I was NOT happy with today's shopping experience. I wanted to purchase a HP laptop was fairly open as far as specifications go, Was open to spending 250 to 350 dollars, I did want a touch screen. The app had lots to choose from BUT NOT available for in-store pickup Im temporarily without transportation and really could use a replacement for my old laptop that died on me. It would have been so helpful for me to order online and pick it up in store like a cheeseburger. So much for wishful thinking. read more

While shopping at target I walked into the ultra department. There was one woman at the checkout. No one helped me . I got one item walk up to the checkout this clerk was writing on a paper towel not acknowledging me I waited and waited she never looked up. I left and found another clerk I asked her to find the manager so she takes me to the rude clerk at the ultra department. I turned around and left She's so lucky I didn't go Karen on her. Ran in to use the ATM as there was no credit union or 7-Eleven nearby and I suddenly needed cash. I never did make it any further into the store than the ATM at the entrance, but from what I saw it looked like any other Target. It was a $4.00 ATM fee. What?! I love going to Target because the store is bright, with fun displays and there are countless people walking the floor to help customers, in addition to price scanners around every corner. The Balboa store has gone through a lot of changes in the past few years. It used to be a dump with clutter everywhere. Not anymore. This store is a gem with the added benefit of a huge parking lot to accommodate even the largest crowds. On this particular visit we were buying a pair of shoes and a video game for my daughter. It took 2 seconds to get help from the associate in the electronics area. He rang up everything for me at his counter and we were done. He was awesome and our visit to the store couldn't have been better. read more

I go here for most of my shopping. Can I say the management here isn't good I bought a Pokémon go 10 .00 gift card from them went home and scratched it out to redeem when I had tried to redeem. The card had said it is empty. I went back to get a refund. They didn't won't to get back my money. They told me to contact the gift card. It says particular and back of the gift card if use or stolen cannot be replaced which also they told me to call the number on back there is no number end of the day they threw me a $10 target gift card. They couldn't even give me another Pokémon gift card. I can say sometimes I have mixed feelings about this location. Sometimes I think the card packs are tampered with and the gift cards are also tempered with I be careful buying gift cards in this store because a long time ago during Christmas someone did a scam with all the gift cards I am a red card owner of the store and this is how you treat me. We love shopping at Target!! Luckily we are just down the street from this one!! This Target has your everyday household needs plus the full grocery shopping experience. They have everything from kitchen stuff to bedroom/living room decor. Something for everyone. The day we went in was a busy Sunday! I know, bad day to shop! It was a hit and miss on finding things. They were either wiped out on certain items or just have been out for a while. Overall, still great shopping. Shared parking lot with other businesses, but ample parking. This was hands-down the most unprofessional and frustrating experience I've had at any retail store. The employees were rude, dismissive, and clearly had no clue what they were doing. It's like no one had been trained or even cared to help. The management was completely absent or just as useless--nobody knew what was going on, and nobody made any effort to fix it. I have the target circle and I have a coupon that expires this month so I decided to go to target to get some needed supplies and use my coupon. I got probably about $120 worth of items- the cashier Robin (has brown hair and a thick septum ring) absolutely refused to let me use my coupon. I showed it to her and showed her that I have it, and it's still valid and she kept saying "you have to download the app so I can scan it..." I cannot download the app because I don't have space in my phone. It literally says right there CAN USE IN STORE. She absolutely refused to apply the coupon so I had to put back like 70% of my items. Like what terrible service. The last time I went to target they leg me use my coupon without downloading the app so idk what this person was talking about. read more

Seriously. 3 lanes open in a Sunday at 5 pm so went to self-checkout lane where I was told by the peso. Working g that section, limit for items was 10. Headed back to one of 3 lanes where we waited 15 minutes to get thru it. After 10 minutes went back to person working self-checkout to see if she call more people. Great location and nice layout! The aisles are large and well labeled. It is fairly easy to navigate. This Target has everything you could need - home decor back to school items, toys, pharmacy, groceries, and more. I also like that you can order online and have your items ready for pickup within a few hours (wait for them to email you that your order is ready though!). My most recent trip. I noticed that one of their fitting rooms was closed, I had to wait ~10 minutes to try my items on. Their clothing sections were particularly messy and unorganized. That section of the store was not particularly enjoyable to shop through. I appreciate that right when you enter they have an area of season and on-sale items that you can easily look through. Love ya, think you're great and all but just one teeny little complaint for this location... y'all are always stocking your shelves every Saturday when it's the busiest day to shop and it's hard to navigate items when your employees have their carts everywhere and they are upset because we are in the way and we are upset because they are in the way. This store seemed like any other location except it was a ton bigger than most I've been to including the super one near our home. We didn't really come in for anything specific, just had 30 minutes to kill while waiting for a cake order next door. Our three year old could have spent hours in the toy section, luckily we were able to usher him out in 45 minutes. Surprised how nothing seemed to be on sale or on clearance a couple days after Christmas. They were all out of the one specific hair dye I use, I guess everyone is dying their hair black nowadays. We were able to quickly get out and beat the lines by going to self checkout, I didn't see Starbucks inside, but maybe because I just wasn't looking for it. read more

This is a very solid Target location. As with the brand as a whole, the stores are bright, modern, and clean. This store in Balboa is no exception, especially after their recent renovation. Parking is abundant. There's plenty of self checkout machines so the waits are never too long. And the store layout is familiar. Pricing is fair, especially with the frequent sales, and they've got everything you need from grocery and household goods through clothing and electronics. At the time of this review, they've still got plenty of bottled water and canned goods if you are looking to stock up... I also noticed the Target Drive Up Service where you can shop within the app, set your arrival time, then have the goods brought out to your car. Keep up the great work Target! read more

