40pm but the employees who knew me took the time to find my items even though it was after hours and no one was working that department-- I'm doubtful they do that for everybody since the first girl who I asked was quick to tell me I would need to return tomorrow. Prices are what you expect from walmart. I never bother trying to ad match I still think that's stupid-- if your computer knows its cheaper somewhere else why not just charge that instead of making me challenge you? I feel like its a game of "Bull shit". So there are still some grocery items I rather get up the street at Winco.... Yes I cheat with Winco every now & then but my heart still belongs to Wally. Night time stocking I will NEVER understand. They changed from being open 24 hours to close at 1am... why then do you need to fill the aisles with boxes and crates and pallets starting at 9? Has no one ever tripped or been bumped into here??? I see a lawsuit in the near future for Walmart. Speaking of stocking... this Walmart seems to have select days where they get shipments and you can find everything you need... come back a week later and it looks like they got robbed. Empty shelves, crunched up cans, dented boxes-- especially in the grocery department. The produce dept in the worst culprit. I don't think that dept managers knows how to do inventory on things that go bad in a week-- you should have a new shipment once or twice a week!! I watched a kid stock salad in a bag with the new inventory in FRONT of the old supply that had a use by date of tomorrow. These are the cons that keep me from giving this Walmart 5 stars. read more

Horrible workers in delivery and pick up -- very rude and have no idea what they are talking about. Deli place beef was bleeding and when I picked it up it bled on my hand. Gross!!! I like this Walmart. The staff on the floor is pretty friendly and helpful. The cashiers however, are hit or miss. Sometimes you get a super friendly one, sometimes you get a super pissed off one. The customers though, are the most. I've heard many customers yell and argue with more cashiers than I care to remember. I have used this store for returns, shopping and site to store pick up and 90% of the time I have had issues with customer service. The employees in the service department generally have no sense of urgency, no customer service skills and care more about chatting with other employees than attending to customers. I waited for over ten minutes to make a return. There were four employees trying to complete the return and only one woman explained the issue and appologized. I also watched while other customers were ignored while an employee worked on a side project. PLEASE TRAIN YOUR EMPLOYEES OR HIRE PEOPLE WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE. The store seems pretty clean but is often under stocked. Walmart can do better. read more

I didn't even make it into this location because the customer service was effing terrible !!!! Waited on hold for 20+ min to find out about items they had listed on line but this is the EXACT reason I call before making a drive somewhere further to get a certain item, only to find out the little teenager chick running the sporting goods department had me on hold for no reason just for me to have to call back to be told oh, idk why we had you on hold that long because I'm right by the department and went to the isle to look and there was no fans left only heaters.... LIKE COOL GLAD I SAT ON HOLD FOR THAT EFFING LONG FOR NOTHING. Also stated to the employee that they need to find a way to req an update of products that stated are available in store because again, said it was available in store when I checked online and when I called they didn't have what I was lookin for... ODD????? I hate people who work in a job like this and just say sorry we don't have it just so they don't have to deal with it or actually do their job and go walk down to the isle to check on the item requested, and also the garbage attitude of yeah I'll have to let my supervisor know then hang up on me . Dealing with customers service here is frustrated. They don't know how to do their jobs. Walmart should pay more money for their employees so they can find better employees. The only reason this store still has customers is because it's cheap sometimes and there is no other stores close by . Well, the bathrooms are still pretty cool. Prices decent on groceries, and crafts are well priced. But the lines....OH THE LINES!! It is not uncommon to wait 10, 15, 20 minutes in lines to check out. It is complete chaos! Some of the cashiers are sooooo, stinkin sloooooooowwwwww! I mean, a 5 year old could check me out faster. Seriously. I was there on the first day it opened, curious to see what they have. I'm glad I was there, because with the type of customer it attracts, it's going to go downhill very quickly. I have been there several times in the months after, and this is the new place for people to go and let their kids run around screaming and pulling things off the racks. I don't fault Wal-Mart for this, I'm just saying the type of people who go here seem to have no consideration for anyone else, and therefore don't keep their kids under control. So whenever you go there, count on seeing shelves that look like it was hit with a bomb; clothes pulled off and crammed back in out of order, or just left lying on the floor. Speaking of clothes, their selection of clothes is very limited. Every time I go there I look at men's shirts, and they only have a few choices. Basically this store has a little of everything, but a large selection of nothing. Same goes for their groceries. Still, I don't pray for this Wal-Mart to go away. The reason why is simple. I will continue to shop at the Fred Meyer up the road, which is now busy, but thankfully has far fewer of the type of customers I just mentioned; low-class inconsiderate louts waddling into the store with a herd of screaming kids behind them. Let those types of people go to Wal-Mart. The atmosphere at Freddy's has improved noticably since Wal-Mart opened, and they have a much better selection of clothes. read more

