I was really impressed with the number of employees filling the shelves and stocking the fruits & vegetables on Sunday about 9 a.m. I found most of the items I needed here. Barilla Al Bronzo pasta was not on the shelves, or at least I didn't find it in the store. I asked employee in produce about purchasing an individual banana, as their display near the door had Organic Bananas, but they were bundled. He told me where to find the loose ones in the store. He was polite. Then I stopped to ask a few different employees in produce where to find a whole watermelon; then another employee in produce where to find sweet potatoes. All 3 employees were helpful. Went I went to checkout I asked the employee about the process for using an eGift Card. She asked if I needed help. She placed and processed my items in the checkout. The San Jacinto's Wal Mart in-store shoppers could be as helpful to the spark or Instacart shoppers as they would be to any other customer since we are shopping in place of a customer with Walmart plus or Instacart membership. Instead especially the older women tend to ignore us when we ask for help or play dumb by giving us responses like "you know as much as I do" which is not true. I even had one associate that was to work the cosmetic section where all the nails and makeup is locked up and do something else when I told her I needed help and started doing something else like straightening up in the shampoo section . After waiting patiently for a little while I had to go where she was and explain to her that Inal doing a Walmart order and the customer wanted some artificial nails and she resonated "I guess" and followed me over to where they were. When I finally got to the customer's house to deliver her items I apologized for the delay and told her that I had to wait for someone to open up the nail section. Customer has told me she has ran into the same issue in that section with a long haired older woman and that's the reason she rather have delivery since she doesn't have the patience to put with that kind of "nonsense." Well today another incident happened with an older woman in-store shopper if she could help me get a small baking soda since she had just reached one for her order and she straight up ignored me but luckily Albert an associate that is often in the grocery section Hailey helped me and another lady who also needed help get some top shelf items. Then I thought maybe the older woman in-store shopper is just too busy to help but that thought left quickly when I saw her started up a conversation with someone about holiday plans. I don't know if these in-store shoppers see us their competition which they shouldn't since I am shopping on behalf of a Walmart customer and should be treated law such. Thank goodness not all the in-store shoppers I've had a couple young guys go out their way to be helpful like searching the (Hemet Wal Mart location) back room for extra cans of pumpkin filling the day before Thanksgiving. read more

Five stars for associates Belinda and Kaitlin.. . The store was busy and I was pressed for time. Had to buy two large items that I needed to transport to a bus stop . So I was looking for like a cart that I could buy so I could carry the heavy merchandise and I asked about five associates and then the 6th time Caitlin helped me and she was patient and she did an excellent job as I was anxious and pressed for time then was checking out the Linda also was excellent she helped me lift the heavy items that I was purchasing and helped me assemble the dolly that I bought.. We were in this establishment yesterday and waiting in a long line for self checkout. It was m husband's turn next, when a black man (it's relevan) walked in front of us. This was between 2:40-2:47 p.m. My husband (older white male) let him know where the line ends. After a few words, the man proceeds anyway, without going to the back of the line. The lady (who is also black) who was watching over the self checkout machines, sees this happens and my husband thinks that she is coming to help assist him. Instead she throws him a glare and proceeds to grab the person behind him (who is Mexican) and has that man cut in line in front of him. When my husband spoke up, she rolled her eyes and brought him over to stand behind the man, who originally cut in front of him. It was clear that she was extra nice to the other non Caucasians but was vehemently rude to my husband. I (older Mexican Woman) was also treated kindly by this employee. My husband is a very sweet, mild mannered person and this is first time I have experienced, what truly felt like a racist act against him. The way she treated him was obviously blatant and deliberate, and he was definitely singled out. This may be a mild experience to some but was enough to rattle my husband from ever returning to this establishment again. If this were to be any other race and there was a white person who cut in front of another race, or the white person behind the other race was blatantly helped over another non white race...all would be up in arms! In the past, I have heard an employee say to another, in irritation "What does this white girl want?" when a customer was approaching them in one of the craft aisles, as they were putting away stock. Now most of the time, I pay no mind but these two incidents combined have really stood out. Growing up, I have experienced racism against my own skin color. However, knowing how it feels, I don't believe that it is right no matter what your background is! My suggestion to others reading this, is to not stand for it. Be a squeaky wheel and report this type of behavior, if you see happening in any establishment. We go to Walmart to shop, spend money and hopefully receive decent customer care. read more

When you do grocery pickup watch the items carefully, they're frequently damaged or missing. The employees and supervisors could care less. Walmart sells delivery services, even by drone! but if they forget something in the order you pay for, they won't use the delivery service that they already have to make up for their mistake. Grocery pickup seemed like a good idea for disabled people, but I think it's not worth the headache. And don't try calling customer service, they offshore all the calls and you have no idea who or where you're talking with. This store wants you to go find the items in the store, do self check out and bag your groceries, and then go through a receipt check as you leave. Tire Center. The lead person is the rudest person to be in a customer service role. I noticed that she was very rude to the car in front of me. Then when I had a problem with them not being able to order me a new tire in which i had bought on walmart.com with the road hazard. I ask why and also asked her why she was being so rude. She replied that I was yelling at her and I was not I was irritated for sure but not yelling. she replied, she does not get paid enough to be treated this way and called me a Karen. I have been a Service Manager in the past for car dealers. I have never heard of anyone ever calling their customer a Karen to their face. This woman deserves to be fired. This Walmart is a pretty nice one. It is not the largest around here but this one is my preference. The employees here are super nice, I just wish they had a handheld tool so when a customer asks where a specific product is they can tell you specifically where it is rather than a general "it should be over there" sending me in circles. A specific example would be when I was looking for Margherita Hard Salami. I asked two separate employees where it was located at this Walmart. One directed me over by the beef jerky section, the other directed me to the cold meats section of the store. It was not in either section it is kept in the deli unrefrigerated. I usually buy about 5 bags each time so they lost out on $50.00 each time I asked. Not much for them but you get the idea. I wish the "powers that be" with this chain would dedicate a Keto/Paleo/Atkins isle. This store is always clean and carts are readily available, but they could also use a good cleaning. I would also like to see more of a variety of fresh vegetables specifically turnips. I thank you for keeping human cashiers, specifically when dealing with your Walmart app and the savings catcher process. My last comment for you is that you need to provide free wi-fi for your customers using your app in the store. It is quite cumbersome when the signal level inside your store is almost nonexistent. I bought multiple boxes of Kellogg's Cereal from this store paying full price. There was a packaging issue with the boxes which I brought to the attention of Kellogg's. Graciously, they insisted on sending me coupons for 2 replacement boxes. I tried to use the self-checkout today, but was told I needed to go to a manned register to use a coupon. I put my things back in the cart and found a long line to get in. After 10 minutes the cashier rang up my items, but said she couldn't honor the manufacturer's coupons. She called a manager. He said Walmart no longer honors buy one get one free coupons. I said, this is not a buy one get one free, these are replacement coupons for a product I bought from your store. He said WALMART does not let anything leave the store for free. I told him, people walk out of your store every day with free items. The only difference is, I have a coupon from the manufacturer. He said, that's a different problem. We will not honor these coupons. You need to find another store. So, I guess I will go shopping elsewhere.
