Bad ass customer service ever I hate coming to Walmart but I have to sometimes it's the closes to my home

This Walmart is horrible. Let me give you a walkthrough. I parked my car with the fear that a random cart will roll into it seeing this had happened with a car nearby. I walk in and I get a whiff of something smelly, like a disgusting mop. The floors are sticky and I just don't want to touch anything. Employees try avoiding customers so they don't have to help you and try making a living wage with doing as little as possible. Their work ethic is almost non-existent. I say almost because they needed the leg strength to walk into the store. I came to return an item but to my disappointment you can only do it at the customer service desk which closes at 6 pm. There was a man at the customer service desk who saw me waiting in line but instead of saying "oh I'm sorry we're gonna close this department, he let me wait there the entire time behind the man he was helping. Then when the man left he finally tells me that he's not going to help me because they're closed. Not cool. Every so often I get a kind cashier at check out though. Customer service: poor Cleanliness: poor Organization: borderline average to below average Product availability: average Affordability: Good Staff friendliness: hit or miss. Suggestion: Management should have activities for staff to build morale. Maybe an incentive to provide better customer service. The hiring should also be a little more strict and get people with better work ethic. I think this would be a great start. And maybe pay them better? I guess that can be a great incentive. read more

This Walmart sucks. Came here for last minute Christmas shopping with my mom since we were in the area. She had bought a few items and she also wanted to activate some giftcards. It was even more packed than usual since it was the weekend before Christmas so the wait at the check-out line was about 15+ minutes. Once we were paying we were told that you can't buy giftcards at the regular register? WTF? I guess at that specific Walmart location you have to go to their Money Center or something like that? Any other Walmart you can active the gift cards at the regular register... I didn't even know Walmarts had a money center... So after already waiting upwards of 15 minutes to check-out we had to get in another long line at the money center just to buy the giftcard.... This location is NOT efficient. You'll be wasting your time here. I highly recommend going to the Dublin or Martinez Walmart instead... read more

I can't explain how sad it is on how lazy the workers are here. I enter the store for some socks and some plain white tee shirts which are both locked. I was looking for a particular item in the cosmetics dept. I asked the gentleman at the register for the product, by name. He did not know what I was talking about as he referred me to the Candy section..this is true, not making it up. I proceeded to ask the woman who was stocking items. I went up to her and asked, " Hi, can I ask you a question? " She turned around like I had called her a name, with such coldness. She did not say a word. I went to this Walmart customer service with the receipt to return a portable game that the game was missing yet the battery and the other cables and other accessories were there. I had my receipt and the customer service team lead start questioning me telling me oh you bought this on the 16th and today is the 30th and I told her yeah I work And I had no time to get here then she gonna tell me I should've came when I had a day if you were listening woman you would've heard me said I had no time to come because of work and then I asked her why am I put under all this scrutiny over an item that only cost $10 and I have bought two of the same games And I have no reason to lie and then she tells me I'm not saying you're lying but you put me under scrutiny, stupid you're telling me I'm lying!!so I just got upset with this woman and I just left and told her she can keep the $9.88 +tax plus the other accessories that didn't even have the game to go with it The only thing I have to say in conclusion is that why is it that when ever you give a position to a person of color they act like they're in charge it says team lead, but it doesn't say, team judge and jury and executioner! Worst walmart ever. Standing in line for a price check. Been waiting FOREVER for a manager. No one has the ability to contact the manager so we all JUST STAND HERE. WTF!!?? I would like to use the expression, "Movie Ghetto", when I'm describing this Walmart. When I grew up in Brentwood it was a once a month trip to Pittsburg to come to this Walmart. This was one of the first Walmarts around back then. It hasn't changed much. Its still dirty and disorganized and slightly dark inside. The prices are some of the cheapest around in regards to Walmart cheapness. Its just some of the clientèle are scary. And there is no specific race, creed or religion excluded from the scariness. Its all encompassing. That's why I say "Movie Ghetto." Once I saw a big fat white lady steal one of the cashiers wallets from behind the counter. She ran (tried) out of the store with security behind her and threw the wallet on the roof of one of the other near by stores. Coming to this Walmart is usually eventful. Walmart....well here we go. Walmart is convenient for the small things I need. Usually I will pick up some milk, eggs, cereal the usual stuff, like I said the small things, I usually find what I'm looking for. But that isn't the reasoning for my low star rating, and if you read my reviews you should see leaving anything less than three stars means I have an issue with the place. The service here is not great, the people never seem to have a smile on they're faces, and always reluctant to ring you up, like I work graveyard and usually when I'm stopping by this Walmart, I'm just in and out for the most part, not long at all, but the last thing I want to do is wait to spend my money. If you need assistance with something..as the Italian Mobsters would say "Fogee a bout it!" They will not help you at all. I could say more but I don't like being negative. I miss Wal-Mart so much I have withdrawals lol. This store is located on Loveridge/Leland Rd. Depending on which side of the plaza you drive in on you'll catch a wiff of that good ol Popeye Chicken. I gave this joint 5 stars. Yes, it's ghetto. Yes, people wear Pajamas while shopping. But guess what, this is Pittsburg and it is completely normal if you were born and raised here. The prices are unbeatable! I get all my household items here and some grocery items that are much cheaper then the typical chains. Toiletries are a steal too. I park near the garden center, less lines and faster check out. They have a Nail Shop inside as well and a Mcdonalds. Oh the tire center is an added bonus. You can get your oil change while you shop. Oh it's super lit on Thanksgiving. Best deals and it's very organized with plenty of staff. You'll see some seasoned staff that have been working here for years. Very friendly. read more

