A trip home to visit my Mom isn't the same without a trip to Walmart (or should I say, many trips to Walmart). We came to this location as we were already on this side of town. As most Walmart's go, it was busy. We found mostly everything we needed, to include liquor. I'm always surprised to find liquor in grocery stores as that's not the case where I live. They had a good selection of beers and liquor. Not too many craft beers, but a few. Checkout was fairly quick and we were on our way. I'm pretty sure this won't be our last trip here. read more

The place has improved in many areas, so I'm raising my review from "It's Okay" to "Good." All right - it's still sketchy in the lot. I've watched as someone was deliberately run over in the parking lot by his girlfriend (police responded while I was shopping - and seemed to be arresting the guy when I was heading back to my car, so maybe he had it coming). You see some zombie-looking people lurking around in the far recesses of the lot: in my last review I reported how I had just watched a parked driver blaze up a glass pipe of something probably not prescribed by his physician. And last week when I was in the lot, I had a creepy dude beeline at my wagon's open hatch only to veer away when I turned and faced him in a manner suggesting he was biting off more than he wanted. Not stuff Sam Walton would probably put in a commercial for his store - the clientele can be a little rough. But there's private security at the store, glowering at everyone but actually helpful when you ask for assistance. And it's a well stocked store - with plenty of employees around to help. (Good garden area, by the way - but it's a little hard to find.) Prices almost always ring up as they were marked on the shelves (I wish my closest grocery store would learn to get this right). And nowadays there are LOTS of cashiers so I haven't had to wait long - and they've always been extremely pleasant and friendly. I come here first when I need to pick up something at a Super Walmart, because it usually works that I can get what I need and get out pretty quickly. The employees have always been polite when I ask for help finding things and their information is generally correct. It's well worth giving this store a try. This is a message/PSA for every customer purchasing food at this location. It appears that several of the items are way past expired and are still being sold. The example image I've posted is of bagels that expired in August of last year - still being sold to people. I've checked several other items throughout the store and confirmed that this is pretty common. This location has been reported to the city, but you all should know and be vigilant. ATTENTION MOTORCYCLISTS: THIS LOCATION DISCRIMINATES AGAINST MOTORCYCLISTS. I was denied entry with my helmet in my helmet bag and my backpack I planned on carrying my groceries back with. I was told I should be expected to lock my empty bag to my motorcycle as well as lock my shoei helmet to the bike in order to enter the store. So I would advise all motorcyclists to take your businesss elsewhere. Speaking to a manager was unhelpful as was speaking with Walmart customer service. I will be cancelling my Walmart plus subscription as well as taking my business elsewhere going forward. I recommend you do the same if you use 2 wheeled transportation. My husband and I actually had an excellent experience with the pharmacist on Saturday. I made an appointment for both of us to get our Flu and COVID vaccines, and even with our insurance problem, they found a solution for us to get our shots. The store was bright and clean, as was the little room where she did the injections. The pharmacist was so quick and efficient that I barely felt anything (obviously more sore later that night but that's not her fault !). Honestly I would feel very comfortable coming back here again for the same. read more

Oh Walmart... I normally avoid Walmart, but occasionally you need something that can only be found there. I ordered a tv stand thing online and ordered pickup at the Carlisle location which was actually super simple and easy. Then the product didn't fit my tv so I had to make a dreaded return. I was closest to the Wyoming location so I walked in to customer service where there was a sizeable line. I waited for awhile then it was finally my turn, I went up and the computer froze... after a few minutes of standing there in silence the associate informs me that their system is down. So I asked if we could move to another computer or something and was told very bluntly no. They told me that I needed to just go to another Walmart. Not an ounce of even trying to find another solution, just get out and make it someone else's problem. There was a decent sized line behind me, wonder if everyone else got sent away or was it just me? I did end up at a different Walmart where the staff actually helped instead of coldly sending me away, it took no more than five minutes for them to find a solution. 10/10 would not recommend, the one on Eubank was much better. read more

