Note: This review is about Walmart.com, not the physical store. I must say that we are all probably spoiled with what a seamless process this is from notable online retailers. Walmart.com, despite it's parent's size and what should be expertise, is sadly lacking in this area, based on this experience mainly, but a few others in the past as well. Abysmal experience with this Walmart.com process. - It starts with the actual frustration of ordering. You can't really tell what they're letting you order for delivery, versus those items they won't ship and thus put in a "Store Pickup" categogry. - You finally get the order thru though and get the usual confirmation notifications by email & text - so this part's good. - With my latest order, they summarily split the order into 2 parts. It was a $150 order with about 20 items. Not ideal, but OK. - Received notifications that one would be delivered by 8pm, and the other before 10pm. Kind of late for deliveries, but again, OK. - Door bell rings at 8pm. There are 12 different items strewn all over my front porch - as in no master shipper, box or bags. Not OK! - No sign of the other part of the order by the next day. Tracking indicates that as of 6am that day, it returned to a County distribution center as "damaged". - No courtesy email or text from Walmart that entire day to indicate any delay or trouble with the shipment. Remember, it was supposed to deliver by 10pm the night before. Again - not OK. - Upon calling WM.com Customer Service, they confirmed that indeed, the 2nd part of the order would not be coming. I asked the rep to re-order it. She said 3 of the (key) items in that order would no longer ship - unclear if unavailable - hard to believe - or they just would not ship, and she couldn't say. - She re-ordered what she could and refunded me for the 3 items. Randomly dropped in here with my son in search for toys and was surprised they had so much available that other stores didn't carry. All reasonably priced and organized in a manner where I didn't have to climb and move things around. Kudos to their staff for improving the cleanliness of this store. It used to be a mess back in the day with endless construction and deep potholes on the parking lot. I wouldn't hesitate to drop in again for any random things I need. read more

Came here for a few personal things for my sons and boy the prices have gone up and everything is behind a locked glass case. I dont normally shop for them in person and do everything online nowadays but I needed to look at the quality of the items I was buying. The items were good and I guess it's expected to pay for good quality but Walmart use to be the go to place for all your needs. Inflation has affected everything so I guess all in all I'm happy they had the items I needed...but as for price sheessh.... I need a credit point cash back card messing with Walmart smh. I found this Walmart, easy to get to and has many other stores that were open that day. I was looking for bath and body grooming and they had a whole section with body wash and accessories. I found what I wanted and I was able to get shopping done easily. The staff was superb and there were many people shopping that day so it was very eventful. I might have spent too much time in the store. I had a good time and got to finish shopping for the day. read more

The place is a nightmare. I would not recommend this store. I try and avoid it like the plague, anytime I can. I often find myself only coming here when I'm desperate, or around christmas lol. BEWARE OF DRY DOG FOOD! Yesterday I was there to pick up a couple 40 lbs bags for the dogs. Two of the Purina ONE bags had weird looking skinny bugs and WORMS that were almost an inch long! I pulled them off the shelf and left them in the aisle. I meant to bring it to their attention but was distracted. The dog I brought shopping with me was enchanting all the shoppers........ Also frustrating is that so much of the merchandise either has no price on it or is mismarked. Since they took down the scanners that you could check prices on, they need an app that shoppers can use. Too often I bring up more stuff than I intends to buy because I need the cashier to tell me what the costs are. read more

I needed to stop here to get some detergent and while I was here, I found that they had a really great selection of Christmas sweaters and cute Christmas sweater dresses and jumpsuits. Right now the store is well stocked with things that are regular essentials. They also have a great selection of detergents and cleaning supplies. The grocery section for dry goods, boxed, and canned items is pretty well stocked. The frozen section is a bit limited, but they do have things that you can just grab and cook in the microwave or air fryer. I do like that they always seem to have enough dairy available as well. This trip I avoided the snacks area, but it was well stocked. The candy area had a lot more selection this visit. The holiday candy and everything Holiday related is in the aisle near the back of the store by the greeting cards. Right now they are stocked with a lot of Holiday items but I'm sure that by Thanksgiving week it will be slim pickings. Overall I like the store because it's calm and quiet and there's not a lot of traffic in and out during the evenings. The self-checkout lines are very, very convenient. I did notice that a security guard or two was following me while I shopped which was super annoying. Took a star off for that profiling behavior. read more

