Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing from the start. I asked a question in the produce section, and the employee's response came across as unprofessional and uninterested, as if he didn't want to be there. The produce itself was far from fresh--many of the tomatoes looked like they were on the verge of spoiling, and the prices didn't match the quality. As I continued shopping, I noticed that overall, prices were noticeably higher than at WinCo. At express checkout, one of my items wouldn't scan. I asked the cashier for help, but she seemed annoyed, like I was inconveniencing her. She had been sitting there on her phone and only responded after I tried multiple times to scan the item myself. I wanted to support a local store, especially given how many businesses in Antioch are closing. But when customers are treated with indifference and rudeness, it's easy to understand why that happens. I hope management addresses this and reminds staff of the importance of good customer service.

The corn on top of ice was super fresh and sweet. At 0.33 cents a cob it was a bargain (Limit 6). It boasted a vast produce and frozen section (heck most areas were huge) and good prices. While it was packed and lines long, they had a ton of register open so the lines moved fast. They also have a small pizza shop selling slices etc. The store only takes cash or debit. The parking lot is vast and we had no issues despite it being Friday at 5PM.

Lastly things rotate seasonally so it keeps me wanting to try new things. Money also goes a longer way here for my household which is huge these days! Our faves are their crema empanadas, quesadilla, muffins, and the alfajores! It's a must. Also, we recently gave their taqueria a try and went straight for the pupusas revueltas. Let me tell you, I was surprised, they were so good! The size, flavor, and price...you can't beat it! I picked up 8 for under $4 each and my whole family was obsessed. He never asked how my day was or anything like that just asked what bags I wanted and then proceeded to freak out over his walkie talkie not working because he didn't want to bag and had a line forming. He spoke a lot under his breath about this issue. When it came time to bag anything and everything is thrown literally into bags. I just spent $320 on my 6 little bags of groceries and you're treating me like crap for it even though that's how they have jobs. Then a clerk comes up and he proceeds to ask about hearing him over the walkie talkies, meanwhile the new clerk blows her nose, messes with her tissue a few times, puts it in her apron and starts touching my food items!