On a whim I decided to go come to the dreaded Walmart. I passed by the location nearest me on Carlisle saw the line around the building before I even left Carlisle and said nope! I figured I'd give this location a shot. When I pulled into the lot I found a decent space and the line wasn't very long to get in so I took my chances. The main reason for my visit was I recently came into possession of a water cooler or water dispenser whatever you call it. You know it's the tall thing with the big jug on the top where you get water from in the office. Anyways it didn't come with a jug of it's own so since it's not a common thing I've seen at a Target figured Walmart had some. Walking in I noticed the layout was very different from most of the Walmart's I've been to around town. It was similar but different the way the aisles and departments were laid out. With the capacity limit I have to say I enjoyed this experience compared to my usual experience coming to Walmart. Usually it feels like a chore when I have to come and I avoid going if at all possible mainly because of how busy and crowded the place got pre- corona. I guess the only good thing about all this is the limitations and enforcement of social distancing that's made shopping there a little more of a pleasant experience because I don't have to be around so many people. I was able to find one thanks to the exchange program they have with the jugs. Now when the waters gone I will have to return to return the jug and swap it out for a another at a discounted rate. If it's this way next time I return I'll have to make this my go to Walmart even though it's a bit further for me. The less the crowd is it will make it more worth the while. read more

On Thursday January 18, 2024 after battling with the Smith Grocery website just to create an account, I placed an order for groceries to be picked up on this same date between 1 and 2 p.m.; The system confirmed the information and order and sent me confirmation emails. Imagine my surprise when I was checking emails to see that my grocery order had been cancelled by the store. I called Kroger/Smiths customer service and after an extensive amount of time the customer svc rep first said that there was a problem with the phone number used. When I argued that the system accepted it and sent me confirmations via text and email, then the customer service rep said the store had called me and left the information in a message as to why the order could not be filled. The end and so much for customer service, totally worthless! And, there was NO call placed nor any phone message left. So now I'm dealing with liars as well. Then, AFTER I called and complained, a call was attempted by Smiths and I immediately returned the call. The person answering said that the reason the order was cancelled was because they did not have the "tea" that I had ordered, so they cancelled the entire order and never contacted me to discuss. Here's the rub, we have been a customer at this store for more than 30 years, even though it's not the best, its close. I had knee surgery and unable to drive or shop and my wife has physical limitations in that she can drive to have the groceries loaded and then I can deal with getting them unloaded at home. Yet, the one time we truly needed this service, it was completely worthless. Please be assured we will do most of our shopping elsewhere and be sure to warn others of this lousy service. We tried to order from Albertsons on Lomas, but good luck trying to order delivery when they don't show times for the day and you have to wait and try again the next day?! We ended up ordering our groceries from Walmart on Wyoming. Not only were the groceries delivered ahead of schedule, we received text updates during the entire process. When the driver, Ulisis, came and saw me on a walker, he brought the groceries into the house and even picked up our paper in the yard and brought it to us. I write this lengthy review so others that may be temporarily or permanently disabled know who they may or may not depend upon if assistance is needed. Thanks Walmart. read more

I pulled Into the stall put the number of the stall and color of my car into the app. I received the message thank you your order will be right out. I waited. I waited. I waited no order. After waiting 10 minutes I noticed on my app it said pick up is now closed. I was very unhappy I went into the store and talked to the manager. This was the manager of the customer service desk I believe and she called back for a person from online pick up to come to the front. she called back three times no one came to the front. She went and talked to another manager. I don't know if she was the manager of the cashiers maybe and this lady said we're getting your order, we're getting your order, but nobody was coming to bring me my order I was feeling sick. I started to cry. She called back for online order pick up to come to the front and nobody came! nobody came! They were all standing by customer service, no one else was around. My order consisted of a couple of boxes of boost nutritional drink and some Gatorade that's it. I raised my voice and said what's wrong with you people YOU text me and told me my order was ready and that's why I'm here. Then this 6 foot tall security guy jumps in and tells me that I'm yelling and for me to stop yelling at her. I wasn't yelling at her I raised my voice I was upset but I became extremely upset when he jumped into the whole thing and started telling me to stop yelling! WALMART NEEDS TO TRAIN THEir MANAGERS WHEN IT COMES TO CUSTOMER SERVICE. YOU DONT TREAT PEOPLE LIKE THAT EVER! Ever! I am a person. THATS HOW YOU START FIGHTS. This is without a doubt the worst Walmart I've ever done business with. I just moved here from Tulalip, WA and frequently used the Walmart for grocery delivery there and never had an issue. My grocery deliveries from this store in Albuquerque have been wrought with problems; missing items that I was charged for on every single order, rotten (like brown and slimy) produce and expired food including old and stale bread. Corporate customer service has been great about refunding my money but they've got to know by now that there's a problem, even my roommate's orders have been as bad but it's been going on for years for her. The only "plus" (for me) is that I'm always receiving items that I never ordered and wasn't charged for (most recently I received a pound and a half of fresh sliced Black Forest ham), I'm assuming this is where all my missing items went and I hope the folks who received them were able to get some use out of them. read more