Definitely recommend if you like bargains. I rushed in came here last minute 10:45pm they close at 11pm needed to buy a truck cargo net it also grabbed a bunch of other stuff . This review is for Walmart.com, and the people working at the call center for it. I realize this is a physical location, but there's nowhere else to put this, and it's honestly a ridiculous story and points to a massive glitch in Walmart.com's website. I've tried three times now to buy this item - https://www.walmart.com/ip/Jones-Soda-12oz-Hatch-Chile-Special-Release-4-Pack/510569897 Every time, once I've purchased it, the item is swapped in my cart to an entirely different Jones Soda flavor, which always ends up being Key Lime instead of the Hatch Chile and Lime flavor I'm trying to buy - https://www.walmart.com/ip/JONES-SODA-SPECIAL-RELEASE-4PK/1798559296 As you can see by going to the link, this bugged out item is extremely low priced, has no picture, and can't even be found by searching the store normally. The first time I called up, I got a person on the phone (We'll call her Sarah, but that's not actually her name). They claimed the issue is because I didn't have "reject any substitutions" on my purchase, despite there being no actual option to select this. However, Sarah said that they had set it properly for the next time I'd purchase it, and they'd give me a refund. Okay, no problem. -------------------- Cue the second package arriving, and unsurprisingly, it's the Key Lime flavor again. The bonus this time around is that one of the bottles broke, so now there's a soaked package sitting on my door mat. I call up again, and ask how this happened again, going over what Sarah had said. This time, I get a guy who gets me ahold of a supervisor. The supervisor, Jennifer (again, an alias I'm giving them) goes very in depth with the issue with me, and claims that what's happening is that the item isn't available for purchase anymore from Walmart.com, and on their end, the page I keep telling them about that works fine on my end, is actually non-existent/bugged on their end. So, they say I shouldn't be able to buy it again from this point and the first two times were purely bugs. While on the phone with them, I hit the "buy now" button and it goes into my cart and it's bought. I ask them to verify I've just ordered it, and, dumbfounded, they're at a loss for words as to how I've done this. They give me a reference number and forward it to the higher ups, and tell me that if THIS one comes back as Key Lime incorrectly, to call back and use the reference number. -------------------- Third one arrives; yep, it's Key Lime again. (Not broken this time at least though!) I call back AGAIN. I get "Steve" on there (fake name again). Steve doesn't want to get me to a supervisor until I tell him about the whole story, so I do. They then get a supervisor... and start relaying everything the supervisor says through them, to me. Here's where it gets even more insane. Steve is claiming that in fact, the Hatch Chile and Lime Jones Soda flavor IS available on Walmart.com... ...but the reason it keeps sending me the incorrect one is because of my COOKIES and my CACHE. Yes, he's claiming that my orders, on Walmart.com, are somehow, from the client side of things, are able to override/inject information into the server side of things because I HAVEN'T CLEARED MY CACHE OR MY COOKIES. They furthermore insist that if I were to login to my account on a different computer, even multiple states over, that my COOKIES WOULD FOLLOW FROM MY OLD COMPUTER AND APPEAR ON THIS NEW COMPUTER. This was information relayed to them by the supervisor as well, so after about 20 minutes of trying to get them to realize why this isn't the issue, I just gave up and told them that I'd "clear the cache and cookies", which they claimed would "make the correct item get purchased". (Remember, when I buy the item, it shows up properly in my cart for the first 24 hours, then switches midway through transit.) Unsurprisingly, clearing them did nothing, and the item is still available to purchase, even on a guest account. I'd buy it a fourth time, but honestly, this has cost me a lot of fridge space, a lot of time, and a lot of my patience. Walmart.com, please train your employees better, and get better website and server staff. You shouldn't have the wrong item getting shipped three times to a customer's house and then have your staff blame it on their cookies and cache not being cleared. Seriously. read more

We usually go to the Walmart that is closer to us, however I'm glad we stopped by this one as we even more appreciated the ample close-in parking, the products (more choices) and people! Specifically, the floor worker I found was very savvy in locating the merchandise I needed and I was impressed with the checker's courtesy and speed and at the register. Just as we were dashing out the door for an appointment. "Jacqueline" ran over and said, "excuse me, you didn't pick up your change". (From a $100 bill!) She didn't have to do that as there were many customers in line, we were almost out the door and no one noticed, etc. Sometimes various stores seem understaffed regarding assistance, and on this day, the quantity of support didn't matter . . . .it was the quality! read more

