I have been going to the Raleys oakley store for the past 15 years and have always enjoyed my experience BUT in the last 3yrs it has gone DOWN HILL! Always out of products , Always short staffed therefore SUPER LONG LINES. I went in today to buy 1 item, 1 checker and line was 8 people deep. Myself and one other person walked out. So My Daughter visited Raleys Tuesday night between 8 pm and 830pm . She was waited on by a female cashier with dark hair . When the cashier waited on the person before her she asked the customer if they wanted a bag they did. Then my Daughter was next she bought a gallon of milk and a medium Greek yogurt. She did not ask my daughter if she wanted a bag. Next customer buys hot buns however the cashier ask him if he wants a Bag . My Daughter was so upset. She told me and my Husband she is never shopping their again. I went on Monday shopped 5 dollar deals before I went to work. I had good Customer service. How very disappointing . read more

I have be been a customer of the Oakley Raley's since the day they opened. I have seen good and bad employees through the years, it seems like the past several months there are very few good and far more bad employees. Absolutely no sense of urgency, it's like they're there you might as well be too. A week ago I had a checker who was completely baffled at ringing up a cantaloupe. It was as if it was the first one she'd ever seen in her life. The organic cucumbers were all slimy and moldy and a week later it was the same. It's a real shame but it looks like the hiring and training aspect at this Raley's really needs to be evaluated. And please don't use COVID-19 as an excuse for poor customer service. Places like In & Out still can find, hire and train good employees. Raley's should be able also. read more

I love this store but the ladies who work the deli are slow, rude, and inefficient. Putting away chicken or putting out salads always comes first to helping actual customers. We're constantly told to wait while they stock or take phone calls. It takes forever to get a sandwich made. The guy in the bakery has come over to help me a few times because he noticed I'd been waiting way to long. If there are 2 people working then they both should not be making sandwiches, especially when there is a line of customers waiting for other deli stuff. read more

My rating is for the pharmacy. Terrible service. They have a major lack in communication skills. I tried having a prescription filled here that was called in at nine am. I called several hours later to be told there was an issue with the insurance authorization and asked them to give me a call with the status after everything was figured out. I never heard back from them. Fast forward to 6 pm..... I show up and they tell me it has to be ordered and ask if I want them to call another pharmacy. So... they do and unfortunately it ended up being one that our insurance didn't contract with- not their error... just a lot more frustrating. I will never be back. Huge waste of time and frustrating since the medication needed was for my little guys breathing issues. Very apparent that they could not care any less. Never again. Save yourself be hassle and go else where read more

I really am a fan of Raleys! This particular location seems to be the least busy compared to other Raleys stores that I have visited which is nice, because less crowds of people while shopping, always makes my experience so much more enjoyable : ). And not to mention, this particular location seems to have THE MOST down to earth, friendliest staff I have ever encountered. They have a great vitamin/health food selection with a fantastic wine selection as well. They are pricier than other supermarkets though, they really do have some great sells going on that you really have to just keep an eye out for. As far as selection goes, it's not the largest selection compared to other locations though, they have the basics. The service however, truly is the best service I have received from any other Raleys location. read more

I am really cheap and rarely ever shop at Raley's unless I just need a few things and don't want to waddle thru gigantic stores like Winco. This location has a great staff and store. Any of the staff is helpful and friendly when you need to find something or have a question. The deli staff is friendly and fast. The deli sandwiches are pretty good as well (not as good as Safeway sandwiches though....). Great store! Just wish it was cheaper lol read more

I love shopping here! They are clean and the fruit is always pretty unlike many of the "bargain" stores. Prices high? Check their sales they don't require you to have a coupon you just get it! You also don't have to remember to punch in your phone number to get the sales... Simple is better! Oh and unlike Winco and some other stores I'm not afraid to take my 11 month old sweetie into the store with me afraid that some crazy person is going to ram their cart into me!!! Their baby food and cereal is typically on sale which is good for me since thats a large part of my shopping! And would you believe it... There is still someone there to bag your groceries and if you want them to they will follow you to your car and load them up! Ahhhhh what a relief when you have three kidlets and its tough enough just getting them all loaded up and seat belts on! read more

Updated review. So disappointed today when I ran to Raley's to grab a few things, one of which was Kingsford Charcoal the blue and white bag. $15..99 for one 15.4 lb. bag! I have never seen charcoal that high in my life! While in the store I checked Target's price $7.99. I asked the Raley's staff if they match prices and they said no they did not. I pointed out the huge difference in price but nope. Nothing. So I paid for my few items and left. Fortunately for me I called Lucky right down the street and it was $9.99 there. A couple bucked more than Target but still not the outrageous price at Raley's. I am seriously considering telling my husband to shop elsewhere during the week when he does our shopping. . How many other prices are like this?!? read more

