This just might be one of the worst Walmarts I've been to. This is the one I normally come to, as it's the closest one to me. Every single time I've been here, I've NEVER been able to park in the front. I always have to park underground in the parking deck. Sure, not a huge problem, but it is quite frustrating sometimes, especially because the escalator is broken almost all the tine. There are barely any parking spots in the front. The staff here aren't the friendliest. The self-checkouts are always very minimally open, the store is a mess, and it's just a nightmare sometimes trying to get in and out. The curbside pickup is a joke. I'm on round 13 of trying it and every time they screw up. I've called 1-800-Walmart each time. They try and help but, the real problem is the store manager. The fish rots from the head and he is running the show! His picture is on the wall in customer service without his name beneath the photo. The interior of the store is always messy. I've never seen a store so poorly run. I do not feel safe when I'm in the store so, pick-up is great for me. By the time I place my order on line, drive 5 miles to pick up, arrive back home to call the 800 # to complain, the convenience is not worth it. I guess I'm going to have to just drive over and shop in the store. How does the management team get to keep their jobs? I'll finish with this; I have been shopping with Walmart since 1987. The Chamblee GA location is the worst of the worst. A joke! They love to say "call 1-800 Walmart" if it's more than they can handle. Both elevators to lower parking deck shut down, in operable. The new grocery carts DO NOT fit in the cart escalator. I had no way of getting my groceries to car. When I contacted the front end manager, she could not help me, she would call maintenance, which isn't on site. She walk off, extremely rude and unprofessional since I'm 71 and partially handicapped. Least they could do is send someone to help me. Finally paid one of the homeless panhandlers out front to help me. Yes there are panhandlers, they don't seem to mind even with Chamblee police parked right out front. There are shirtless men in store walking around with pants hanging down and underwear sticking out. No one wants to see that. read more

I was surprised by all the bad reviews. This place is not spectacular but it is not bad either. There are a Kroger and Whole Foods nearby so maybe this place is just bad by comparison. You cannot see this Walmart from the main street. It is in the back of a strip mall or something. There is limited parking up top. The Walmart sits on top of a parking garage and you can park underground and take the escalator up. There is plenty of parking below and this design is extremely helpful when it is raining outside. This Walmart is extremely clean and there are very short lines. Majority of the lines are self check out. This location is not built for you to buy a week's worth of groceries. They probably have 40 self check out stations and 3 cashier lanes. Some of the carts are bad but there are plenty of good ones. I always find what I am looking for. I don't usually leave reviews but at this point it's like they aren't even trying. Specifically grocery pickup. Last order- was delayed 5-6 hours.. ok, inconvenient but sh*t Happens.. finally says it's ready, get there & wait 45 min. Only one other car there besides me, the other one finally gave up & left. They're Not answering the phone, I look inside & see all the groceries piled up by the door but no one in sight. It's 9:30pm, school night & got kids at home to get to bed. So finally I just go inside to find out if they're even coming or should I just cancel order?? Wait forever to get a person & a response but they say it's coming. have to walk all the way around the whole store to get back to pickup side bc that door doesn't open...only to find out they cancelled my order bc I "wasn't out there??!!!" ‍ I was literally inside talking to THEM, told them who's I was etc... hours of waiting & went home to hungry kids with no groceries, nothing.. Gave them one last try this week (disabled single mom, do actually need this service.) and they put canned goods on top of 2 cartons of EGGS, crushing them... spilling them all over my floorboard. Wish I got pics. then get home to find out 2 other items weren't even in my bags at all which I was charged for. At least the refund process is fairly straightforward, but come on, you have one job smh. In-person shopping is mostly a chaotic madhouse here- I wish the Decatur Walmart was closer, it's actually a really nice store, especially for a Walmart. But an hour round trip is just not worth it. Honestly At this point it's not even worth trying to save money shopping at Walmart period when there's so many grocery stores nearby that are actually a pleasure to shop at, with better variety & quality. Not much to say. Unlike most people I have no shame saying I shop at Wal Mart! This store is generally clean, and organization of items and presentation has gotten ALOT better. My main issues is the Pick-Up when ordering on the app. I've been using the app since last year and love the convenience of it, however this particular Wal Mart continues to slip, trip and fall! Every time I schedule a pickup its delayed. Be mindful of that! If you order, give yourself about a 2 hour window, as they will delay the pick-up and have you waiting upon arrival again, to actually pick- up your items. Aside from that, that's really it. The pick-up process is currently trash as it's always delayed, then you wait 30 min-1hr to actually get your items. Wal Mart Chamblee need to FIGURE OUT the COVERAGE you need and the SCHEDULE of arrivals. read more

The workers are ok. Im just confused as to how does a business have so many customers but so little cashiers.