We needed some camping chairs for the car so we decided to check out Walmart since we also needed a few other items. As we pulled into the parking lot, I was impressed with the solar panels. A dual purpose! Charging energy plus a carport to protect our cars from the hot sun!! More Walmarts and other companies should do this more. They had a lot of things fully stocked as far as I could tell. You can find household items, camping, lawn and garden, kitchen, entertainment, toys, tools, car supplies, snacks, and much more. Overall, they have plenty of things you'll need economically. ( Even if hyperinflation has raised prices ). The store was nice and clean. The aisles seemed a little more narrower than other stores, though. They had ample registers, but only two were open. They also have ample of the self checkout so it's best to go there if you'd like to leave quicker. read more

Online it says Walmart accepts WIC, so I got a bunch of food for my baby, I even checked the WIC app and it said it was accepted. Then when I went to pay Teresa claims no Walmarts take WIC at all. Horrible liar, I had to go thru all my bags and take out all the food for my baby. Returned to Walmart after not visiting for like 10 years because my friend said the Skinny Girl salad dressing is really good (it's not). This Walmart sucks. I did mobile order for car pickup and half the things I ordered were suddenly unavailable. They didn't offer any alternatives or alerted me ahead of time, just cancelled my items when I arrived for pickup. But I went inside to browse around since it's been years and sure enough the stuff they said weren't available were right there on the freaking shelves. Their return counter closes like at 7PM. Why isn't it opened until the store closes like every other major retailer?! Also, no Apple Pay. Walmart has not kept up with the times. It's just old and dark inside. Wow this has always been my favorite location but it has gone down the drain. I guess the theft is so rampant that so many things are locked up and good luck finding someone to unlock the cabinet. Then if they do; they put the merchandise in a locked container so someone at checkout has to unlock it. Half of the self check out stations were shut down... I guess they aren't operable. The line was so long and not moving too fast because of all the broken down stations. They had some human ran registers but those lines were super long as well. Seems like they are understaffed for such a busy store/location. Prices online are cheaper than in the store. They will honor the online price if you request it. Almost every employee I saw had on disgustingly filthy blue vests. There really should be a requirement that attire should be clean. As I approached the cosmetics area, the employee was locking up the entire area and told me she had to take her lunch break and would be back in 30 minutes. Unbelievable. I don't have 30 minutes to spare. I finally track down an employee. A very nice man and he unlocked the cosmetics area but didn't have the key for locked cabinet containing the item I wanted to buy. He managed to extend his arm far enough from a cabinet he did have access to and reach the item for me. The whole shopping experience just felt surreal. I was going to get contact lenses drops but those are now locked up. I said forget it! read more

My opinion of this Walmart has improved greatly, and I'm happy to raise my rating.  First, the associates we encountered today were friendly and helpful.  Second, the grocery aisles were an eye opener.  Selections are extensive, especially re ethnic, gluten-free, and Keto food items.  My hat is off to the store management and buying teams. read more

The pharmacy is a waist of time the staff at Claremont store ((Shawline Rd ) severely lacks customer service and is on going struggle to communicate! After having major surgery, I decided to shop for new sports bras since I was going to be a much smaller size. I picked out a few sports bras and when I walked into the fitting room, the an older female Walmart associate said I wasn't allowed to try on any of the sports bras because I would dirty them. I asked her what she meant by dirtying them because there are customers here trying on clothes. She said if I had deodorant on, then I would get the sports bras dirty. I asked her if I could at least try one on and she still said no with an attitude, even though they were customers trying on clothes. Some customers trying on shirts, who I assume, are wearing deodorant. And they're getting deodorant on the armpits of the shirt. But I can't try on even one sports bra. After speaking to another Walmart associate, she said that I could just buy the bras and try them on at home. If they do not fit, then I can exchange or return them. I had asked her what if I accidentally got a little deodorant on a sports bra. She said "we have customers who try on shirts and bras and unfortunately get deodorant on them. It can happen when trying on clothing, but we will clean and sanitize the area that was dirty before putting it back on the clothing rack." I understand the older woman's concerns, but I was disappointed by the way she handled the situation. She was rude about it. I thanked her for her "assistance" and walked away before she started to get upset with me about asking to try at least one bra on. read more