The most awful experience I have ever had in a Wal Mart. They rremodeled (at least since the last time I was in there) and the "beauty" aisle's are separated in a section with only one small opening to enter and exit through, which is the spot where the put a register for people to pay for their beauty products. Apparently some items can ONLY be purchased there, at least that's what it sounded like was explained to a customer as I was rushing out of there. Your cart barely fits, too crowded, and just an over all stupid idea. Luckily I was in and out quickly, and it was early enough in the day to avoid too many shady people. But it was still mad crowded and the aisles were loaded with go backs and display crap that was just in the way. Awful. Just awful. If I truly feel the need to go to a Wal mart for the savings, I'll venture to Antioch or Martinez. This Pittsburg location is just terrible. Terrible. read more

Lines are always long for both purchases and customer service. Store is not well kept up. It is always dirty/trash on the floor. One particular incident I did not agree with was my recent visit to Walmart. Alma from customer service helped me with a return but did not ask me if i wanted my return back on my card or in cash. She assumed cash and ran the transaction entirely through. I asked for it to be back on my card and she said I was supposed to tell her before she finished the transaction. First off, why am I supposed to say I want it back on my card (which I clearly had in my hand at the time of refund). They usually ask if I want it back on my card or in cash. It's not my job to tell them. They're supposed to ask before assuming. Or if that's what they "usually do for all debit purchases", make it known. read more

So this Walmart is in a big shopping center. The parking is always super full but very dirty. The produce looks nothing like what was posted on yelp. Some stuff is not really stocked and the store is a little dirty overall. They always have limited staff working. Prices are somewhat low but the quality is not really there either so you get what you pay for. Overall if you can try another store this should be last resort. read more

