I thought that with the switch from Walgreens to a private company, the service would improve. NOW THAT THE SERVICE IS NO LONGER CENTRALIZED IN HUDSON, WI--where only a few prescriptions were filled at the pharmacy--BUT INSTEAD COMES FROM A DISTRIBUTOR, where they package the medication in a way that's completely unnecessary and expensive for the company, since it comes in a plastic bag, and inside that, another paper bag with the medication. That costs money for the company, packaging and shipping and time for the customer. They keep making things more expensive for them and call themselves businesspeople. I have worked and lived in four different countries and at pharmaceutical companies, and none of them had such a huge bureaucracy at the pharmacy level. read more

I constantly have problems with the pharmacy. My latest was a late refill. I called last Monday and the pharmacy tech said it will be ready Wednesday. Wednesday came and went, on Thursday I called for an update. I was told my insurance was out dated. I asked what insurance they were trying to use and it was my 2025 insurance. Then after further research they found that they did indeed have my 2026 insurance card on file since the beginning of the year. At this point I'm told the prescription I need is now being processed. Five days later the Walgreens app shows the prescription is delayed. I am completely out of medication at this point and the phone system for Walgreens just verifys it is in process. So, I need to select more options thru the phone system and repeat all of my information to get thru to a person. I'm finally told it should be arriving later today. This experience is becoming the norm when dealing with Walgreens pharmacy. I have started moving my prescriptions to another pharmacy, to avoid constantly needing to check up on my prescription status. read more

When my family members go to pick up prescriptions, they are NEVER ready. I always have to go pack for 10-15 minutes because no one has filled them yet. The prescription I am picking up today should have been ready yesterday. The last time, we ordered another prescription, when we stopped to get it 4 days after having ordered it, it STILL wasn't ready. Even more fun is that they could only give me 8 of the 90 pills because they were out of them. This wouldn't be so irritating except that today's visit, which should have only taken a few minutes, took 35 minutes because I had to wait in line twice, the second time needing to explain that they only had a few pills. For recurring prescriptions, we get text messages asking if we want a prescription refilled. That's a nice service except the pills are STILL never ready! I assume they are short on pharmacists but the service is so, so poor. read more

Very very dissapointed with the lack of assistance and service. Walgreens Hudson Wisconsin is so poorly organized. After waiting for more than 30 minutes and calling twice, I could NOT get my refill. The first woman who answered was OK even she could not help me and transferred me to Customer Service in Florida where they could NOT do anything. That person transferred and when someone answered after many minutes of waiting, she or he hung up!!! So, I called again and there was a nasty woman who did NOT let me talk and without respect, she constantly interrupted me and talked and talked without listening. It was a very frustrated and horrible situation. I do NOT have my medication!!! read more

We have been to this location several times while in town, albeit not for prescriptions, so I can't speak to that. However, this store is rarely busy and is well-stocked with all the goodies that you could possibly need for over the counter meds and any toiletry or basic household needs. As always, Walgreens is a bit pricier for household goods and random pantry items, but have a great selection of meds and generic meds at a lesser cost. read more

Pharmacist who administered my COVID and flu vaccine is in the wrong job. He was abrupt, rude and never even made eye contact with me or smiled. He is not a person who should interface with the public, especially if poking people with needles. No wonder Walgreens has struggled as a company. They're hiring the wrong people or at the very least not training appropriately. read more

When you say my phone wait for the pharmacy will be 2 minutes, and after 5 minutes, I am disconnected, that pisses me off.

This is a fairly new Walgreens right off Carmichael in Hudson. It's really easy to get in off the freeway and right back on the freeway. Perfect location for quick stops in the morning. I haven't had any prescriptions filled here but I do come here when I need OTC drugs, makeup or other personal care items. There is always a good selection, the stuff is stocked and checkout is quick and efficient. Lot's of parking. I always get a spot right in front. Before 8 am seems to be the best time to go there. I have never had to wait to check out. Location is the primary reason I go here. You can make several stops at neighboring shops while you are there and hit 2 birds with one stone (like Bruegger's for breakfast, Papa Murphy's for pizza, Caribou for your java fix, Target, Culvers for a butter burger). The store is always nice and clean and during the winter, the walks are shoveled and the lot is plowed. I can't say the same for other locations I have been to (like in Woodbury). read more

Something is not right with the pharmacy. My husband was given someone else's prescription. When he called to tell them, they apologized and said they'd have the right medication ready soon. He had to tell them they should call the other person and sure she was not taking his medication. They never asked the other persons name. They were not concerned about it, so he called the other person (their name and number was on the bottle) to warn her. At least their apology included 5000 bonus points...because that will make it better. read more

I phoned the store to inquire about a specific item. A male employee answered the phone and did not identify himself. When I asked about the item in question, he said, "I think we have..., but I don't know about...". I asked if he could please check. He said, "I guess I could. Hold on." and hung up on me. I immediately called back and asked to speak with the manager on duty. After relaying my experience, I was told that she would sit him down and let him know that was unacceptable. I'll never know if a reprimand ever happened or if there were any consequences for the poor customer service or not. The manager with whom I spoke did, however, provide possible other store options within Hudson who might carry the item in question. That added a star to this review. read more

Today (11/07/2020) I was at Walgreens in Hudson, WI. While finishing my order, the staff were getting ready to break for lunch as they do everyday at a specific time. A woman approached the desk and asked for her order. The Pharmacist politely explained to her that they were breaking for lunch for one half hour, and that they would help her after lunch. To make a long story short, the lady was rude. To the woman that created a scene. Ma'am, in this day and age of intolerance, you were loud, obnoxious, rude, condescending, not understanding, and appeared very entitled. Your lack of patience, understanding, empathy and simple manners was embarrassing for all of us as human beings. The pharmacy staff politely explained to you their schedule, why they couldn't make an exception, and you still treated them like you were owed something. Yes, it's true they could have made an exception. But when do the exceptions stop? They have scheduled lunch breaks and it's not as simple as it may seem. People work hard and don't deserve to be treated like a P.O.S. These people politely set a boundary. In the end, I hope you were having a bad day. If not, your behavior is exactly what is wrong with society today. I want what I want, and I want it now. Inconvenient it may have been, but a person is entitled to eat. Also, I made a point to inform the store staff on my way out about your behavior as you complained to the manager. I would have talked to you myself, but I'm not sure I would have remained as graceful as the staff at the store. I have had to leave and come back before. Sometimes it sucks, but it is what it is. Throwing a fit similar to a child doesn't solve anything. To the Walgreens staff: You were professional, understanding, kind, and most of all graceful. Thank you for that. Understaffed. Waited over 15 minutes to pick up a prescription. Once the staff was available they were very kind and helpful. There just needs to be more of them so customers don't need to wait so long. read more

They have really been slacking. Whether it not be having prescriptions ready or not fully filling them. I just waited at the drive through to pick up a prescription for fifteen minutes and the line was not moving so I left to run some other errands. Came back about twenty minutes later to pick it up(after another long line) and was informed that they had it ready but it was on the shelf too long so they would have to refill it and to come back in twenty minutes. Well the only reason it was sitting on the shelf too long is because they were taking forever. I was there on time to pick it up but they were moving at snail speed. The last time I went to pick up my prescription they told me they filled it for the month. I got home and opened it up and there were only five pills in the bottle. Stuff like this is always happening and it is an extreme inconvenience. read more
