They gave me part of my meds. I had to wait a long time. Then after I signed I actually opened the bag to only have 21 out of 90 of my pain meds! They said cause I signed for it they couldn't take it back. And they could refill in two weeks !!!!! 21 is only one week. Wtf I'll have to call the doctor and fix it. I don't think so! They just stoled it. I'm going to report them this was my first time using this place. they ripped me off. and they didn't have all of my order! I waited for over 30 minutes. EVERY TIME. Not kidding when I say EVERY-TIME! I have a prescription I have to call to make sure they saw it come in and start making it every time, yet when I get here to pick it up they always say, " we are still working on one" when in on the phone they say yes give us 15-30 minutes. I always wait an hour just to be safe but that's not enough... I always find myself waiting... ALWAYS! If they say a certain time it should be a certain time I get if they are back but if they would be honest and say it's going to be ready in 2 hours that is fine but saying it will be ready at one time and still having to wait is annoying especially if your in pain waiting for your meds all day. read more

This review is long due, since my family has been fortunately using their service for a few years already but I never had a chance to leave a review. So here is my honest and humble opinion based on my experience. Nuevo pharmacy provides excellent service. Honestly the best pharmacy we have ever used. Michael and his team are extremely reliable, personable, precise, friendly, and very very helpful. They are always willing to take the extra step, go above and beyond for their patients. Even though we moved an hour away from them, we are still happily making the hour drive because they are worth it especially after all the trouble they go through to make sure their patient's needs are met without us ever having to worry about anything. They are always ahead on medication refill request, insurance approvals, medication is always in stock/available, and ready upon arrival. Most importantly is that their patient's best interests and well-being is their #1 priority and above anything else. You get treated like you are a member of their own family. I wish all pharmacies held the same level of standards and loyalty to their patients as Nuevo pharmacy. Nuevo pharmacy definitely deserves so much more than 5 stars. Nuevo pharm just went through a change of ownership, the business model for the new owner is so much more well suited for the customers and the community than the previous. If you're looking for people that care about your health and personalized empathetic service, this is the place for you. Besides being so helpful, they are respectful and private. The wait time for a fill at Nuevo is so quick compared to the big box corporate pharmacies out there, most places ask you to come back later for pickup but not Nuevo - Not even if you have a weird off the wall request for something that other places have to order in. They will also try to help you with prescription cost to maximize your savings, try getting that help from a corporate pharmacy. It was better that you didn't respond over half a decade later, that goes to show you about the bad service I was initially talking about. I had a long list of unread messages on my Yelp account because I never knew I had messages, and one message was just sent to me couple weeks ago (5.5 yrs after I left my initial review), from the owner of the pharmacy, which reads: "When you called nuevo pharmacy write in all the facts you called and asked to speak to the owner I asked what it was about you said about buying the pharmacy so my response was write a letter and bring it in to the pharmacy don't be making just stuff up and my customer service is more than on point for you to wanna say nasty words" In my response to this^, to Mari/Marina/Maria/owner, whoever you are, if you think those words are "nasty", thats just a REALITY check because everything I said is all true. Sorry, the truth hurts. No need to message me 5.5 years. Your message to me also did not mention the fact that YOU HUNG UP ON ME while I was asking questions. That, right there, is in fact, bad (customer) service. If you did not like that I called to see if I can buy your pharmacy, just say you're not interested, etc. NO NEED TO HANG UP while I was talking to you, especially in the tone you talked to me in. Wow !Excellence is an understatement. I'm scrolling on my yelp after doing some maintenance and I ran into excellenceDr. Michael Soliman is a phenomenal man. With a phenomenal pharmacy, with phenomenal employees. I've been to this pharmacy no more than 3 to 4 times now. Every single time , Dr. Soliman is eager to explain and wanting to help. I noticed it the very first time I got my prescription filled there. I was referred to them from Apple Care Urgent Care from across the way. They said Nuevo Pharmacy was the place to be for all things medicine. They were fast and they were efficient. No lie was told! super side note I was a mess the very first day I went. Around the holiday time 2022 sick and ready for the bed. I was like NO! Soon as Dr. Soliman asked could he help me with my prescription as a consultation . Looking back now that was rude of me. If you see this Dr. Soliman, please forgive me please charge my head not my heart. This pharmacy is the worst pharmacy you can ever go too. They refused insulin to a patient that lives off of it . She almost got a stroke and we had to take her to emergency care. The technician are super unprofessional and don't know how to do their job. The don't keep patient information to themself and talk crap about their patients to other patients. This is a fast service pharmacy but the only down side that they automatically assume that you are Hispanic when you enter, and the girls working in the pharmacy don't stop talking as if they are in a swap meet. Not only do I use this pharmacy personally, I entrust the care of my clients to them. Always helpful, always willing to go above and beyond to help others, always professional and courteous. Jason (the owner) is always available and present. He partners with the organization I work for because he has a passion to help those with mental illness. Not all our clients have medical coverage and he charges very little for needed medication. I return there myself, as a customer, because they are passionate about serving the community. Marina (pharmacy tech) is helpful, funny, and personable. I have never waited more than 24 hours for a medication that may have been out of stock. And they deliver, which is convenient. Nuevo pharmacy staff is the best and easiest to deal with when it comes to picking up my medication. At the other big pharmacies (like cvs or Walgreens or Walmart) the pharmacists are always way too busy to answer my questions or always seem annoyed with me when I needed further explanation on my medicine. My doctor suggested sending my prescription to Nuevo pharmacy and I'm never going anywhere else again. Dr. Soliman was very thorough and seemed happy to explain everything to me and answered all my questions. He was so nice and patient. For starters they assisted me with a coupon on one of my medications which has allowed me to purchase it for free now with my insurance. On the other hand the store itself is always well stocked and their customer service is Superior. Also today they personally delivered my medication without me having to request such service. After having been with a large chain pharmacy for more than 10 years ( same one) , I decided to switch. The jury is still out- I did like the idea of a smaller pharmacy to go to. Have to take shorter hours into consideration- but that is doable. Have been with them just a few months now- So far unfortunately the automatic refills on chronic condition meds have still not been able to come about. Also, I was not able to refill a prescription they said ( I had called to refill in the morning) because it was not due until the next day. It was 15 min. before closing- and they wanted me to come back the next day. In the end I paid cash and they agreed to fill it. I have MS and am very to the minute and to the day with all my meds so I can prevent going to other MS meds for a while and in the meantime deal with relapses as good as possible. Luckily they do let someone pick up the meds for me at times, because there are times I am not able to walk well due to flare ups. In either case, since there have been some (minor) issues, and people are very friendly- I am waiting to see how doable the "smaller" pharmacy compared to a large pharmacy- and open hours 4 1/2 days only/ shorter days- will be. Often times I have to leave work early if I am working because they do close at 6 PM, and on Saturdays they have a 1/2 day and closed on Sundays. Being the Regional director for a medical group (RVSD & San BERN. counties) we often discuss the issues we have with pharmacies for our patients, so I shop around and spread the word. Since I might have (considering) to cut back on working hours soon due to my illness, the hours of the pharmacy won't be as big of a deal for me- but possibly some of the inconsistencies with filling my RXs is still a slight concern. I like the idea of supporting small businesses as well. And for that reason would like to stick it out with them as well. read more
