I thought that with the switch from Walgreens to a private company, the service would improve. NOW…read moreTHAT THE SERVICE IS NO LONGER CENTRALIZED IN HUDSON, WI--where only a few prescriptions were filled at the pharmacy--BUT INSTEAD COMES FROM A DISTRIBUTOR, where they package the medication in a way that's completely unnecessary and expensive for the company, since it comes in a plastic bag, and inside that, another paper bag with the medication. That costs money for the company, packaging and shipping and time for the customer. They keep making things more expensive for them and call themselves businesspeople. I have worked and lived in four different countries and at pharmaceutical companies, and none of them had such a huge bureaucracy at the pharmacy level.

I constantly have problems with the pharmacy. My latest was a late refill. I called last Monday and…read morethe pharmacy tech said it will be ready Wednesday. Wednesday came and went, on Thursday I called for an update. I was told my insurance was out dated. I asked what insurance they were trying to use and it was my 2025 insurance. Then after further research they found that they did indeed have my 2026 insurance card on file since the beginning of the year. At this point I'm told the prescription I need is now being processed. Five days later the Walgreens app shows the prescription is delayed. I am completely out of medication at this point and the phone system for Walgreens just verifys it is in process. So, I need to select more options thru the phone system and repeat all of my information to get thru to a person. I'm finally told it should be arriving later today. This experience is becoming the norm when dealing with Walgreens pharmacy. I have started moving my prescriptions to another pharmacy, to avoid constantly needing to check up on my prescription status.

Buyer beware on the Minute Clinic side. Went in for a simple ear wax removal. Everything online…read moresaid this is a simple procedure and should've been about $25-40 out of pocket with insurance. Since I do have insurance and haven't been in to a minute clinic in over 2 years they gouged me for $339.00. (New client - since it was over 2 years) and (extended visit - because apparently it was both ears) mind you the whole visit was 15-20 minutes tops. And since I am healthy with insurance and haven't met anything on my deductible, they are billing it ALL to me. If you had no insurance at all the bill would've still been about $110. No wonder people hate everything about healthcare in this country. I'm grateful I can afford this, but many out there living paycheck to paycheck may want to heed this warning.

Got to the drive thru. 2 cars in front of me, kinda slow but nothing unexpected. When I got up to…read morethe window I Sat at it unacknowledged for, no exaggeration, 30+ minutes while a line of cars grew behind me & their drivers started yelling at me as if it was my fault. I hadn't even been spoken to by anyone working! Watched the staff help a handful of people at the counter inside the entire time, no clue what they were doing. I'm sure this experience had more to do with the dismal state of "healthcare" in this country overall, rather than any incompetence on the part of the staff, but still quite frustrating. Will be looking into switching to a nearby mom & pop pharmacy & highly recommend anyone reading does the same.
