The employees at this Walmart are very rude and don't seem to want to help any customers. It honestly seems like they are there to collect a paycheck and that's all! They are very unknowledgeable about the products they sell and customer service in general. I needed help finding some glue and one employee didn't speak English, and another person sent me to electronics. I'm sorry that they didn't understand what Glue is but damn! I went to this Walmart to buy a television because it was closer than Best Buy, where I usually buy my electronics. I can honestly say I've never had a worse customer service experience. After waiting nearly an hour to find out they did not have the television I wanted, I settled with another model that was on sale. The associate who "helped" me had the attitude that she just worked there; had no knowledge of the products, no desire to help, and made me feel like I was inconveniencing her for asking politely that she do her job. I resent the fact that this is the closest Walmart to where I live. I believe that a well run Walmart can be a great asset to a neighborhood, however it's clear from the layout of the store, to the patrons actions that management must be very overwhelmed. This is one of those stores that you might walk into and think "they're struggling to keep the aisles clean". Really under-impressed and I don't say that too often. I would love to have given this Walmart a better review, and be prideful of a solid neighborhood Walmart - but I can't justify that type of review here. Walmart & Subway is one of the worst i've been to. People in subway never know how to make sandwiches properly. They have consistently messed up one way or another everytime i've been there. This time is my last time. Will never go back there again (would rather go without lunch than go back there to eat). Walmart store itself is so-so. Never stocked with anything needed. I do not shop at Walmart too often but have been twice in the past week. Some of the staff are not too friendly. But...... I really really lucked out when I was waited on by Tatayana in the infant department. ( I think she said her boss is named Dave). She helped me pick out car seats for grandchildren. She was extra extra helpful, knowledgeable and good-natured. She went all out to help the customer and this made a great impression and made the Walmart experience very pleasant. Absolutely the worst service I have ever seen in my life. I drove from Seekonk, Massachusetts, and called the Providence store. Passed the Dunkin'Donuts center, and they FInally answered the phone after 6 minutes of ringing. the female on the phone transfers me to generators, and the phone rings for another 2 and a half minutes, gets picked up, and hung up. Strike 2. I get to the generators, get blown off by an employee that's "on break." Then I call the store from INSIDE the store, and still no answer. I see two guys who saw me get blown off by the break employee, and tell me "Welcome to Providence Walmart." I proceed to tell them about my phone incident, to which they tell me,"they NEVER answer the phone here. They're customers ! Finally they spot a guy, (Dave, great guy, a 10 year veteran employee), he gets a manual pallet jack, and tows the 2 generators to cashier 18, who is now waiting for a supervisor to sell a guy a pack of Newports. That takes 20 minutes, 4 customers give up and find another cashier. Finally, I pay 636.00, and I leave. I really wanted to talk to the manager, but at this point, I need to get home, back to East Providence, RI. I looked at the website for the store, and you can't send an email to the location. If I did not need the generators, I would have not purchased anything at this location.The help absolutely have no idea on how to run this location. Think of how steamed I would have been for going there, if they didn't have the generators. That was the ONLY reason why I called ahead. And now you know the rest of the story. Anthony A. This store is pretty grungy and can be disorganized at times. Sometimes they don't have things in stock (for instance, they sell drugstore lipstick for 5 bucks, but they only had about 5 colors in stock all of which were opened by previous customers). Customer service can be nonexistent. I was interested in buying fabric and nobody was there to help me and cut the fabric. Everything in here is dirt cheap, so I admit that even though I never enjoy my experiences here, I still go back for their low prices. read more

Worst customer service! Today I went to buy a tv, and the people working in the electronic area were awful, it was almost like we were begging for them to attend us. They didn't help in anything and we had to wait for them for at least an hour for them to finally give us the tv. I went to walmart, (on silver Spring St.), to buy my daughter a couple of training bras. We went on 9/15/16 around 4:00pm. I was overcharged for a third bra set when I only bought Two bra sets. I brought this to the cashiers attention. She had no clue what I meant. I then brought my purchases to customer service. The girl there said it would be taken care of and kept my receipt. I checked my bank statement and needless to say, I was not reimbursed for the overcharge! I wont be back! read more
