I have come here the last three Wednesdays in a row, because there is not much else in the way of grocery stores in this area. Every time I have been here there have been multiple Jehovah's Witnesses out front. At least three women, if not more, with their posters and pamphlets just next to the entrance and right in front of the no loitering sign no less. The store appears to be allowing this. On my first few visits I was in and out quickly because the store is smaller than most Raley's and the stock and items are limited. However, today I had to deal with a staff member and they were not very friendly or helpful. They called a manager to help and he was even less helpful. I will be finding somewhere else to do my Wednesday shopping going forward. read more

This store has gone down hill. Every time I go in there, there's one cashier and no courtesy clerks, if I have to bag my own groceries every time I come in here, I would like to get paid for it. I was in there this morning around 9:45. The one cashier paged for another one. She looked at her and turned away and wouldn't come, the courtesy clerk walked by. She called him. He just kept walking and went outside. She had 12 people in line. She paged three times and nobody came. This will probably be my last time shopping here after coming here for 22 years read more

Awesome customer service. Had the new paper bag handles rip right off and break the glass bottles that I had in there right in end of the cashier. They quickly had some one get towels and replaced everything that got ruined. Super nice and friendly about it! They even helped another customer while thos was all going on. This is basically the only grocery store I go to in the area. It's calm and well stocked. I had a small issue with something I purchased today (hey it happens, nbd). What the heck is wrong with this store? They can never keep any staff in the store. They're always understaffed. Always long lines no matter the time of day. New workers come and leave within a few months. It's almost Christmas. I'm used to grocery stores having tons of baggers around this time. There were none today. Also, I always see homeless folk collecting their carts for them. Are they somehow bribing the homeless to do their carts so they don't have to hire anyone else? The people who are there have been there over ten years. Oakley deserves a good grocery store and this is not it. To be fair, neither is luckys. Go to the Brentwood Raleys. They have almost everything you need to cook a meal. I say almost because they don't have a lot of international food selection. But when I'm in need of simple seasoning or ingredients I know I can go to Raley's. This is also a place to find seasonal items for holidays such as Thanksgiving and Christmas. I give this store a 2 out of ten. The store is all good, but i want to report an employee that works here. Her attitude was very rude towards my mother. She was racist to her, as my mother is black. Here's what happened. My mom asked for her to make a sandwich and the first thing she says is "We don't have no bread". Then my mother is like "Oh okay." Then my dad, which is white asks for a sandwich then she completely gives him the sandwich. She works in the deli area. Purchased their premade prime rib dinner for Christmas at the Raleys in Antioch. The cost was $100. The meat was definitely not prime rib, it was overcooked, tough, and my guests laughed and refused to eat it. Spent $100 on a dinner I am giving to my dogs. It was New Years eve and Nick assisted me with my groceries ! Very kind young man. Seemed dedicated to Rayleys by working on a day when people are usually closing up early. I see potential in the young man hope he gets scheduled because I am there 4-5 times a week and the lines can be long. Antioch Restrooms Assistance Sucks!!! I've tried several times to use their Locked restrooms and each time Assistance was very bad. I must've Pressed the button 10 times. Expensive groceries do not necessarily mean better quality. For the amount of money this store charges for food, you would expect consistent quality, but that has not always been the case. I came here because it's close to my home and they have a huge selection of products. They have organic food that is hard to find elsewhere and generally high quality meats. Their customer service is pretty good too. What greatly disappoints me is their lack of quality control. I've seen everything here from expired products still on the shelves to moldy produce and even spoiled meat. I've had to return things so many times because of poor quality, and there really is no excuse for that with these insanely high grocery prices. My last experience there will probably be my final one. I hadn't been to Raleys in close to a year and I decided to do some shopping for produce and meets there. Sometimes it's hard to tell the quality of the produce when you're in the store, especially if it's bagged or boxed up. I was incredibly disappointed when I got home and tried their produce throughout the week. Their apples were clearly old and squishy. Blueberries I bought here were soft and moldy. Same with the grapes. I had to throw so many things out. Normally, I'd go in with a receipt and try to return these items but I'm sick of doing that with this store so I'm done with them. I understand how difficult it is to run a grocery store during the pandemic, but there's no excuse to put expired products on yourselves or to not rigorously check the quality of your produce. For the prices this place charges, there's no justification to shop here. Maybe you can stop by if you're in the mood for a convenient packaged snack or if they have something you can't find anywhere else. I really hate to keep taking my business outside of Oakley but until a quality grocery store opens up here, that's what I'm going to have to keep doing. The only store I patronize regularly in Oakley is grocery outlet and occasionally I'll shop at Lucky when I'm not in the mood to drive to Brentwood. Avoid this grocery store and shop somewhere else. No excuse to be paying this much for subpar groceries. read more

We love Raley's for their unique items, as well as great deli meats. They were ranked in the top by Mercury News (local paper) for their decadent and delicious cinnamon roles. And, they are the only store on the planet that seems to know single-leaf burger/sandwich lettuce, triple washed, just makes our weekly lunches a delight. Good sales frequently enough, and variety deep enough, to round out our shopping cart routinely. Very happy customers! read more