Worst experience of my life in retail customer service! I had a cart full of goods my mom and I just purchased for my sons dorm room. Since I had spent slightly over my budget already I went to customer service to put a sale printer for my son (only one left) on layaway. The printer was on sale for $49.00, I was putting $20 down on it and would pay it off in 1 week. I was told very rudely that the minimum for layaway was $50 but if I purchased the 2 year service plan it would then qualify. I told the Walmart employees (there were two helping me) that I could buy a new printer in a year that would be less expensive than the service contract. They repeated that the item did not qualify. I said, can you price adjust it, increasing the cost by $1? I was happy to pay the increased price and would pay $21 on that exact day. I reminded them I had just spent well over. $100 that day and asked to speak to a manager. One of the employees once again rudely stated that they would not help me and that she in-fact was a manager. I walked away puzzled why they would not only refuse an opportunity to sell a $49 printer for $1 over cost (or make a $1 exception) when expensive printer ribbon would also be purchased; not to mention treating a good customer with a cart full of recently purchased goods, so rudely. Was the $1 worth loosing a good customer? What happened to the days where the customer comes first? I'm still scratching my head over this. I'll never shop at Walmart, Cornelius again. read more

Customer service is a complete joke. Especially in the photo department where they have no clue as to what they're doing.

I dislike going to Walmart so please understand my bias against this franchise. To explain my rating of this particular Walmart, however, my experience with the customer service, or lack there of, at this location is mind blowing. The only staff members I can ever find are located at the checkout. If I ask the stock clerks for help they try to find someone else to help me which then continues the search that I was already on. When trying to pick something up that was purchased online it has taken forever to get some to notice that you are waiting at the counter. Also just a tip, remember to pay attention to signs because customer service is not the same location for online pick up. Customer service might see you waiting by the pick up counter but they will not notify anyone to come and attend to you. There is no bell to ring either. I don't know if this got someone over to help me but I started playing with the credit card swiper because is said touch for help. There were staff members walking all around the area but no one said anything to me. There was one lady working customer service and while there was a fairly good sized line no one was trying to assist her either. The whole place is very frustrating when it comes to finding help with anything. read more

Worst Wal-Mart ever! They have the worst customer service! They won't even tell you there name when you call in or get directed to a department. When wanting to enquire more about the product I ordered they said they cant tell me anything. I continued to asked for a GENERAL manager and all i got was a Assistant manager who proceeded to tell me that there was nothing they could do. Not even trying to help or compensate the fact that i have been calling over 10 times in 30 minutes to only get hung up on or be spoke to like i was beneath them! YOU WORK AT WALMART! I as a 26 year old man with kids. (3 and 4 years of age) understand when kids "need to go" they need to go i say this because the cleaners everytime i come here need to close the bathroom I just so happened to be at example getting hot pockets and your daughter has to go ASAP and they close both womans rooms and have to take them in the indoor subway or showing your son dvds he wants and has to go and they are cleaning the urnals AND TOILETS and cant take them into the womans room and GET TOLD TO WALK BY EMPLOYEES FOR MY KIDS NEEDS and i tell them "he needs to go to the bathroom" they respond theres one where you were ITS F****** Being cleaned they say sucks to be you and roll their eyes. I tell my little champ just hold it for a few its done being cleaned it is still riddled with straws,a self pleasure product,an earring,wrappers,cups,one time bodily fluids,and other trash so i wait 15 minutes of looking at random stuff while my kid needs to go pee badly and come back to a bathroom worse than it originaly was. And the photos oh boy the photos they dont give a hoot about you,your photos or your time i waited half an hour for the wrong pictures i return them ask them where mine are with power and employees in the back call me and im not joking an overly entitled a**hole for asking for my photos please at all costs dont come here read more
