First of all, wanted to say that people only review when something bad happened. Not nearly as much as when they are pleased. I wanted to say that this is the most friendly, and cleanest Walmart I've ever stepped foot in. Of course they have protocols and rules but that's every company. I've never been more pleased with cashiers more than I have here. They are very nice and helpful and are even good at small talk. Doctor called in prescription for heart medicine yesterday. We go to pick up a day later and they say it won't be filled till 2 more days but they had it in inventory. We had been without for 3 days and needed this badly. The Indian tech was rude and stood her ground we had to wait 2 more days. We called the doctor to talk to them to advise them to fill it now. She sent us to the drop off window. This lady refused to help us. We had the doctor call them again to get it filled today. They still refused to fill it. The employees were standing around talking so they weren't busy. We asked several times if it had been called in and they said no yet the doctor confirmed he called it back in to the pharmacist and the pharmacist said they would fill it now. All 3 techs were rude and not wanting to talk to us about the prescription. We will transfer all our prescriptions elsewhere. read more

Let me preface with this; in general I loathe setting foot in any Walmart store and it almost always takes every bit of patience I can muster to either deal with your typical Walmart employee or Walmartian (customer). Yesterday, as I was shopping for back to school supplies, I tried to pick up some body spray but found it locked up behind a glass door. It was $9. Do you know how hard it is to find an employee for help at a Walmart? Well, after searching for eight to ten minutes, I found two. Of course, neither of which could help unlock the glass cabinet. This location is a newer one and is really nice. Hopefully it stays that way. So clean and neat. The grocery side has some really long aisles, that was interesting to see. The arrangement is a bit different than other stores, makes for finding some things a little more difficult, but only because I'm used to how the other stores I frequent are set up, this is at no fault of theirs. My mother had an invasive surgery and we picked up her medication. Little did we know we only received 3 out of 4 medications. The most important one was the pain medication was the one missing. Our doctor called the pharmacy and the pharmacist stated that they don't fill that type of Rx but failed to tell me that important information. Now due to the lack of communication, integrity,and management my mom is in extreme pain. After the doctor spoke to the pharmacist he called in a different prescription somewhere else other than Walmart. We are very disappointed in the Anna Walmart pharmacy. read more

First time to this Walmart. Driving by on the way back to McKinney. Hoping to by two things I cant find at the Walmart's near my home. Diet Coke and Baseball cards. Not sure what's up with the Coke company not producing Diet Coke. But the baseball cards (sportscards) trend going on know is ridiculous. All of a sudden the last two months everyone and their mom got into collecting sportscards. Now you have the flippers coming in on the days the sportscards section gets stocked up and wiping out the shelves. Noticed Ebay, Amazon and other websites doubling the price. The blaster boxes that were $19.99 are now $39.99. Crazy. I'm glad I still got a couple spots where the are not in it to rip off people. Anyway the store looked clean, surprisingly the restroom was clean better than other Walmarts. A lot of employees stocking shelves, few aisles were congested with product or pallets in the way. This Walmart in Anna, Texas needs a total revamping . Very sad way to do business . The Garden Center is a total mess and 70% of the stock is not priced . Toady I purchased 6 items and at checkout two items rung up a lot higher than what was posted on the shelves . Went to customer service and the lady didn't really care to hear my story and I was expected to wait until someone could verify the prices . Couldn't deal with the negativity and I returned my whole purchase . Walmart your are now on a very strict diet with me . Delivery problem. First time ordering groceries to be delivered to my 89 year old mother. Left delivery instruction to deliver to side door and to require a signature upon delivery. The driver that arrived went to the front door which is inoperable, so my very slow moving mother had to try to intercept. That is when my mother found out that the driver could not speak any English, in addition to being unable to read English. Mother was successful in getting it across that the groceries needed to go to the side door. When presented with the device to sign, the instructions were in Spanish not English. This was a terrible first time experience with the delivery service. read more

I'm not really a fan of this companies business ethics to begin with but I came in tonight to pick up a few things as it's close to my home and when it came time to check out the only ones available were the "self checkout" lanes! I'm sorry, but if you are going to force me to check myself out then give me the margin back that you are saving by not employing one of our needy citizens to work the registers at this time of night. I completely understand having the self checkout for a quick way to get customers through the checkout process but seriously! Not even one register can be open for customers that need to shop late but don't want the added stress of having to work for Walmart also? I basically did several peoples job tonight. Customer service does not exist at Walmart in any form. I'm not sure why this is not a more widely discussed issue but seriously, put one person to work at a register. read more

Another disappointing experience at our local Walmart this afternoon... I received cash back at the self checkout and needed change from one of the $20 bills, so I went to customer service. Despite there being multiple ladies behind the counter, everyone was required to wait for the one employee who was actually working. After waiting for quite some time for my turn, I attempted to request the change I needed, but was cut off by the employee who abruptly told me that they "cain't even open the drawer" to give me change. No apology, not a care in the world. This Walmart is never appropriately stocked or staffed. The only people who are ever pleasant are the door greeters. I would love to never shop here again, but my family no longer shops at Target since they have embraced the perversions of transgender and pride nonsense. read more