I try to stay out of this store. I've had bad luck at this store through the years, like fraud on my debit card, twice, both times after using my debit card at the self checkout registers; slow employees at the registers; employees who had no knowledge which department and item was in; items being rung up at incorrect prices at the register; escalators going to and from the underground parking lot not working; and employees "randomly" having customers who made purchases show them their receipt and the items in their bags. I come here only if I'm in the area and really need to find something, or if the Walmart closest to me is out of something that I need. The customer service is overall bad here. Yes, you may find an employee who cares about their job and does it correctly, but that, in my experiences at this store, is not the norm. Most recently, I've come here for dog food, deodorant and over-the-counter medicine. The parking lot on the ground floor is almost always full because there are many small businesses that share the parking lot, but there is a huge underground parking lot that always has available parking spaces. I don't really care for this store, and would rather go to a different Walmart. I'm glad the one in Dunwoody is a lot closer to where I live. read more

Not sure why this Walmart has gotten so much hate, but my fiancé and I personally had a great experience here at the end of last month. It was so clean and the aisles were super spacious, unlike the Norcross and Duluth locations which always feel very crowded. There weren't even many people shopping here compared to the other two locations I mentioned. Everything seemed to be well-stocked. I picked up some household items, dessert, a spare mask, and my fiancé found some good work pants here. There's a pretty good selection of clothes here, if you don't mind buying from Walmart like me - lots of good cheap essentials to add to your wardrobe. I can't think of one bad thing to say about this location. There's a Subway inside like the other Walmarts in the area. There's a Five Guys and American Deli outside and some other shops. This location even has an elevator to access a lower parking deck that I hear can be found if you drive around back. All in all, we really like this location and intend on coming back soon. read more

CHAMBLEE GA WALMART ROBBED ME First let me start off by saying not everyone in this place is bad. I don't typically write reviews but whoever's the young lady who's over security treated me like I was the biggest scam artist in the world. 2 hours before coming back to the store I purchased what I thought was a 50" Phillips smart tv to my surprise when I opened it it was a whole different brand inside (ONN) I came back to the store let them know what happened some man viewed the box said that's original taping on the box I responded ok well this is what came out of the box though. So now I'm standing around just waiting on a new tv I could've cared less about what I spent on it I just moved I just want what I paid for. A couple of workers are like if you worked here what would you think (which I could understand) and it sounded like they've had issues before with past customers but I'm not one of them I'm not a thief I'm not money hungry I just moved and would've loved to have my children's room fully prepared for them. Whoever's the head of security ended up coming to customer service I told her the story she immediately said we not taking the tv back I'm like huh I brought it from here I don't steal I just want what I paid for she took my receipt left for about 20mins came back and said yeah sir have a nice day we aren't taking that tv here. I kept my composure because I know thee assumption was that I am trying to scam but I was the victim and the way she started treating me while all I'm asking is basically so what am I suppose to do do I now just take a $300 lose i can't fathom how low people can make you feel when I did nothing wrong besides return something that shouldn't have been sold to me in the first place. Despite the many negative reviews, I've had pretty decent visits to this particular Walmart location. I usually come in prepared knowing what I want to purchase, which prevents me from having to search for an associate to help. Usually an associate is hard to find, and if you do find one, they are sort of reluctant to help. Like MOST Wally World's, the lines are LOOOONG. It's not really all of the associates fault, granted hey should have more cashiers, but a lot of LARGE families shop at this location. So, shopping carts are packed full of merchandise to be scanned. Expect to wait a bit. Parking on the main level outside is a ZOO. Everyone drives up and down constantly to find parking here since it's so convenient to the entrance. They do offer a parking deck below this level, but it can be kind of sketchy. Overall, this place is okay. Just try to walk in with a plan/list and move efficiently. read more

