I walked in for a gift card and they had a good selection, however I noticed some other aisles giving COVID vibes! Things were missing and I was a little concerned. The thrifty ice cream seemed well-stocked so that was a good sign! Also, the store was pretty clean. I like this Rite Aid as it's wide and easy to navigate. The parking lot has plenty of parking for shoppers. The staff seem jolly at this store, I was greeted with a smile. When it was time to leave, I didn't have to wait to pay, I simply walked up to the register and was assisted.

The pharmacists are okay but the assistants have zero service knowledge. There was only 2 people on the line while one assistant was helping a customer. There were lots of pharmacy staff inside but only 1 was helping the customers in line. Another one just came back from a break (probably) but guess what she did even when she saw that there were people in line waiting... she did something else other than help those in line, and had to be told by a pharmacist to help out before she finally went to the counter. But guess what, her counter had a small problem (a drawer can't be fully opened) but there was 1 more open register that she can use... yeah, she didn't do it. So while the one assistant who was now not helping the customer ahead of me because of, I don't know, was typing something on the computer and looking on his phone alternately, the poor guy ahead of me waited (he could been here for more that 30 minutes because I was waiting for more than 10 minutes before an assistant helped me). So I gave them the information that was needed according to the text they sent me, but lo and behold, the assistant was asking me what I needed... so I asked her if she can see anything on their system that required me to go there and provide what they needed... and she said yes but she still had to ask me to make sure... REALLY???? I already told her that I got a text and that I am being asked to provide my insurance, and which I already did, and she still has to ask me why I was there? It's a pharmacy, duh! And as it is, they did not work on my prescription even if the text I got says that I just needed to provide my insurance info....

They were both Very nice and very professional. In the end, it turned out that my insurance would not cover it, but including tax, it was only $41.00. I already had the medication to go inside, and each urgent care visit co-pay is $50.00, so it was still a win for me. The pharmacy is hardly busy and the staff keep to themselves I usually come in here for snacks or goodies, (shoutout to the cute rubber duck collection) and I'm out. All 3 employees were helpful. Went I went to checkout I asked the employee about the process for using an eGift Card. She asked if I needed help. She placed and processed my items in the checkout. I thank CVS for being my oasis in the SJ drought of commerce. If you're entering the valley from Ramona Expressway or Sanderson this is the first store you'll see aside from the gas station (which is technically not a store). CVS has eye glass cleaner, self-checkout kiosks, and amazing Tahquitz High School merch. Of course, the pharmacy and over-the-counter meds are the main event, but I thought I'd give a shoutout to the other merch you'll find here!