.....I mean, what can I really say? It's a Target, lol. Okay okay. This is my go-to Target as it's the closest one to me. Compared to the other Targets in the area, it seems like this one is a very popular one; sometimes I have to go to the next nearest Target as some of the stuff that I want is sold out in this location. Don't recommend going to this Target on Mondays, as on those days the place looks ransacked due to the wrath of the weekend shoppers (the dairy and refrigerated breakfast-food aisles especially get ravaged). Lot is huge and although on weekends it can be a war zone, you'll always find parking (you might just have to walk a bit). read more

I always go to this target, but the solicitors are out of control. There is a big sign in the window that says no soliciting, but they still do it. I even go through the side entrance to avoid these people. But Today I had this one guy that was a big time jerk and literally put his hands up to stop me so I can sign his petition to fix potholes. He's like hey red shirt and he stood in front of the entrance, so I couldn't even get by. Next thing I know, I'm signing four pieces of paper, and putting all my information on this petition. One would think an employee wouldn't be so stupid and lack common sense to check packing and organization that: A quart of cream was placed on top of a pack of dinner rolls, smashing them. These were the only two items in that bag. The package of dinner rolls was completely open on one of the sides - impossible to miss. Total failure and too bad, being my first (and now last) time using pickup. Total joke. Will be either requesting a full refund or disputing the charge. read more

After Robin rang up my items she saw I had cash in hand so asked me to press exit on the keypad so I asked her if I could still put my phone number in for points, she tells me with an attitude well now I have to ring everything up again and I said ok, so my total came out to more than the $50 I had left on the counter so she says with an attitude once again "cash and card " and my response back was with an attitude" yeah did you expect me to pay for $66 worth of shit with $50? "After giving her a taste of her own attitude she couldn't handle it and ran off saying she's going to get her manager and I was left standing there for about 5 mins and in between that the most wonderful associate named Matthew stops and asked me if I've been helped and I explained to him the situation and he apologized to me and proceeded to help me when the manager walked up with 2 security guards!! She asked me to explain what happened I told her and she apologized and then called security off and I asked her if they were going to arrest me LOL! She said well we were told some curse words were exchanged and I laughed because who knew the word Shit could send someone spiraling! I Called corporate and had it escalated internally. This isn't the first bad review that mentions Robin negatively . Target you can do better, train your team in better customer service. It only takes one bad experience. read more

Crappy customer service, I've been doing mobile order pick ups from this target location since it started, and as of recently, the customer service is very poor, employees never smile look miserable and are simply just unfriendly. My wife does the order and puts me as the pick up person. I've always presented my drivers license. Last week when I came as usual, the employee made me feel like I was a burden and a bother because she had to type in the first two letters of my last name shaking her head negatively and telling me next time to present a barcode. I didn't argue and actually apologized to her even though I shouldn't have to. this was the first time having such a negative experience until today which happens to be the second time in a row this time I had the barcode. I stood at the pick up counter and watch the same employee come walking towards me making eye contact again with no smile looking very unhappy as she walked right past me without saying anything. I stood there waiting another three minutes or so until two more employees came walking up again not smiling, looking very unfriendly at least this time one of them asked if I had been help which I responded, no not yet and presented my barcode. She scanned it and walked away with no response then returned with my items again no smile, when I thanked her she had no response and simply turned around and walked away. Wow I thought to myself these employees must seriously hate their job or something? Just kind of a bad feeling when I'm spending money at a store and feel like I'm a nuisance by the employees working. read more

Convenience at its finest! I recently threw in the towel with Walmart altogether and decided to give Target a full time shot. Plus prices and some things are much better than Walmart. For starters, I advice downloading the app because it makes things much easier. I placed a few orders for Curbside pick up and by enabling my location, I was able to notify the app when I was on my way and once I arrived, the app notified the staff I arrived. Depending on your phone and location it may need tweaking. Because well...it's technology. I'm surprised it worked and I didn't have to click "I'm Here". Within the minute someone was heading out with my order and I was on my way. One item wasn't available so I chose the shipping option and wasn't charged for shipping and the item arrive in about 2 days well packaged with care. read more

I have noticed the associates are not the same ones when I shopped here before. I came here to stock up on groceries. It was nice to be able to get discounts for the cheaper merchandise. I would look on the end caps for sales and discounts. There were the sets of storage containers that we bought that we are replacing from the move. The storage bins are super nice. They're clear that lets us be able to see what dry foods we need. I wish there were bigger storage bins because the small ones we don't use that much. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Paper goods are cheaper here than the regular grocery stores. These are located inside the regular aisles. There scattered in different aisles. I could have sworn these were in the back corner but there is a wine and spirits section. The door on this side I am not sure when it will open that is easier access. It is blocked. ~~~~~ The exchange and return merchandise is adjacent from the rows of cashiers. The check lines needed more assistance with cashiers because the lines I noticed were getting longer. I was walking towards the exit where security asked to see the receipt as others were passing us. I went to exchange something that was defective. The girl tried to put my money back on as store credit w/o asking me if that was ok. The "manager " NAVAEH was absolutely NO help! She created more of an issue. Instead of refunding me she ended up charging me again. WTF?! I literally spent over an half an hour trying to get my money back. NAVAEH smirked because of my frustration with her incompetence! I lost time I will never get back because of the lack of her staffs communication with customers.