Special hours were posted with a closing time of 11:00 PM at 10:43 PM we were turned away at the door, I told the woman at the door the hours posted said 11PM and I was there for 2 items I needed in the produce department which according to their website were in stock, she said no we're clearing everyone out. However as I walked back to my car people behind us pleaded with her and she let them in!!! I'm TOTALLY ANGRY! Walmart is Walmart so we all know the score. Crappy service from employees that look like they wanna end it all. However, this is the absolute WORST walmart I've ever been too (which is saying a lot) this place sucks soooo bad that I REFUSE to even pull into the parking lot (which you won't find a spot seeing is how everyone feels like I do I guess and does pick up which MUST be why they literally have 60ish parking spots all reserved for pick ups and at their busiest I've seen maybe 5 cars at a time for pick up) BUT whether or not you go in or pick up they either don't have it in stock or you'll never find it without the help of an employee because they are SOOOOO busy they can't be bothered. And DO NOT pay the extra for delivery because not only will it not come during your delivery window it won't even come 6+ hours after!!! And if you try to cancel your order they won't do it and you'll get your crap at around 8pm (even if you order it by 6am!!!) don't waste your time!!! This Walmart is so shitty and so crappy!!! Do yourself a favor and drive 50 miles if you must just to go somewhere else... read more

This location is convenient...a one stop shop. I get groceries and clothes. The variety of products in the grocer side compared to an actual grocer is astounding. The prices are so much lower too. The reason for the 4 stars is due to the service, which probably has nothing to do with this location in general, I'm sure its the same at all locations. Why have 100 checkout lines, when you're only opening the self check? It makes me crazy. The self check area its self has 8-10 lanes but with one associate. I cant make any sense of why this poor clerk has to run crazy between all the check stands because you know something is ALWAYS needed when you're checking yourself out. read more

I would actually give a 2 1/2 star vote just because the manager Danny was able to assist us. Horrible customer service! We went to into Walmart to exchange an axe we purchased last week. We had no receipt but since it's less then $50 they informed us we can exchange it. They kept our Axe and we went around Walmart to get a few things. When we were done we went back to the return area to exchange the Axe. The cashier named TAMARA was there, and the first thing she said was oohh we can't exchange this because it's old. Exactly her words. Imagine someone saying that with an attitude. Oh ya it didn't end there. After she continued to debate with us she said let me get my manager. As she walked away she yelled out "OLD and USED" is the same thing, when we tried telling her we used it once but didn't work because it's wasn't sharpened. The fact she was yelling while waking away was very unprofessional. When the manager Danny arrived, he politely explained to us that since we don't have a receipt we couldn't exchange it but was willing to do it for us just this one time. As he was speaking TAMARA continued to keep talking and both of us were going at it. She told her manager "I was just saying what you told me", so I told her it's not what you said it's how you delivered the message and the fact you continued to yell while you were walking was very unprofessional. When I asked for their name she pulled on her name tag and said it's TAMARA. So I continued and said thanks I'm going to write a review about this. She stood there and had a smirk on her face the whole time. Oh yah .. to top it all. This whole scene could have been avoided. How? They ended up running the card that we used which shows the receipt from when we purchased the axe. So, please before going on and on about not having a receipt, please check the return policy. The manager said oh I'm sorry I forgot about that program. Apparently, they had this program over a month ago. Unbelievable!! Tamara, word of advise. This Walmart has the worst store pick up service I have ever had. I have literally waited over 30 minutes multiple times to get my order and that is with no one else here. I just got here now and I was told I don't have an order. I pulled it up on my phone and showed them. It had the correct date, time and store and was still told there is no order. read more

This store and their grocery pick up service is a complete disaster. The last 4 trips there have averaged a whopping 39 minutes before my order arrived. That's an average! It has been as long as 62 minutes. I've spoken with managers and I've called the store to speak with them about this. It's not getting better at all! If you're going inside you MAY be ok to shop and find what you u need. If you're doing GROCERY PICK UP, GOOD LUCK. I would strongly advise against it or go to another location! By the way, if you're wondering if I'm just an anomaly or just disgruntled, far from it! Just stating facts with real time stats after giving this store repeated attempts to improve this service that Walmart is trying so hard to grow in their portfolio. Grocery pick up was awful. Never again. Very long wait. Argued when I called that I did not check in. I had it on my app that I did. Wrong items in my order and missing items. Someone came out and argued that they already brought two cases of water (they only brought one). She said her paperwork says they did. Told her to search my car. This brand new location takes the heat off the Mckinney Red Bud store making it more convenient for those living in Anna and its surrounding areas. Stopped by yesterday and the store is very clean, staff exceptionally friendly and plenty of checkout lanes available including the self checkout. Parking could be a problem as it seems to be pretty busy being new and all. read more

