We decided to not have dessert at lunch…read moreand come back because I've heard good things and there was a long line inside when I looked when we walked by. When we walked in, the was no longer a line and there was a reason. You need to come here early. I mean before 11am early. They will sell out. When we walked in, there were only a few donuts left, 1 row of crullers, 1 row of GF crullers and half a row of churro crullers. My husband hates crullers, but they're my favorite donut, so I thought I was the only one who was going to get one. I may have said this out loud and I think one of the people working felt bad for us, so she produced a box of gorgeous donuts and let us know that someone hadn't picked up their order and we could choose from this box if we liked. There were a few my husband would like, so we bought 4 of them. Holy moly! These donuts are fan-freaking-tastic!!! They were a little too big for me and kind of greasy to be perfectly honest, but they were also so soft and fluffy, with a crisp exterior. The flavors were bold and delicious and they were even good the next day when I ate my second one.

I stopped by on a Friday morning and it wasn't too busy. I took a look at the availability of donuts and ordered a Coconut Mocha (cake) and Honey Cruller (flourless). The coconut mocha is made of vanilla cake, vanilla glaze, toasted coconut, and mocha drizzle. It reminded me of Girl Scout Samoas cookies. I've gotten the honey cruller previously and always enjoyed it. PVDonuts is always a good place for donuts. I also liked that these donuts are a little smaller than the filled ones and less sweet.

There was a bit of a wait around 9:30am on a Sunday but I can appreciate that the sandwiches are made fresh. I got the Sunday Sandwich and wanted to swap the bacon for an extra egg; however, I later saw the worker charged me for an extra egg instead. I wish they allowed the substitution especially when the cost is comparable. The Sunday Sandwich was delicious and well balanced with fresh ingredients, perfectly cooked over medium eggs, super crispy hashbrowns, and the thin bolo bread which I was a big fan of. Chive On was a good try as it combined the savory eggs with the sweet honey and a little spice from the sriracha along with the creaminess from the cream cheese. If you're a texture person, you would love this one! From a price and fullness perspective, the Sunday Sandwich was the winner but both really great tries!

The food is generally very tasty, though occasionally you really don't get what you pay for. For example, when I get bagels there with cream cheese (which they charge $1.25 for), I will get almost no cream cheese on the bagel. (See picture for a recent example.) The space is a bit small and the wait can be a bit long, but the experience is generally worth it.

Every time we go in, we end up finding something new to try. Half the fun of shopping there is walking around saying, "Alright, what weird snack are we leaving with this time?" The store is clean, organized, and surprisingly efficient considering how busy it gets. One thing I really appreciate is that they actually staff the registers properly. There always seem to be plenty of cashiers working, so even when the lines look long they move quickly. You're not standing there questioning your life choices while someone argues over coupons for 20 minutes. The parking setup is also a huge plus. Having the garage parking with the elevator right up to the main level makes things incredibly easy, especially on busy weekends or bad weather days. Way less stressful than circling around crowded lots hoping someone backs out. The employees have always been friendly too, which honestly makes a difference. The whole place has a good energy to it. Quick shopping trip or full grocery run, this location just works. Definitely one of the better additions to Providence in recent years.

The cashiers are fantastic and they have a free parking lot... just beware, it can get a little packed during busy hours but still recommend. I ordered their cold brew with house-made brown sugar rosemary syrup, and it was so good! The rosemary adds a subtle herbal note that makes it stand out from your typical flavored coffee. It was one of the more unique coffee combinations I've tried, and the friendly barista made the visit even better. There were plenty of seats for parties of all sizes but this weekend was definitely packed. Regardless, we loved the chill barista and our orders came out pretty quick. The overall vibes were nice, bustling, modern yet cozy. This definitely feels like the spot to study, catch up with friends and spend a lot of time in. Though I came in with the intent to order coffee, the Coco Ube Matcha on their spring menu caught my eye. Light with the right amount of sweetness, I really enjoyed this matcha. The chicken quesadilla itself had all the right things going, cheesy, gooey, savory, meaty and flavor packed. Paired with a side of sour cream, this piece of heaven is easily one of my favorite handhelds I've had in a while. If it's your first time visiting or meeting up with someone, do make note of them having two locations!

It's a great-looking spot in RI with a small patio and some limited parking in the back, but the atmosphere felt pretty unwelcoming. To be honest, as a person of color, I felt like we were treated differently than other customers. While the person taking our order was fine, the rest of the staff and even the patrons were snappy and rude, which really killed the vibe. It's a shame because the coffee itself is actually incredible. You can tell they really know what they're doing--the options are expansive and every cup is clearly well-crafted. If you're just in it for a high-quality brew and don't mind a side of cold energy, it might be worth it, but the lack of basic hospitality makes it hard to fully enjoy. A total "vibey" spot on the outside, but definitely lacked the warmth you'd expect from a local coffee shop.
