Talk about a clinically lazy organization. I went to midwest radiology for a series of hip x-rays…read moreto see if I had an issue with the hip joint itself. What we received was a 3 line report. In it, it stated right hip has advanced deterioration. Did not send the images. Had to request them. Is this even a scientifically acceptable report. On what scale does "advanced" fall? A monkey could have written this report. What exactly am I paying for here? This is absolute nonsense and I would not recommend. I will say the technician was efficient and professional as well as the other staff I interacted with. But, at the end of the day anyone seeking its services ultimately want to know what a doctor's interpretation of the results are - clearly either the doctor who examined my images is extremely lazy, does not care or someone else submitted the results. Either way, it's absolutely unacceptable. I can hardly wait to see the billing for this worthless interaction based on the other reviews here. I requested a good faith estimate in advance for a particular CPT code but based on this experience, I'm betting it will be based on some other code and cost a lot more than the estimate I received.

Dr. Holgers has been so amazing and incredibly helpful to me, finally getting me answers and finding solutions to the pain that I've been having for many, many years. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable and thorough, but he is super friendly and personable, and he never rushes through the appointment. In fact, he's the first doctor that I've ever seen that has asked me if there was anything else that I wanted to address at what would have otherwise been the end of my appointment. At that moment I knew that Dr. Holgers was actually invested in making me healthier and pain-free. I was referred to Dr. Ruff for a neurosurgery consult and again was so impressed. She explained in great detail the surgery, as well as the pros and cons and was excellent at answering my questions and concerns. She was very friendly, clearly knowledgeable, and obviously committed to helping me make the best decision for me. I've also had two procedures performed here by Dr. Fredericks that had great outcomes. But just as importantly, the procedures themselves went very smoothly. Dr. Fredericks explained his every step so I was always aware of what was happening and exactly what to expect. He was very patient with my questions, he laughed at my really bad jokes, realized I was probably a bit nervous, and kept the atmosphere light and fun, rather than all serious and sterile...All the while performing very intricate and precise, but most importantly successful pain-relieving procedures. Lastly, this clinic also has a great physical therapy department. I worked with Johnathan and he was friendly, fun and great at motivating me, as well as great at explaining the mechanics of the body and how the exercises I was doing would affect my back and neck pain. Also, the Med X system that I completed was great and especially helpful for strengthening my neck and relieving neck pain. Overall, I (clearly) am thrilled to have found this Spine Clinic and the doctors and therapists there. I feel like I am finally on the path to a future free of back and neck pain and I am so thankful for all those at the M Health Fairview Spine Clinic who have helped me get to this point! Highly recommend!!!

The front reception people were friendly, the registration areas are private which I love, and everything went smooth as silk. The doctor I saw, Dr. Holgers was incredible. I was in an accident 7 years ago and after many visits he gave my husband and I his person cell number for emergencies. Thank god for that because I was in another accident and I sent him a text. We have had good doctors helping him until he moved to a Saint Paul. Then it became difficult to find a doctor who understood and knew at least something about the illness. It took us a while, but we did find an excellent dr who is connected to Noran. Prior to him, the first doctor we saw there didn't seem to care. Then we were assigned to a nurse practitioner who was was unqualified to deal with the illness. After complaining, we were finally given an excellent doctor who DOES know about the illness and cares a lot. . Our son has been stable but between 2019 and 2020 serious flare ups started occurring. Our doctor kept at it and prescribed, among many other medications, IVIG. Thus our son needed to go to the Lake Elmo clinic for IVs. When Covid hit, and he came to live with us in Wisconsin. He was able to get his IV treatment at a local hospital in Milwaukee. His experience for over a year and half there was wonderful. He was treated kindly and with respect. Then he returned to Minnesota and back to Noran. Things changed for him. We were told that he was a "hard stick" and that he should go somewhere else. Well, he can't drive at this moment and he had transportation via relatives. It was working well for him. But at the next appointment, it was difficult finding a vein and we were told the clinic has no ultra sound to find one and that equipment is too expensive, they aren't trained to run it anyway, and storage would be an issue for it. So we were told to basically go away. Really? Too expensive? So is their fancy waiting room with its big fireplace! As for storage, it's a small piece of equipment that fits on a cart. As for training, if a clinic claims to be a comprehensive infusion center it should have the right equipment and training to serve a customer! We don't care about snacks, a comfy chair, games, television, etc., while getting an infusion! And The staff from the front desk on is rude (not the first time we ran into this). We, of course found him a different infusion center and his good doctor is connected to it, but the transportation issue has become more challenging and this shouldn't be. As clinics and hospitals are getting fancier and fancier, they are missing what a patient really and truly needs, and Noran is no exception.

