Walmart in Hudson WI received a prescription directly from my clinic that they sat on for 3 hours knowing full well they could not fill it as they were out of the medication. I fail to see why they did not call me so that I had time to find another pharmacy to fill it. I had to call several other locations (not Walmarts) to confirm availability, and when I found that Walgreens could fill the order, was asked by Walgreens to have Walmart Pharmacist to call the other store's pharmacist to transfer the prescription. Keep in mind, they suggested this because it was already close to 7pm and delaying would mean I may not be able to get the medication same day. When I respectfully asked the technician, she called over to the remaining pharmacist (I saw the sr Pharmacist leave for the day), and he must of assumed I was on the phone as he laughed, and said loudly, "not going to happen". I just stood there and since no one said anything else, I said "I have a sick child and you cannot fill this prescription, I appreciate that this is unusual but can I get some help?". They said no, that Walgreens was asking them to do their job. Agree, but your attitude did not help in the situation. Currently looking for a way to contact someone higher up to report the issue. Also, why did you sit on my prescription for 3 hours??? read more