Good gosh customer service ... after calling from two separate phones and being put on hold for a total of 40 minutes for a CSM to see if my wallet was at their store, I decided to drive over to be thrilled to find only two people standing in line at customer service. Andrew was taping some nerf style guns back to their package and essentially cleaning up after what may have been a rush of exchanges/returns I wasn't present for - but his sense of urgency was so much more than non-existent. The associate running the register (no name tag) just didn't look like she should be at the customer service counter ... don't get me wrong, she seemed very thorough and efficient with the customers, but it takes more muscles to frown than it does to crack a smile. When it was finally my turn, she opens the drawer on her right (no big blue wallet), she knocks on the cash room door, calls next in line and then pages for a CSM to the customer service counter. I then step to my left and as one customer finishes up and the next one comes up ... the associate rudely asks if she could remove her item from her bag and then as the customer removes it from the bag, she asks if she checked in at the door, towhich the customer said she had not ... so she had her take five steps to the man standing at the door (who did NOT ask this customer to stop for her exchange when she came in) to get her item scanned ... saying that there's a sign at the door that says to stop here for exchanges (I'm telling you, this lady would NOT work for me EVER) I've now been standing here writing this review through five customer refund/exchanges and starting on the sixth and still no repeat page for a CSM nor has one called the customer service counter or come by to provide customer service ... I did watch someone from the cash office go to lunch (not mad at him) and someone go to the front end with a cash bag (wasn't mad about that until she started pacing back and forth across the exit side of the registers) ... wish I had looked at the time when I got here so that I could tell you how long I was here. Finally asks Steven (man standing at the door) if he has a walkie and to radio for a CSM ... seriously?! I know that it's Black Friday, but it's not busy (and I KNOW Black Friday busy) - it's just steady and I know my wallet is my responsibility, but c'mon folks ... if I had gotten someone to answer the phone, I wouldn't have driven over here ... ended up not having my wallet, but if you've read this far you have to admit that this was ridiculous. I don't think the shopping experience at Walmart has ever been really pleasant. Not on the employee behalf. But the CUSTOMER behalf. The set up sucks in the store, everything is locked up, you gotta buy cosmetics in the cosmetics dept. however I do respect the employees for the sh*t they have to deal with on a day to day basis. I only come to this Walmart as it is convenient for me. Unfortunately last night while shopping I heard a customer who was EXTREMELY rude and disrespectful to the two men in electronics, belittling them, talking down to them, shouting so loud you could hear her in the toy department. My husband was buying a game and as we waited in line, while I felt bad for the two employees i don't like to get into other's business - until this crazy lady decided to say something I FELT was extremely racist to the Mexican employee, Jesus. (She was yelling shouting screaming demanding to speak to a manager and the two guys were extremely polite and respectful despite her relentless yelling and disrespect.) then proceeded to say to both men who were latin, "WHAT DONT YOU UNDERSTAND ENLISH?" I snapped and immediately stepped in and called her out on her disrespectful racist comment. Then she proceeded to call me ghetto, and said I charged at her. I recorded her at that point for my own protection she did in fact try to lie and say I "charged" at her. Why it took the manager so long to come, who knows.. i understand people need to take breaks and lunch but HELLO! You have all these security guards and your employees do not have a right to request them to escort irate customers out of the store? Finally a manager walked up on the two of us exchanging words and asked what happened. I told her exactly what was said to her employee, an I went about shopping. I hope and pray the manager stood up for her employees and asked her to leave the store. I rated this store based on the customer service of MOST employees and the stuff they have to deal with on a day to day basis. Examples: customer service, doesn't know Mobile Express. They say they don't use it, but yet there's a sign that clearly states mobile express. What is the point? Yeah, this Walmart is not the best at all for one it's not in the best area, parking is horrible. The lines always seem to have like only two registers open and a million people. There are some sweet employees that I've encountered. But then therE are some that will get ignorant with you if you do not show your receipt. I picked up an online order for curbside pickup recently at Walmart Pittsburg. Also needed to do instore shopping. I hadn't received order ready confirmation email, however, so when I went to pickup item Samantha, store employee, said she would be pleased to pull the item ASAP. She recommended after I went thru the check out with other items to simply pull to the curbside, she'll run out with online item. Samantha was professional, friendly and competent. This location sucks! They need more help on the registers, this is a busy location and to keep the demands of check out movin' get more f'ing people on the registers. You'll find most of your staff on the floor doing jack nothing at all. No wonder why Walmart has a bad rap, you get exactly what you pay for. Consider earlier business hours for this location, open like 6am or earlier you'll generate more revenue- DUH! My worst experience was a month ago when I came to this location at 11:30 pm. They close down the registers at exactly 12am. No joke, so if you're already in line at 11:57 pm and it hits midnight your sh*t out of luck they will not ring you up. NO LIE. I made the cut and checked out a minute before closing and the people after me were not. The person at the register just ignored the rest of the patrons and closed out her till. Okay. This Walmart isn't as bad as it seems. Parking lot is in major need of repaving. I came here on the 1st of the month and it was like a busy bee hive in there. Because of this, I didn't want to stay too long and keep it an in-and-out procedure. I came here for one thing: a fanny pack. Yes. A fanny pack. My school requires us to wear a fanny pack during clinicals to hold our blood pressure cuff, stethoscope, our little book of cheat codes, and other stuff. They sold the fanny pack here for 5 bucks, and let me tell you, that was 5 bucks well invested! I love that little fanny pack. Dear Fanny Pack, I really don't care if you're unfashionable, you make me look professional and you keep my pockets empty.