The customer service at this location is horrible. My friend and I went there to get some fabric for a project. It took 20 minutes for someone to come to the cut counter. Once someone finally came they didn't seem to know what they were doing. Then we went up to check out. The fabrics wouldn't scan into the register so the cashier called the manager. The manager walked away with our fabrics, leaving us to wait awkwardly by the cash register for 30 minutes. After waiting almost an hour for these fabrics the manager comes back only to tell us that they've been recalled and are unavailable for purchase. Other cashiers there were kind and concerned that we were waiting so long. I won't be going back to that Walmart any time soon. read more

*This review is for the grocery Pickup service* My husband and I have very busy schedules. I saw that this location on Wyoming offers a FREE grocery pickup service, as long as you spend a min of $30. I went online reserved a time block (an hour), followed my list and added the items I wanted. Not only was I able to get groceries, but other items like toilet paper. sticky notes and dish towels! Where has this been my whole adult life?! At check out it confirms everything and you know what you're paying for. I had my husband go and pick up the groceries. Once the shopping is done, they will send you a text, email and notification on the app. On the app, you can share your location. My husband arrived and went to the pick up lane and called the number to let them know he arrived. It took them about 5 min to come out, greet him and also load the groceries. VERY impressed. I went to the Walmart today to buy some laptops. The workers there were very reluctant to help, especially when they need to go back to retrieve the items. They usually lie and tell you nothing is in the back even their scanner says the number of the items available. The electric department manager, I believe her name is Jacky, has very horrible attitude towards customers and would gang up with other workers against customers. She is not there to facilitate sales, but to sabotage it! She obviously should be fired! I am definitely going to complain about her and strongly encourage others to do so! I suffer from multiple sclerosis and was having a flair up. I needed some food so I stopped to get some despite feeling very sick from it. I walk with a cane,am very weak and don't have much use of my right hand at the moment. I started having trouble walking and standing so I decided to pay and get to my car . A nice cashier rang me up and on my way out a blond lady named Kelly and an old gentleman with long hair named Jerry stopped me and asked for my recipt. I couldn't physically riffle through my bags and purse let alone stand up. They physically held me in the store and kept harassing me accusing me of all kinds of things.thry were asking which cashier or number of the register I paid at and I described the person. It wasn't enough Jerry said with a laughthere's a few people here like that you'll have to be more specific. Kelly was very rude and wouldn't let me leave. By the time they walked over to the cashier and asked if I paid I could bearly stand up and was crying. The cashier said i paid.Other people walked out no problem and were not asked for recipt....so why did they decide to pick on a person with an obvious disability. They dragged out detaining me as long as they could. I almost ended up on the ground due to not being able to bearly stand. It was hell. I reported them. I won't be shopping at that store again. Don't bother talking to a manager. They do nothing. This store hates people with disabilities so if you have one for sure do not shop here. This Has Been one of the worst days of my life thanks to Kelly andJerry. They should not be allowed to get away with it but they will. I have used Walmart home delivery of groceries for over 8 months now. I am 70 years old with health issues and caregiver to a disabled spouse. I have not been inside a Walmart or any other store since April. Turns out science is real and doesn't care what anyone believes or practices. I have the Walmart app on my android phone. The app and I have evolved. First it started doing substitutions but the decision was arbitrary to the order filler. Salted vs unsalted butter is not a deal breaker to me but for someone unlike me who knows how to cook it's a big deal. 2 half gallons of my favorite juice when gallons are out of stock, awesome. Now the app is suggesting substitutions about an hour or so ahead of scheduled delivery. Watch your devices because you only have a 30 minute window to go yes or no. There are