What an unpleasant shopping experience. I normally don't leave negative reviews, but this experience was disappointing enough that I felt compelled to share it. I needed some information about an item and approached the employee working in that department. For nearly every question I asked, the response was simply, "I don't know." After hearing that repeatedly, I decided to take a chance and proceed with my purchase anyway. As I was heading to pay, I needed assistance with another item that was kept in a locked display case. When I asked for help, the same employee seemed annoyed and complained about being delayed from going home, making me feel as though I was inconveniencing them simply by asking for assistance. As a customer, that was very uncomfortable and unprofessional. Unfortunately, this experience reinforced why I generally avoid shopping at Walmart. It often feels like no one takes ownership of helping customers or solving problems. I understand retail employees work hard and deal with many challenges, but basic customer service and a willingness to assist should still be expected. Walmart's corporate leadership should take a closer look at employee training, support, and customer service standards. It was delicious, silky, velvety, crunchy and flavorful pistachio paste and kadayif. It was good overall, but it was a little sweet so I would prefer if it came in dark chocolate. I feel like there's a well known stereotype that Walmart workers are just grumpy rude people. I typically don't believe in that as I've had plenty of good experiences at Walmarts. Today in particular did bother me though. I feel like it's a fairly new thing that Walmart offers digital receipts instead of physical ones (maybe it's new or maybe I don't go to Walmart enough). Anyway I wasn't sure if I had to pull the digital receipt up for the lady by the exit to check. So I asked. She said It was fine and I assumed she was being nice because she saw my hands were full. As I proceeded to walk away after thanking her she said "but you're supposed to" under her breath with clear attitude. Honestly the only reason this bothered me is because she could've just told me yes and I would've pulled it out or she could've just held her breath and been annoyed to herself. There's no reason to be rude when you're upset with yourself for not complying to the rules. Especially after I asked. Other than that. Terrific customer service here!! As soon as I walked in I immediately was greeted by asset protection who I asked where pick up for orders are. Instead of telling me where to go she walked me all the way there which I really appreciated since my sense of direction isn't really good. The service Technician was unable to install the tires that were purchased from Walmart with the added installation service to my purchase. Ordered a ~$1700 PC off of Walmart.com recently and did curb side pick up at this store. I go home to open it up only find that what they gave me was an $800 PC instead. I initiated a return on the app, which told me to return it in-store. I go to the service desk to return it and showed them the order bar code. They said because the value of the PC is less than the one I ordered they can't take it and that I would need to call 1800walmart to return it. I get home and the phone rep said to go back and show them the return bar code. Okay, fine. I head back to this store doing what I was instructed and they said again that they can't take returns for lesser valued products. Feeling pretty frustrated by now, I call 1800walmart once more and finally was able to get someone to help me initiate a refund/return! My first time visiting this Walmart Location. The parking lot was crowded, and the store was busy. This is a Supercenter so they are very large stores. I was looking for car care items. The store was clean and the shelves were well stocked & organized. They have a very good selection of supplies for car washing. I picked some microfiber towels and some finishing towels. I also got bug remover, and ceramic car washing soap. I used the self-check to pay for my stuff which was quick and easy. And the person over-seeing the area was friendly and thanked me and smiled as I left. I needed to use the restroom before I left and found it to be clean and fully operational. For many years I've heard people hate on Walmart and I honestly don't get it. I've been to multiple stores in Rancho Cucamonga, Valencia, Chino, Upland & Pomona. They have what I need more than not. The stores are clean, safe & well lit. Employees are cool. Maybe the only downside for me has been the sometimes shoddy shopping carts. But Target is the same way. I do think timing is everything so I tend to not shop there on weekends so there's that. The customers in Chino are mostly Asian but so what. I've had no issues in 5 years with anything. This is probably the biggest Walmart I've been to and it was well stocked compared to other locations - or maybe the supply chain is improving. (4:00) That was no problem and once I checked in on the app, the brought my groceries out within five minutes. Sometimes I have waited as long as 20 minutes for my groceries here. When I do visit Walmart, I try to go when the crowds don't show such as off rush hours if that makes any sense?! I basically just take off a star for again the insanely long lines at every branch. I went to the Walmart located at 3943 Grand Ave Chino, CA 91710 to cash a scholarship check on 11/30/2025 at around 10 AM. I went to the money services center and there was no one at the counter. I sent my son to tell a cashier that we needed help. They then sent in employee identified as Vanessa "Team Lead" per her employee badge. As she arrived I placed my check on the top counter which I HAD SIGNED INSIDE THE STORE AT THE WALMART MONEY CENTER COUNTER and then began to get my ID to hand to her. She grabbed my check turned it around and said she could not cash the check due it being previously signed. I informed her that she was incorrect and asked her to please check her cameras because I signed the check in store at the Walmart money center counter. She refused services to me or to attempt to help me or look at the cameras she just kept repeating her policy, which was in fact not broken. I asked to speak to a manager she called a man identified as Jesse "Coach" per his employee badge. I explained the situation to him and as I explained she Vanessa yelled over "I didn't see her sign the check" which I agreed okay she might not have seen it but that does not make it true. I asked him to please check the cameras because I in fact signed the check here at the counter inside of Walmart right at she stepped to the counter. I had been waiting to be helped there was NO ONE at the counter when I arrived. So, Jesse refused to assist me and told me "I'm not going to check the cameras and it's policy you signed the check and we are not going to cash it". He refused to mitigate or help in the situation. I asked for his manager's information and asked him to please identify his name and title and to also write her name and title which he began being rude saying to me " you don't need her information I gave you the store manager's name and my name you don't need any other information and we are not going to help you" he was very rude. I still got her information by looking at her badge after she completed her transaction with the customers in line. This is unacceptable service. There was no policy broken nor did anyone take the time to listen to my concern. I was just rudely dismissed and refused service for an incorrect employee mistake. read more