How likely is it to get in for an overdue routine mammogram the same day I call to request one? I…read morewould have guessed, very unlikely. Surprise! Appointments open later that afternoon. I chose the earlier one and arrived early. Yeah! I can spend some time in the new book I'd just checked out of the library. I announced my arrival at the reception desk and was informed that my "appointment" is set for NEXT FRIDAY. Not today. How could this be? I explained I'd called just a few hours ago, requested an exam either today or Monday, and I was offered a choice of 3 different times THIS AFTERNOON. So happens that I was talking to the very same woman with whom I'd made the appointment - she then remembered talking with me and realized her mistake. Fortunately, anyway, their afternoon was very slow and I got in right away. Not a moment's wait. I was lead back into the changing room area, which always smells strongly of b.o., no matter what time of day I've ever been in there (and I've been in this very room at least 2 previous times). I went out into the waiting area, sat down with a Wine Spectator magazine and was called a moment later by the very same woman who took the pics of my boobs the last time. I told her I remembered her and she confirmed our previous meeting after looking into my record. Sigh... We're old friends... she (Mary) and my boobs. Now, Ladies. Y'all know that mammograms are not *fun*; however, they provide a snapshot into the relative health of "our girls". Fortunately, mine remain healthy, and with "dense" tissue which shows up best on digital mammograms vs. x-ray mammograms (according to Mary). This place now does only "digital" mammograms. I got to see the pictorial difference between my previous x-rays and my new digital pics. Drastic difference.

But moments after I signed in at the front desk, I was brought back to a private area, with large clean changing rooms and lockers. I was given an opaque kimono, and instructions to leave my stuff in a locker and take the key with me. I did, walked into another waiting area, and in about a minute, I was brought to the mammogram room. The nurse doing the exam was kind and professional and had warm hands as she positioned my breasts on the machine. The whole thing took maybe 4 minutes, and I was done, and she said they'd be trying to access any old images and would get back to me in 1 - 2 days with the results. I had an inkling something was not right, and sadly I was right--I had a suspicious mass. They were very reassuring when they called and told me that I had to return for an ultrasound. A couple of days later, I did so. After I donned my kimono, the room I was shown to was softly lit, with quiet music playing, very calming. The doctor who did the ultrasound said indeed, my lump was suspicious, and he wanted to do a biopsy right then and there. I was pretty scared. My husband, (who had come along just in case of bad news) came in and distracted me as they numbed up my breast and took out a bunch of tissue samples. It wasn't fun, but anyway, the doctor and attending nurse were great. The doctor said that if it was cancer, I'd be good as new in 6 months, and they'd take good care of me. Afterwards, as I had yet another mammogram, I almost passed out, probably from the stress. The nurse got me water, and sat with me until I could get up and get dressed So, I could go on and on, but it was Stage 1 breast cancer. I had to go back for a breast MRI (loud) and then I had a lumpectomy a week ago. They also removed 2 lymph nodes, and I'll be meeting with an oncologist soon to figure out what's next. The people prepping me for surgery all said how much they loved working with the staff at the Breast Center, and that they were the best group in the whole hospital! THAT is high praise. I can say that despite the really crummy circumstances and me maybe not being at my best, everyone was respectful and compassionate. Ladies, don't put off getting a check up. I was ABSOLUTELY LUCKY because my mass was so deep, it would have had to get very large to have felt it on my skin, and by then it would have likely spread and made treatment more difficult. So make that call, and if your insurance plan covers Regions Breast Center, you won't have any regrets choosing them.
