We stopped in on a Saturday morning, in search of local honey after reading a recommendation on Nextdoor. They keep the honey by checkout; ask for it on your way out. There was no way we were going to leave without picking up other groceries - the variety & quality of produce is better than most stores in Concord, and definitely at better prices. It was nice seeing so many seasonal fruits & veggies. A very relaxed shopping scene - not too crowded & pretty easy to navigate with a personal shopping bag. This is my FAVORITE produce market. I can get a full cart of produce for $40. Everything is clean, organized, and they are happy to help! Recently they had 3/$1.00 corn. I bought a case for $15.00! They have 25 lb bags for beans, lentils, onions and more. They have fresh and dried herbs. Dairy products and daily Specials. They will order anything you want. And they have a reduced $1.00 bags. Rude cashiers, customer service sucks! I only went to buy a few spices that I needed and didn't bring cash didn't read the sign of min purchases. As I was purchasing my items the cashier said I needed to spend 5$ or more or they charge .50 cents for a credit card purchase. I said ok let me grab one more item that I can use. I drive past this place all the time and never thought much. With Contra Costa being in shelter in place I started wondering how I can support local businesses as well as avoid the long lines at standard grocery stores. Bill Bly's has an amazing assortment of fresh herbs, produce, salad, Asian and tropical produce, tofu, and fresh eggs. There are a few dried goods like rice, canned items, beans, and pasta but I haven't tried that yet. On my first haul I got Eggs, Kabocha, Carrots, Plantain, Herbs, Papaya, Celery, Philippine mangoes, Chinese eggplant, Tomatoes, Bell peppers, Potatoes Dried chilies. All for $35! My second haul today was more expansive and included specialty items okra, cherries, dragon fruit. I will make this my regular place. read more

We moved into the area a few months ago; came here by recommendation from my cousin who is from the area. I was greatly disappointed, especially after a lot of hype. Not a lot of grocery selection but little of what they did have was good; the prices, however, not so great. I was pleased with their wide selection of sweet potatoes and yams, and impressed that they had several sliced in the pile so you can see the color inside. $6 for a small head of lettuce?? Yikes!!! Overall, I'm glad I came to give a local shop my business, but the only way I'll be back is if I need more yams, which is only when I'm making baby puree food. read more

I love this market. There is parking on the side but it can fill up quick. There is a ton of fruit and vegetables to pick from. All the fruit that is in season is very well priced. I'm pretty sure that everything here is organic. They also have a wide verity of beans and rice. The vegetables are very fresh. I liked that they have prepackaged vegetables. They also have a lot of fruits you can't find in your local grocery store like guava and dragon fruit. They have a small dairy section. They do have organic eggs. I think the prices here are very reasonable and I rather get my fruits and vegetables here because it seems to save me a lot of money. I highly recommend this place or any organic local produce market. read more

Unfortunately i came to the store and was looking at the strawberries and i asked the employee if they had more strawberries in the back and the owner said how many do you need i said 12 strawberries and his like let me check he pulls out the boxes and i grab a box because that is all i needed and he says only one box if I would of known you only needed one I wouldn't of taken out the boxes you wasted my time i was like im still paying for the product plus i was buying other stuff from the store. He was extremely rude and i was like nvm i placed down the strawberries and the Tajin and left the store i came back to get corporates number he said i don't have. I go (went) to Bills Market often. This was my 1st trip there during our shelter in place. I do go out for essentials once every 2 weeks, that's it. I have horrible asthma and have been home since the beginning. During my trip just a half hour ago I noticed that ALL THE EMPLOYEES have their mask below their noses and some had mask completely down! I also noticed they were allowing customers with no mask to enter. This is very dangerous. I will no longer be spending my money here. It's sad because I prefer to shop local. read more

I just bought two grocery bags full of produce for $14. All the employees were friendly and helpful.

Rude employees! I asked my mom to return some cherries I bought because I could taste the pesticides and the employees were so rude to her and bunched up on her. I regularly shop at this outdoor market and spend at least $60-$120 on the produce I purchase and have never returned anything so I am appalled at the rude customer service. Please train these young girls to act more professionally since they are dealing with paying customers. read more

Great place for produce! It's easily convenient from Highway 4, just about a mile north from either the Bay Point/San Marcos exit or the Bailey Road exit. All the produce I've seen has been ripe and in good shape, but still clearly NOT screened for beauty like the stuff at major supermarkets - for example, the kiwis aren't all perfect little eggs; many look more like a squished handfuls of PlayDoh. But my, oh my is it all tasty! You'll see supermarket standards (kiwis, melons, lemons) but also some less common Asian and latin items - take note of the several chili pepper options! read more

This place is easy to access from HWY 4 and located on the main drag of Willow Pass. They have plenty of parking and its easy to get in and out.I was impressed with the wide variety of fresh fruits,veggies and herbs. I also found that they had plenty of staff that seemed not only to keep busy but also were very friendly and helpful finding a few specific items. They actually had many fresh Herbs and even a basket of fresh Dragon Fruit ! The prices are reasonable especially compared to all of the local big box stores. The only lower priced veggies even in close proximity is the .99 only store on Somersville Drive all the way in Antioch. I appreciated that they seem to be very customer oriented and also have a small trailer in their lot serving authentic Mexican and Desserts that use fresh fruits and juices. I have been to Bill ranch for while, the price is fair but today the customer service is surprisingly rude. I found an unknown herb selling in the counter. I purchased them without writing down the name. After I got home, I discovered I never saw this kind of plant before. I called Bill Ranch and the Filipino lady (the one in the counter) picked up the phone. She was on the counter when I picked up the unknown herb. I asked her if she could find the name and she was being lazy just simply said she only sees mint and turmeric. I said it is not mint or turmeric. I told her I came by just 2 hours ago how can she did not see the the item, it is sitting in front of her. She was pissed off and I heard some staff next to her told her about name in Spanish. She just wanted to get rid of me just said this is some kind of Mexican salad green. I said I saw a name written on it. She did not want to check and just said, "Mama, I have to hang up the phone". I was shocked by what she said. How can she assumed I am mama? I guess all the customer called if it is man voice is "papa" and woman voice is "mama"? she herself looks not that young, a mama herself.