So I generally don't have any issue with Walmart overall. But I guess you get what you expect. I don't expect it to be pristine or glamorous or anything like that. But a lot of times you're going to get it on the wrong day and that's going to be your perception of it. This can happen more often than not, and that's what happens at Walmart when I go to this one. I have to do some cooking later tonight so I need to make a quick stop. I got there in the afternoon and there was stuff everywhere. A lot of times you may see people doing stocking on the night end of the day or in the very early morning. But why would you stop in the middle of the afternoon when people are buying food to make dinner? I do not quite understand that, but I know it's just the timing of it all but that doesn't make a lot of sense. This is not the first time this has happened at this establishment. I know they have to do the stocking, but I feel like you are trying to make sure your customers don't have to walk over plastic boxes and bags and carts full of things, you should change the timing of it so that that's not an issue. read more

Just bought a Nespresso machine and pods with my partner, got it home, opened it, and it was an old rice cooker and a speaker. We sped back as quickly as possible from Buckhead and was encountered by Darnell who showed absolutely NO concern for anything we had to say. Upon explaining to us that the customer service department was closed, he walked off in the middle of us speaking to him. NO concern for the fact that we not only wasted our time, gas, and money, but was blatantly disrespectful on top of the entire debacle. The irony of the entire situation was that simultaneously another patron's request for a gift card was being fulfilled at the VERY register we were told was closed for the night. The ONLY reason we even patronized this establishment was because we were purchasing a reputable brand, Nespresso after leaving Target who was charging $30 more for the same product. For the environment, decorum, customer service, and overall experience, that $30 is well worth it. Never shopping here again. He treated my partner and I like he personally disliked us. Not sure if he has anything against the LGBTQ community, but the disrespect was infuriating. read more

CUSTOMER SERVICE COUNTER: 8 PM, although there were workers working in front of the customer service counter, I still had to wait five minutes before being greeted by an unhappy cashier. She wasn't friendly but she definitely did her job quickly once she helped me. HOME and PHARMACY ENTRANCE: 8:45 PM, this entrance was locked. During usual hours before covid, they shut that entrance at 11 P. Not sure what the new closing time for that entrance is, it would be good to know the updated time when that entrance stops working. read more

I don't really enjoy going to Walmart in general but it is the most affordable place to buy groceries. This location in particular is a little unsafe at night but fine during the day. I do like the fact that they have additional parking below and have the escalators for your carts. But most of the time, it doesn't work so you have to use the elevators instead and waiting for one takes longer. Customer service is pretty terrible and you have to wait a while to get assistance. I feel like there are absolutely no cashiers at this location. They recently switched to self checkout which is a slight improvement and useful for those who prefer to checkout themselves. read more

If 0 star were an option. I live across the street and I rather drive to Publix than shop for groceries here. My bf and I found moldy bread on the shelves. We shared the feedback with the staff and they offered no apology just a shrug. The lines are always very long and everyone has an attitude. In particular there's the front greeter (older woman, 5'5 , plus size short grey hair) that yelled at me about having my ESA with me. I asked if dogs weren't allowed in the store ( I would just go to the car and let me bf shop). She said they are but I couldn't place her in the buggy. I would like to add we had no buggy and you must walk pass the buggies to reach the area where the greeter is stationed. I returned bad food here before. If I could give this store zero I would. I have been trying to call the Chamblee Supercenter for 2 days & no one answers the phone in any department. It rings for 5 minutes then hangs up. I called Walmart Corporation customer service #800-925-6278 & spoke with Maria. She said she couldn't do anything about it but talk to the manager of the store & hopefully someone would pick up next time I call. So...basically she is doing nothing to help me either. She said she could not get anyone to call me. So, why does Walmart Corp have a customer service number if they cannot help you. I am quite certain that this is the absolute worst Walmart in the entire Atlanta area. They canceled my Delivery order and said that they attempted to deliver it, which was a complete fabrication because they had not. Furthermore, I had to spend over an hour on the phone trying to figure out what the problem was. Only to find out I was not gonna get any resolution of any kind of satisfaction from them. I ordered two portable basketball hoops for curbside pickup. I received notice that the shipment was ready for pickup and paid to have a couple of guys go pick it up for me. When they got there, they were told that the packages were too high up and my guys needed to come back later when some more people were available. I called pickup and spoke to Tony who explained what happened and i told him that i would like to speak to a manager since i was out of pocket and to express my feedback about being told the package was ready when it was not. Tony said he would explain to Marshal the store manager but never heard back. Called back next day and Tony said Marshal was not there but would have his supervisor call. Nobody called. I then get a notice that I cancelled the order which i did not do. I had two more days to pickup the items per the original notice to pickup. I tried to go back to redo the order but only one was showing available. They obviously sold one of the goals they were supposedly holding for me. Have no issue that the system probably let them down when saying it was ready when it was not .. fault them for never trying even a little bit to make it right. read more