Raley's Supermarkets are a favorite of mine - Quality Meat & Produce, Excellent Product Depth, and Amazing Customer Service! This location delivers all of the above, but not at the same level of the location in nearby Brentwood. Still, shopping at this Raley's certainly beats any other grocery store in Oakley! read more

The girl up front was bagging our groceries when she drop one of the eggs from our 18pk of EX Large eggs. The egg breaks to the point that she had some of the whites on her hand. She opens up the carton and puts the egg in. Then she double bags the eggs so they don't leak.... THEN PUTS THE EGGS IN MY CART. REALLY??? When I asked for a fresh carton of eggs, she argues with me and tells me that the egg was "Only a little Broken". I just said seriously? I asked for another carton of eggs which she did go and get, but with a lot of attitude. I will shop here again... It is my neighborhood store and this is the first "BAD" experience I've had here. But I'm still not happy with her or how I was treated. OH!!! BTW? She did not wash her hands from the egg whites either. She wiped them on her pant leg which is so disgusting to me. Raleys is the only store I will go to for my grocery shopping. Tonight while ordering lunch meat from the deli my husband and I had the opportunity to talk to the two girls that work behind the counter Malaya and Britney and thank them for being there every day during this whole pandemic for this community.There's nothing but nice and courteous employees at this store and I really think that we should appreciate the hard work and the service they provide for us. This store completely lacks any management or leadership. The employees are rude and unprofessional. They constantly have long lines that no one seems to care about. The managers will stock shelves nearby while customers suffer. They have a position that stands at the front door that supposedly cleans carts but normally is on the phone or leaning on the wall. There is zero customer service at this store. Poorly trained young people do not know how to bag groceries, overstuff the bags and NEVER offer assistance. I used to accept paying more for groceries because of the clean store and professional staff. Not any more!!! read more

Every time I have shopped at this store I get charged for more things than I bought. I get it, mistakes happen, but when I then have to wait 30-45min every time to get the refund, it's ridiculous. My quick in and out turns into an afternoon wasted. One time the money may have not been worth the time wasted (the other it was), but it's the principle of it. My wife and I love shopping here. Plenty of parking, decent isle space, and always have carts inside. Besides the fresh fruit and vegetables and cleanliness, the thing I love about this supermarket is that the customer service is always great. OK, I have been shopping here ever since I moved to Oakley. It is smaller than other Supermarkets but that is what I like about. The employees there are friendly and helpful unlike the other supermarket down the street which I won't name. I am actually writing about the deli, I felt like a sandwich but did not want to go to Subway so went into Raleys, my first time getting fresh sandwich. I had the Turkey and Artichoke and the turkey meat was pulled from the breast and not sliced meat. It was very good, better than dedicated sandwich stores. If you have not try their sandwiches, give it a try. Besides you could chat up conversation with other shoppers while waiting for your sandwich. read more

Anyway, this place is still a good store, it's still my main store, and although the pharmacy is a bit slower and old-school, they get their work done and I still use them. I came in to Raley's a little more than 24 hours before I needed our cake. The woman at the bakery (and all of the staff) was very friendly and helpful. I told her what I wanted and she basically guessed everything I was going to want on our cake from filling to decoration to message on cake. It was nice to not have to explain so much especially with all of the other things on my mind in preparation for the next day. The cake was ready the following day and I picked it up with ease and I was in and out of the store very quickly. THE CAKE WAS DELICIOUS! Everyone asked me where it was from and was raving about how good it was. It was so nice to not spend a fortune on the cake and have everyone enjoy it as much as they did. Thank you! I was in the Oakley store last night around 5:30 went to the Dell to pick up.some chicken when I witnessed one of the Deli Employees a Latin woman yelling at the other associates so loud it was embarrassing to watch and very unprofessional. I was about to leave but then John approached me and apologized for his fellow coworker and was very kind. My experience with him was very delightful if it wasn't for him I was going to leave and go somewhere else but because of his excellent customer service I will be coming back. His service was so good that he was even able to talk me into buying your strawberry triple delight and it was surely a delight. But as far as that other woman goes she needs a serious lesson in how to talk to people and her professionalism was probably the worst I have ever seen. She was so in grossed in yelling at her coworkers that she didn't even acknowledge her customers. If i ever see her in my next shopping experience i may just walk away. I just don't feel comfortable even dealing with people who treat other's the way she does. read more