glitches. Last week I ordered a 3 pack of reading glasses at 2.00 +. I was substituted a 2.50 + magnification pack which will only work if I hold the book 7 feet in front of me. I requested a refund and was sent a QR code and told to return the item to my nearest Walmart. I emailed back that there was a two hour wait in cold weather at my nearest Walmart which had previously been shut down for 2 weeks due to excessive covid19 cases. I also emailed that I couldn't afford the organic, free range pickles delivered by Whole Foods so I wouldn't be getting mad and quitting Walmart. Surprisingly I received an actual voice call from Matt who is a manager type I believe at my store. Matt knows the app and knows about the lines and immediately refunded the cost of the glasses and told me to bring them back next time I was in the Walmart. I told Matt I probably wouldn't be back in Walmart until Fall 2021 if I was still alive. $12.95 a month, $35.00 minimum order. Doordash does delivery and Walmart adds about 10% tip all of which goes to the drivers . You have 24 hours to change the tip. I up the tip when I can for the drivers who are in a high risk job. State of New Mexico insists on sales tax even though they know it's illegal. Refunds? You need to purchase a $35 order to secure a scheduled delivery time which are now running up to five days out. Once you are locked in you can add or change the order up to 1:45 AM day of delivery. The night before delivery i can often add items that were out of stock previously. Current order is found under "purchased history " once you locked it in but before delivery. Amazon better watch out my customer service responses from Walmart have been very strong. Imagine working here; it is not only abusive everyone says for years, but they have got away with not paying employees for a full day several times. Many are underpaid, but told door greeters need to search their belongings every time they come in, go to lunch, and go through a door. Making employees late. The one day of unpaid in total adds up to 50-80$ a DAY unpaid. In all areas where there's supposed to be a team, 1 single employee will be left alone to do a 7 person job. Went to buy a belt and two pair of paints at 7:10 pm and attempted to try on the pants before buying them but apparently they close the fitting rooms after 7:00 pm. Asked for the manager and Service Manager Noel showed up and turned the OPEN sign from open to closed and said they are unable to open the fitting rooms after 7:00 pm. I then showed her the 5 belts that they had on the rack which should have held 75+ belts. Very poorly stocked. Noel didn't seem to care and it was apparent that I was bothering her so I left all my items and left the store. VERY poor customer service. read more

I will not go into full detail because this post would be way too long (and corporate has been informed of what happened) but let's just say that when your money is not good enough for an establishment and the management team can't manage then it's just better to move on and go somewhere else. After swearing I'd never return to this location, I did. It's incredible the lengths I had to go to get a 10$ stud finder. Had to wait for an employee for 30 minutes to unlock it, then I had to pay for it right then and there because it came out of the cabinet! what a joke. I usually shop at this walmart for both myself and my mother who is bedriden and can't shop for herself. When I buy things that don't work out for whatever reason I return them. The amount I spend far surpasses the amount I return and everything I return is in pristine condition. It's usually not that big of a deal but this is the second time the person at the counter was just a complete c U next Tuesday. I handed her my receipt and my item and since I was planning on doing more shopping I said she could put it in a gift card since I figure that looks better for then than putting the money back on my debit card. Then she insists on seeing the debit card and since I have a couple I asked what the last 4 digits were and she gave me a number that didn't match any of my cards so I asked to see the receipt found the correct number and gave the receipt and the card back to her. Then she asks for my ID and I'm pretty confused because they don't even need the card to put the money back on it. I said it was my moms card if it was a big deal she could just put the money on the card or do one without a receipt. Kady said that she wasn't doing the return for me period. I just returned it to the Walmart on carslisle with no problems. I'll be doing my shopping somewhere else too. I don't need the attitude. read more