Walmart is a large company with little value given to improve customer service. The experience encountered here is by far the worst. 9/1/24 at 12:30pm My partner and I were at the self checkout and an old man named ANDY who was supposed to be helping was sitting on a chair. We politely asked for assistance but he just looked at us and didn't answer. He rudely told us to come to him and motioned his hand. We asked if he can help us and he finally got up after multiple requests to help us. We told him the item wasn't ringing up as the clearance price. He said that's the price but we told him it was in the clearance isle. He proceeded to be adamant and had a rude and condescending tone with us. He said he's been working there for a long time and he knows what he's doing. He was already having a bad attitude and he snapped at us in a rude way shaking his head continuously belittling us. He told us "NO IF IT DOESN'T HAVE THE yellow sticker someone must've misplaced it" I told him there was an entire box of it in the clearance isle. He can see for himself or I can show him a picture. He kept saying no and shaking his head at us like we were stupid young kids. He was completely rude and was on a power trip. The whole entire time he was guarding our station and was watching us like a hawk. I even showed him an item that didn't have a yellow sticker but was on sale. Not all items in the clearance isle have those yellow stickers. I told him "see not all clearance items have stickers and they may have forgotten". When he scanned an item without the sticker it was IN FACT on sale. I think he got moded but didn't want to admit he was wrong--but rather proceeded to be firm like he knew everything. We weren't rude either. He kept coming up to us looking at our stuff and asking "are you going to take this?" And starts taking stuff we didn't need. At first he didn't give a crap about helping us, but now he was on his feet power tripping and scolding us in line in front of everyone. He kept picking on us and singled us out of everyone else there and continued to pester us. He thought he was going to walk all over us and bully us for no reason and kept watching us the entire time. I went back to the clearance isle to grab the same items that had the yellow stickers on them while my partner waited in line. I was already willing to let that part go and wasn't going to let this old jerk ruin the day even though I was already pissed off--but it was when we left that I snapped. After paying for all our stuff I looked at him and said, "NEXT TIME DON'T BE RUDE" as I walked off, he stopped my partner behind me and began to harass him asking him for our receipts. He was assuming we didn't pay or thought we were probably stealing. He was watching us the entire time and probably thought we wanted items for whatever price we wanted. I was so upset I told my partner let's go and the lazy worker tries telling my partner that he wasn't rude and couldn't do much to help. My partner called him out and told him, "it's your bad attitude and bad customer service and his tone, it's all about customer retention" but I'm sure the old man didn't even understand. The worker made up some excuse saying it's beyond his control or capacity. Tf? That wasn't even the point. He was making up crap to excuse his bad behavior. Unacceptable behavior at his age. He was so arrogant and just was tired of life and miserable at his job. He decided to be smart with us but I wasn't going to let this a**hole get away with it. I asked for the supervisor on the floor and we complained to the manager on duty that day. The manager JUSTIN took a long time to come out from the back after multiple requests to get him to the front. I asked what happened and he said he was just at the back. After telling the manager what happened he looked stunned and was speechless and didn't know what to say. He didn't have much to say to diffuse the situation or make it right. The managers here also need proper training on how to handle this type of behavior. He didn't know how to deal with the situation and respond to the matter. He looked inexperienced and didn't say much--all he did was stay quiet shrug his shoulders and had a smirk on his face as if to say "oh well". They hire young managers that don't have any type of experience or training skills. I'm sure that Andy miserable old fart was going to deny the whole thing and tell the manager completely different and just gets a slap on the wrist. I'm not even sure if this Justin guy even talked to him. One of these days if that old man continues to talk down to and belittle customers--he will meet his match one day. I hope no one else gets to be treated this way, I know we didn't deserve it. We were trying to do the right thing and be honest. For no reason at all we were harassed and bullied. Folks if you are miserable with your job--it's time for you to retire. read more

Found 3 employees to ask for help, pressed the button, waited an hour. Nothing! It's near Christmas. I swing in here cuz of my move into a condo in the mission bay this week. I had to buy the temporary things till my purchases of new things to arrived. The first impression were a roomy place, filled with lots of good looking customers ... hahaha Anyways, I went about making my purchase and used the self checkout options. And when after paying I picked the receipts to come into my cellphone. Well I learned later that never happened!! So as I walk out of the store. A gal guarded by it asked for my receipt and I learned the receipts never went to my phone. The woman have a questionable face on her asking me to ask them to produce a receipt. So I gone back to the self checkout section to ask for a receipt. They got a manger involved and helped and wrote of a receipt of the transaction and inquiries why I asked for it (indicating that practice weren't practical) , I then info it's the gal by the exit requesting me to provide it to her before I can exit the store with it. The manager assured me that she will let her know. As I walk out with my goods I waived the receipts to the gatekeeper's face that I had initially paid and didn't need to be stopped for the second time.