Despite having been dissatisfied once here for an issue at the bakery all the staff I've encountered here are always nice and despite the long lines people complain about they open up as many registers when they need to. I like the selection of Raleys, but it's just not worth it when I can get the exact same brands somewhere else. This review goes out to Jesus, the Butcher. This is my first time shopping at this Raley's as I usually shop in Brentwood. Let's start off by saying this is the day before Christmas Eve which you already know sucks to be out and about doing last minute buys and grocery shopping. I had a terrible day today and stopping at the grocery store was the last thing I wanted to do but filet mignon was on my mind. My fiancé called the brentwood Safeway to ask the butcher to put a side two 9oz filets for us just to find out they were sold out. I was in the area of oakley and decided to try Raley's. I walked into the meat section and noticed two filets left. They were only about 6oz each. I looked to my left and saw a man, later identified by name tag as Jesus stalking chicken. I said to myself, "screw it, I'll just see if there's any in the back." I asked him if he had any more filets in the back. Jesus stop everything he was doing and told me he would check. Jesus came back out and told me he had more but it would need to be cut. I so graciously asked him to please if it wasn't too much of a problem. Jesus responded, " Not a problem, just give me a few minutes." A few minutes later Jesus returned with the two of the two most beautiful symmetrical wrapped 9oz filets I have ever seen!!! I told him how thankful I was for his assistance. Jesus made my day and brought all the holiday cheer back! I will be calling tomorrow to speak to the store manager to give Jesus a commendation! Updated review. So disappointed today when I ran to Raley's to grab a few things, one of which was Kingsford Charcoal the blue and white bag. $15..99 for one 15.4 lb. bag! I have never seen charcoal that high in my life! While in the store I checked Target's price $7.99. I asked the Raley's staff if they match prices and they said no they did not. I pointed out the huge difference in price but nope. Nothing. So I paid for my few items and left. Fortunately for me I called Lucky right down the street and it was $9.99 there. A couple bucked more than Target but still not the outrageous price at Raley's. I am seriously considering telling my husband to shop elsewhere during the week when he does our shopping. . How many other prices are like that. (This was spring 2019) Updated: Spring 2020 - Rona. Several staff members have gone out of their way to help which is much appreciated when you are a health compromised senior. There are very long lines unfortunately so I pay for delivery. It's pricey but safer. There was only one register open early the other morning and a very, very long line. Right when it was my turn another opened up. Free bags as we cannot bring our own. Very clean and does not have the terrible odor like Lucky. I only go there for the chopped broccoli I need because Raley's stopped carrying it. Prices are relatively the same and much better beef. read more

These are difficult times. I'm blessed they are right down the road from me. I ran in at 8:10 pm to try and grab some milk and cereal and see if there was any meat. I asked a worker if the other side door was supposed to closed since I couldn't get in that way, he informed me they closed at 8pm due to the restrictions during the quarantine.Doh! We laughed at each other and I ran through the store and threw items in my bag. When I got to the register they were all smiles and kindness. The Raileys crew have always been helpful and kind but as things are extremely stressful, they have put themselves in harms way to constantly stock and be there for our community. This Raleys is nice for a variety of reasons: 1. They are usually very clean and friendly 2. They carry many natural food products and vegetarian/vegan brands 3. They do to your car delivery. You order online, pull up into the designated parking spot, text them and they bring it out to you. (You are supposed to determine a specific window of time though that you're coming). read more

I heard something but she didn't turn around. So I asked again and still heard something but no recognition. She didn't turn around. So this time I was a little louder and she turned around and yelled I'll be with you in a second. So I responded and said I asked you twice for help and said twice I couldn't hear you. She was extremely rude. I left and went to check out and mentioned this to a checker. I then asked for a manager and he was very helpful and gave me the pasta for free. I appreciated that. I tried to purchase something and it was priced incorrectly and I was denied a sale. When I asked that you have the wrong item posted whith that price you have to honor it. The teller said, here at Raleys we do not do that. When I informed you that it is illegal to tell your customers that and you say that the entire brand doesn't do that, it can get you in trouble. This review is for the floral department. I recently got married and I went to Raleys for two arrangements 1 bride Bouquet 3 bridesmaids bouquets and 4 boutonnières. And I'm so glad I found Sam she is AMAZING! She took all my ideas and help me put it together so everything would come out amazing. Sam worked with me and my budget. She also did everything to reassure me everything would be perfect because as a bride you are so stressed out about everything else. She definitely knows what she is doing as a florist. She went above and beyond for me on my special day. I consistently got comments about how amazing my flowers looked. The flowers definitely put the final touch on my wedding. I can't thank Sam enough how amazing the flowers came out. I loved them and definitely will be back for all my flower needs. Thank You Sam. read more

Worst experience ever for a 30$ 1/4 sheet cake. I came from out of state to throw my sister a surprise bday party and I always go through the Antioch raleys for my cakes so I decided to go through Oakley since we were close by. BIG MISTAKE. I called and specifically gave the lady the spelling of my sister's name but when I picked up the cake the next day, it was spelled wrong and the bakery manager said she didn't even look over the info or cake until it was picked up and that the bakery decorator was named Valerie and was a different person than I had originally gave my order to. Ok so they don't don't double check important stuff like that? And the cake was put together awful and was super dry. I was so upset and embarrassed. The Raley's store in Oakley must be the stepchild of the company. Shelves are often empty of popular items and very few choices for most food items. I only go to the Oakley Raley's if just need milk or bread, but if I am going to buy all of my groceries I go to the Antioch store, shelves are well stocked and lots of choices.