I live in McKinney and travel to Anna for their new Walmart. Was living in Van Alstyne when they were building the Walmart and definitely wish it was around then. It's always stocked very well and the employees have amazing customer service. Will definitely travel to this Walmart instead of the one in McKinney on redbud. read more

Little ol' Anna has finally hit the big time. There's a Wal-Mart running the show now in town and it definitely has been a long time coming. After several unofficial "opening dates" it finally opened on a rainy Wednesday, April 26th. Despite the heavy downpours, it was packed! Parking lot was about 3/4 full with several of the neighboring police departments standing guard on the commencement ceremony. Not be rained on it's parade, the Anna High School band and cheerleaders were there and over the weekend of 4/29-4/30 it had it's "grand opening" event with free cookies, hot dogs, coffee (community coffee stand was at the gas station/convenience store), kids activities, music and free giveaways (like orange colored re-usable tote bags, etc). The store itself upon entering has that "new car" smell or well... in the case the "new corporate store" smell that hasn't been sniffed since Brookshire's opened up or more recently CVS broke ground a while ago. I moved here about 10 years ago and there was only Dollar General and the trust ol truck stops/gas stations to get last minute items such as medicine or toilet paper, etc. Now, you walk in the store and it's something to give the closest Walmart in Mckinney or Sherman a run for their money. The store is clean, with plenty of personnel/staff on hand to assist you in locating certain isles or finding a specific section. The CHECKOUT counters - a big reason I don't like going to the Walmart in Mckinney on Red bud are actually manned and there isn't a 40 minute wait. Self check outs are quick and efficient. I haven't utilized the garden or automotive section of the store yet (as in buying let's say a car battery or something out of lawn and garden) but I don't suspect it to be a hassle. Their gasoline prices is about a cent less than the adjacent truck stops, so that will surely entice more people to turn in to check it out. Parking lot is ok, BUT... i have noticed if you're trying to exit and turn left on FM 455 there is a slight delay from the 2 way traffic of FM 455 itself, and people pulling out of the KFC/Taco Bell going either east/west. So that "left turn" going east on FM 455 out of Walmart in front of KFC/Taco Bell has had traffic backed up certain times of the day. Not really Wal-Mart's fault as i'm sure the issue will be resolved once FM 455 opens up completely. I've seen residents from Howe, Van Alstyne, Weston, Melissa, even some folks from Leonard made the trip out here to check it out. Hopefully this is the beginning of several other major retailers occupying the real estate off the 75/Central Expressway. Only time will tell how this new supercenter will fare, but so far... so good. So yeah, big time retailer in little ol Anna.. but still remains a quaint small town. I mean... we still only have 1 "red light" in the entire town after all... (HWY 5 and FM 455)! read more

Anna, TX location is the worst one I've been to when it comes to having what you need. The last 3 visits, I've had to leave and go somewhere else. The last time, I counted. I went in for 8 things and was only able to find 2 in stock. Was unable to purchase a gun, keypad was down and they were not concerned on getting it fixed. Allegedly that was the only keypad in the building, which is a lie. I was a manager for Wal-Mart and know for a FACT, they are required to have supplies and backup on hand at all times due to the type of sale. I hate writing bad reviews since I know the type of environment that Wal-Mart associates go through, but I cant let this one go. The worst experience I've ever had at Wal-Mart. I am a bit frustrated with this stores customer service. Twice we have dealt with just uncaring associates and managers also. The last incident was 5/19/2018. We had seen a nice collection of beach umbrellas on sale a few weeks ago but at the time we didnt have the extra cash to get it and our pool wasn't up yet. Our pool is now up so we made a special trip to grab it. We get there and they are all out of stock. We notice they have 7 of them on end caps as a display. We asked if we could buy one of the display models and they rudely told us no. They do not sell displays. Bullcrap!!! If you want to make a sale and you want to keep customers than you will take two seconds to make it happen. We were willing to pay full price for a display. It would have taken two seconds to cut off a zip tie and hand it to us. I worked retail and we would always give a display model if a we were out or a customer requested it. That is just good customer service. Its funny when we first asked the associate if they had any more in the back, she states its out of season. Ok...well the beach season just started, so that excuse is bull. I do 80 % of my shopping on Amazon or EBay for this reason. Horrible customer service. We left the store mad. I got on Amazon and purchased what we wanted in all of about 30 seconds. Walmart gets less and less of our business a bit at a time. read more

Had a personal incident in the store this morning and was too embarrassed to get in line with a bunch of other people... the clerk at checkout 10 was kind enough to take my basket and scan and sack all my items without making me stand out in public.. then I was able to pay for them .. and she had already placed them in the basket for me and I was able to discretely leave the store... this was right before noon on april 23.. please make sure this clerk is thanked and rewarded for her kindness... read more
