Grocery shopping is not on my list of fun but with that said, I'd always prefer to do it at Trader Joe's! Firstly, in any store location you're surrounded by employees who seem to like working there. So much that it eminates to helping customers anytime that's needed. I never feel I'm bothering anyone they're just helpful, friendly and professional. Secondly, the fruits selection is fresh and I'm not sifting through moldy berries or bruised bad apples. Lastly things rotate seasonally so it keeps me wanting to try new things. This is one of the busiest Trader Joe's I've ever been to in my life. On a random weekday at like 11am, I couldn't believe how packed it was. Luckily, there was a nice flow to the store and everything moved along nicely. I was even able to score a few of the Trader Joe's mini totes. I loved the flower selection here, I grabbed a few and made an arrangement for the friend I was staying with in the area. I love Trader Joe's, they have a variety of items you can purchase. This Trader Joe's is also a lot bigger than a few that I have been to. As I was walking the aisles a nice young lady. Asked me if I needed help. I love that. They have great customer service. The aisles are nice and clean and the produce department had a lot of fresh vegetables. read more

Well stocked and clean store. Parking is definitely a challenge and people not paying attention, suggest shopping late weekday mornings if possible. Our Trader Joe's staples are: instant coffee, japanese snacks, frozen vegetable fried rice and seasonal treats. Fresh produce is hit or miss which is stupid considering how pricey cost! For instance, green grapes looked sweet but tasted sour like picked too early. Cotton candy grapes already looked brown and mushy. Bananas go from green to brown in two days! Come here for snacks, go elsewhere for produce! read more

I love shopping for snacks at Trader Joe's. The truffle fries chips are my top favorite. The chocolates from candy to nuts are addicting. The corn bread mix is a must have too. Great customer service - I was waiting in line and an employee name Mike nicely grabbed my cart and took it to his register. Most staff normally just yell out "next in line." Love Trader Joe's, don't really love the parking lot. It would also be nice if they opened maybe an hour earlier. :) I would come here more, but when it's busy the parking lot is a madhouse. It's really not a good location at all, and people drive pretty carelessly in it. I would recommend going in the evening or in the morning when they first open. Selection is great, they have a ton of unique items for an awesome price. We get groceries for the whole week for less than $100. At Safeway we spend upwards of $150. For a small store, they have a great selection and it's kept well stocked. I would come here more if they were a little closer and in a better location. Still recommend for the prices alone though! read more

Trader Joe's it pretty much the same wherever you go. Great selection, good prices, unique items and friendly staff. Special kudos to the staff at this location during the pandemic. Where most other chains have completely abandoned social distancing this store is still going strong. Limiting people in store, sanitizing all of the carts after use and the staff even came out and offered everybody waiting outside bottles of chilled water free of charge. I make drive out of way to come here (20+) miles versus my local Safeway because they have Delicata Squash in the Fall and generally just a better selection of all the things I need. read more

Yes they are open during COVID19, but be prepared to get in line. Don't fear the line maybe 15 people deep but it moves fast. So been to this Trader Joe's a few times and I can usually find what I need. But the last couple weeks they've not had the scallion pancakes which I love love love. But this time they had it in stock I was so happy I stopped by. It's almost fall and they have pumpkins for sale and they're gorgeous looking pumpkins. Anyways, each time I come the service is quick and cashiers are always friendly. Oh so if you bring your own bag you may have to bag your things outside at a bagging table station due to COVID19. happy shopping! read more

I love coming to this Trader Joe's! The staff is so friendly and should something I want be out of stock, they're always so helpful letting me know what's going on with it whether it's been discontinued, shipping backup, and even when I should return to get it fresh off the truck. Their almond croissants are delicious! Just follow the instructions on the box and perfection! :::chef's kiss::: I don't even bother buying them from the coffee shops anymore since it's much more cost effective to get them and make them on my own. The only reason I removed a star is because I always find bugs in the produce (especially the broccoli). I know it's because I buy organic and that's the cost of not using pesticides but would be nice if they pre-washed all their produce before putting it on the shelves. Usually, a Trader Joe's location has one word that describes them all-cramped. Cramped parking, cramped aisles, cramped check out areas. This location in Brentwood? Wonderfully spacious! What a breath of fresh air to have a TJ parking lot with ample parking spaces, navigable aisles and not standing on top of one another at the registers! This location is now officially my favorite for all those reasons and more. Their staff is super friendly and seem to know their regular customers. I'm new to the area but even so, they are so nice and fun to chat with while checking out. It gets busy and shares a parking lot with several other businesses that have a steady stream of customers, but I've never had issues of finding a spot. I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience at Trader Joe's, especially with the manager, Greg, and one of the women employees. While I understand that people have to do their jobs, there's a way to do it without being rude. I called ahead on my lunch break to ask a question and got a stern answer from the person on the phone. However, when I got to the store, the lady at the cash register, who wasn't even the person bringing me up, butted in and grabbed the item right off the counter. She was extremely rude. I got one answer on the phone and then a completely different one when I arrived, only to be made to feel like I was in the wrong for their employee's mistake. I spoke to the manager, Greg, hoping for a resolution, but he was equally rude. When I let the manager know the woman was being rude to me, the lady immediately denied being rude and started arguing with me even as I was walking out of the door!. To make matters worse, I asked for her name and she wouldn't give it to me, nor would the manager. I've been going to the Trader Joe's in Walnut Creek my whole life and expect a certain level of customer service as I consider Trader Joe's one of the nicer grocery stores. I visit Trader Joe's almost every other day, but the manager and that woman employee has terrible customer service. It would be appreciated if they learned how to treat customers with respect. read more

With groceries on the rise it nice to know you can still walk out of Trader Joes and not feel that you were robbed at gun point at the cash register. The store is clean and always fully stocked with everything and more that a person would need. The employees are always so helpful and extremely nice. Trader Joe's has all your grocery needs: meat, produce, vegetables. And they seem to have a bit better quality then your average grocery. But beyond that, there are some items that I sought for that are exclusive only to Trader Joe's: -Cookie Butter -Speculoos Cooke -Butter Tofee Pretzels -Organic Vanilla Ice Cream Oh that vanilla ice cream; my son snacks on them like no other. And I also find myself choosing this even over the premium brands. Trader Joe's eclectic selection of items are the uber delicious and what's keeping me coming back. Love Trader Joe's and this location. Everyone is friendly and so talkative when checking out. I don't get that at other shops. Everything is reasonably priced and some stuff is a super great find. My current absolute favorite is their lemon tarte and their carne asada meat is the best around and I've tried a few. Also every time I've had my daughter she wants the small shopping cart and has a hard time letting go and they are so nice at letter her take it to the car. We have been going to our local TJ's for over 10 years and must say the selection of foods, liquor and other goodies keep improving. The service is great and it reminds us of a super country store with many things and products you cannot find in a regular supermarket. The workers are very friendly and helpful as well. The only problem we have is the parking which can get a bit troublesome. All in all a great store worth going to. read more