I don't know how to get the upper abs at Walmart to notice these things. I guess personally I wouldn't Considering doing the pandemic alone they made record numbers in business. However for those of you who like to frequent this establishment, this is my neighborhood Walmart. Walmart has great things that we love and other things that we just don't want to deal with. That's another topic. On the past three occasions that I've been there, mostly due to the pandemic and I understand that a lot of people are on hard times. However, I have been solicit it for money while shopping or even simply entering the store. I pray for you if you were stuck parking somewhere near spots near the exit or entrance is to lower level. Be leery of someone who doesn't necessarily belong in the tampon aisle lingering trying to size you up if you're going to say yes or no. While browsing the wireless bras because you're not going anywhere do you need a wire bra you see a woman with a car with very little and I approaching you to ask you a question, "excuse me, excuse me ma'am"..... it makes me uncomfortable. 80% of the time I am alone shopping. It simply makes me uncomfortable. I realize that they do this because they are successful at it however, I think it's inappropriate and distracting and I probably won't be coming to this Walmart until they fix it read more

This Walmart saved the day for me, it was two male workers! All of my other negative experiences this week were with women-all men and women were black and so am I. So after going to the Walmart on Howell Mill Rd Atlanta, GA because I was told to come back when I had went there this week, that customer service was closed, and to come back in the morning or before 3pm because that's when he said that they closed that day when I went. So I went 2 days after and a woman who worked in customer service said they were closed, I was hopeful because I saw the lights on when I went in, (at Ashbys' walmart it was dark in customer service. I had no idea that they would tell me that, so once again I asked for a manager who said the same and I told her about the other manager who had gave me a refund for an item at the Ashby Walmart and she proceeds to say that she had been turning away customers all day so she wouldn't do it for me, not that she couldn't but she wouldn't! I told her, but I'm the only one that sought you out! And I asked if everyone in customer service just happens to call out [sick] because this is the 2nd one where me and many others were told that it was closed. She said again we're closed & everyone is not trained to do it. So in the back of the store I met an "angel" who went above and beyond to help me get an item that they were out of; very friendly worked in the milk dept, I wasn't expecting that and it turned my day around, give this girl a raise! And because the store was disheveled-I didn't know that we could upload pics and many shelves were empty, though probably not their fault, I'm giving only ! So the Walmart I'm here to really review as I mentioned initially, it finally resolved my issue, no questions asked by the two black male employees and everything I went through was worth it yesterday to FINALLY get refunds for my merch! What I went through was: I went to 4 places on public transportation, one was the wrong place with cart in tow which I had to push on rocks and mud because they were constructing sidewalks and so I was so glad I didn't get too far before I realized it. This Walmart was the last stop and it began raining right before I got in, I prayed that it wouldn't until I was in-close enough, lol. I told him (male employe) I'd been through a lot with [trying to get] these refunds and that they were (customer service) different. He wanted to know how & I told him. He then tells me that they're not supposed to take back seasonal items either so I asked why did he? He said because I only had 3 items so he put me the customer first! Who knew that was possible?!! And I told him that it wasn't on the website and I'd never had a problem bringing anything back. After I got items I purchased rung up, I even went back to customer service to go ahead and return Christmas lights I'd bought on line, though after wrangling through that on the phone with customer service I was finally told I could keep them but still get a refund 24-48 hrs later. I didn't really trust that so as I said I took them to customer service, again, no problem! If I hadn't went out of my way to that Walmart, I may have been cheated out of over $25 because employees are too lazy or whatever it is to try and get customers their money back; in other words, THEIR JOB!!! So in conclusion, Walmart(s) need to get on the same page, have the managers follow through with their returns policy, particularly these women managers/leads or if it's different to update their website but when I tried to show it to the non-complying workers/manager they wouldn't even take a look or listen on the phone and they need to have managers do returns with another employee if customer service workers aren't available. read more
