I called ahead to let them know I was on my way to make the purchase. I arrived shortly before closing, around 5:55 PM. As soon as I walked in, an older gentleman made rude comments about me shopping only a few minutes before closing. One younger employee was kind and tried to defuse the situation, even telling me not to listen to him because he was a "grump." I was prepared to spend over $500, but I left without buying a single plant. I understand that I arrived near closing time, but I had called ahead and expected basic courtesy and professionalism. Instead, I felt unwelcome, belittled, and as though my business was an inconvenience. Unfortunately, the negative reviews I read beforehand turned out to be accurate. I chose not to spend my money at a business that treats customers this way. Respect and customer service matter, regardless of the time of day.

If you're looking for shrubs and plants that are really suited to Long Island's climate and soil conditions and are low maintenance, this is it! These flowering plants will support bees, butterflies, birds and other biodiversity in your garden and the native grasses sold at KMS will help to replace and renew a portion of sterile chem-lawn too. Usually a garden center might have a few native plants or hybrids. To start I got some chocolate boba milk tea from @wickedsisterstea, it was a perfect pick me up, just sweet enough and super flavorful. They also sell an assortment of loose teas that I highly recommend! Next my boyfriend and I sampled some empanadas at @amped_panadas, we shared the Florentine which is the vegetarian option and was super juicy and cooked perfectly and we shared the "the amped" a sloppy Joe empanada very clearly cooked with love. Two special shoutouts to @thelidipcompany and @creationsofbacon we sampled the Greek and baked clam dip which was basically a gyro and baked clam that can be served with crackers and pita. Unfortunately she was sold out otherwise my boyfriend and I would've bought it all! We also sampled the bacon Oreo and bacon jam sandwich at creations of bacon. Perfect mix of sweet savory and spicy! Lastly we stopped at @prettybakedonlongisland. We bought some jalapeño cheddar pretzels and she was having BOGO 50% off cookies so of course I grabbed a couple of those! Overall, todays farmers market experience was a great first time back! I'm so excited for the spring season and what's to come. We were in shock to see a large, empty flower bed. When we asked Stacy about it, she apologized and promised to deliver the new roses within a week. ( It was a back order) When the roses finally arrived, they were all one color. We refused to have them planted because they were not what we had purchaced. Tracy promised to plant something temporaraly, never did. As a result, we were left with a large centerpiece flower bed completely empty and no effort was made to correct their mistake. We are extremely disappointed by the lack of professionalism, poor communication, and disregard for customer satisfaction. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend this company. Please see the flower bed the day before they came and what they have left.
