These pictures were taken on a Saturday and the attendance here was abysmal. Hemet Valley Mall is a reminder of how city officials have failed the citizens of this town and refuse to bring in and support new businesses. The city said they would put a second story, never happened. They also said they'd build a new iteration of this mall a couple miles away, never happened. Here we are years later and nothing has improved nor happened. It's a damn shame that this mall was remodeled as some of the last surviving businesses NEED support but the city is not given these hard workers the time of day. The main businesses that are popping are Hobby Lobby, Magic Brow, Hot Topic, and JCPenney, that's it. Yes, not even Claire's is bringing people in. Years ago, when people still had hope in expanding or getting a "new mall" this mall was pretty busy... not anymore. It's depressing coming in here and the fact that malls are on their way out in certain parts of America, doesn't help this awful situation. I will never totally hate on this mall as I've had good times during community college here and it's super clean. The restrooms here are a lifesaver! If you're in Hemet I will not discourage coming as there's businesses to be supported. However, I want to be honest with you about the current climate of this mall. Barilla Al Bronzo pasta was not on the shelves, or at least I didn't find it in the store. I asked employee in produce about purchasing an individual banana, as their display near the door had Organic Bananas, but they were bundled. He told me where to find the loose ones in the store. He was polite. Then I stopped to ask a few different employees in produce where to find a whole watermelon; then another employee in produce where to find sweet potatoes. All 3 employees were helpful. Went I went to checkout I asked the employee about the process for using an eGift Card. She asked if I needed help. She placed and processed my items in the checkout. I went over the amount of the gift card and she handled the whole process without my help. She took all the stress out of shopping for me.

I always think she's the only employee that works as a cashier because every time I go in there, she's the only one working the register. HEMET IS a Senior Community. So it's a really big bummer to have to stand and wait in long lines, when you are older and have aches and pains! I would like for once, to walk into the store and there be a miracle that there is more than just one person working the register!!! But it hasn't happened yet!! and no, I will not use the self check out, I'm not an employee. I believe they're hoping that people just use self check out so that they don't have to hire more employees, but it's not gonna happen with me. Either way KUDOS to Adrianna she is an incredible employee and a true asset to Ross.