Wow, I was passing through town today and stopped to get something to eat for me & my daughter. The person at the bakery counter wasn't exactly rude but was abrupt and acted like I was bothering her. The woman at the deli counter was so rude it was stunning. I worked in the food service industry for years and I am not a difficult customer. She was hostile and sarcastic and acted like every word I said was incredibly stupid. I really don't understand why. I'll find somewhere else next time I'm in town. read more

This grocery store has been looking better and better within the past 2 years. My wife and I stopped going to Winco and Luckys and been maintaining our support to this store. EVERY EMPLOYEE we encounter have great personalities and are always on the go. The lines are short and I believe there hasn't been one time where I needed something and it was out of stock. What happened to this store? I realize times are difficult because of Covid but this store has gone down hill (we've been going here for 28 years). Other stores don't have near the issues Raley's Oakley has. Shelves are empty, not due to hoarding but items are no longer carried (makeup, certain toiletries, etc). The clerks now for the most part are very young, inexperienced, confused, and seem miserable. Only 2 checkers (1 was express) today were open and the lines went down the aisles. Why was the pharmacy discontinued? The condition of the interior is deteriorating too. Even though Raley's is expensive, we kept trying and haven't given up on Raley's altogether as we will go to Brentwood Raley's, but no longer the Oakley store. What a shame :( read more

This review is specifically for the deli department. Almost every time I go there and the older ladies are working, I get the worst customer service. I went there a couple days ago with my daughter (4/18/17 approx. 6pm) and one older lady working was helping a customer with sandwiches (the customer left to continue shopping while her sandwiches were being made). There was another older lady that was working the meat section as I approached. Next thing you know, the lady working the meat section completely disappeared. She said nothing, just POOF...gone! I was the only customer standing there, waiting. The lady making the sandwiches just looked at me as I waited, just glanced at me with a serious look and continued doing what it was she was doing. No "we'll be right with you" or "it will just be a moment", nothing! I'm surprised too because I consider myself "old school" and I was taught to give better customer service than these ladies older than me were giving. In fact, the meat lady has dodged me twice now, yes...same lady,two separate occasions. I think the younger generation is rubbing off on them??!! Smh Anyway, all I wanted was a small potato salad and I probably stood there 10 minutes before someone came to help me. Finally, Andrea came out from the back and before washing her hands, she said she would be right with me. She was very friendly when she took my very small order. I would give her 5 stars however, the other 2 ladies need to learn to be a little friendlier and give better customer service! This was unacceptable! The store itself I love! I shop here often, especially since the parking lot is better than Lucky's. ;0) read more

The produce never looks like the one in the picture. Their prices are 30 percent to 50 percent higher , (they say because they have baggers) yet 2 out of five trips i have to bag my own food because they use one bagger for 3 to 4 cash registers. The produce at luckys is 50 percent fresher and 15 to 20 percent cheaper!! everyday! when you get someting on sale its still higher than the average price everywhere else!! read more

Update: I am changing to 3 stars because Raley's corporate fixed the problem. Thanks, Chris for responding to my review. I called and they credited my Something Extra account for the bad items. This is good customer service, and I'm pleased that my money was not wasted this time, but there is still an ongoing shelf rotation issue at this location, so for now I'm not able to highly praise the store. I've had issues with prepackaged sausage meat (Aidell's), all organic bread brands I've bought, tortillas, crackers, organic cheeses and tofu (although they're no longer selling the tofu brand I buy), and several other items. Shoppers, just know that you need to check expiration/sell by dates carefully at this location. read more

Was just in Raley's at the deli section. We wanted to get some sliced lunch meat. We have normally only had stand in the line to order sandwiches. A man walked up asking if we were in line. As I said we wanted deli meat, the girl behind the sandwich counter yelled down the deli counter that there was only one line for the entire section. She was very rude when she said it. The man looked at me and commented how rude that was and walked away. I agreed with him. We got our lunch meat and I asked the young man the name of the girl at the sandwich counter, he said Cece. Again she yelled down the deli counter, 'Cece, my name is Cece'. As she glared at me. (My daughter thought she said her name might me Stacy.). I have gone to this Raley's for 27 years and never had a Raley's employee be so rude. read more

I do not usually shop here because it is pricier than other grociery stores but i ran in one day after work to get some meet for dinner and the butcher (an old white haired man i didn't catch his name) saw me looking at the meat cluelessly and he offered his help he helped me choose the best cut of me and then offered to season it (which is a free service they offered i did not know that) and i got the fajita seasoning WOO it was soooooo good. He also cut it into fajita strips for me! He was so friendly and nice i will continue to go there for all my meat needs!! read more
