I went in to pick up an online order at 8:40 this morning (the store wasn't busy), and there was a customer who had been waiting to pick up an order, but she still hadn't been helped yet. I asked the 2 employees who were in the pick-up order area (staring at their cellphones) if anyone was assisting customers. I usually like going to this Wal-Mart as they have good prices and a quick check out service. I was not very happy today with the customer service. I felt discriminated as a diabetic since all the diabetic supplies were locked up. I needed a 6 dollar lancet device but it was locked up. Also all the Reli-on sugar drops and Reli-on sugar liquids were locked up and these are less than 4 dollars each. I rang the bell but nobody came for almost 10 minutes. I've had that issue before. I saw an employee in another aisle and she said she didn't have a key and I had to go to customer service. I asked the associates at the self check out if they could get someone who had a key. He pointed to the manager who was way at the other end of the registers that she was the only one with the key. I asked if he could get her but he said he couldn't so he made me get her. I got her and she seemed bothered that I needed her help. She opened the case took the item out, put it in a plastic box and then walked it to the self check out line for me. I can't believe she did this for a 6 dollar item. I asked why they only locked up diabetic supplies and she said it was because they have a high theft. I can understand locking up the machines and test strips because they are expensive but locking up items less than 10 dollars is ludicrous and I felt I was being discriminated against. There was medicine for 20 dollars right next to it that wasn't locked up. I made a complaint with Wal-Mart and their ethics committee. I am very disappointed in my experience. I also should not have to do their job for them by going to get people. Don't have a button there if nobody is going to respond to it. read more

I placed an order online but my items were not available for delivery. The item was only available for pickup. I received notification that my item was ready for pickup. The notification instructed me to follow the signs and park in the curbside pickup area and check in when I arrived. The curbside pickup area was cordoned off. There was no sign or instructions about curbside pickup. There was no store contact info in the messages about my order. I had to park and the people at customer service what to do. They did not know! I was told to ask someone at the door. The gentleman at the door pointed to a sign and told me "You have to call that number." The woman on the phone was very pleasant. She asked for my information and soon brought out my items. I received no apology for being forced to enter the store. I can only assume that this location does not offer curbside pickup. read more

Walmarts range in quality wildly across the board. Some Walmarts are messy and look like all the employees gave up on any semblance of order years ago. Other Walmarts however are clean, organized and look like someone took time to actually organize shelves and mop the floors every now and then. The latter is the category that this Walmart falls into. I confess when I went in I thought this was a brand new Walmart. Everything was, for the lack of a better term, *shiny*. The floors were glistening, shelves were organized and even the Subways looked brand new. I was told later by my family member who lives nearby that this Walmart has been around for years, so I figure it recently underwent a significant renovation (I could be wrong). Either way, I felt at ease and comfortable in this store thanks to its well maintained appearance. I mostly go to Walmart to look for action figures for my collection and get pet treats, so from that perspective this Walmart was well stocked. They had toys that were released very recently and the shelves were well stocked. Meanwhile the pet section had just what I needed as well. I did not leave feeling I had wasted my time. This Walmart is the kind that has both a supermarket section and a "regular" Walmart combined into one giant store. That means to walk from one end of the store to the other you should be prepared to walk a bit. Even walking fast it took me a few minutes to get from one corner of the store to the other. The staff was very preoccupied the day I went (pre-Black Friday) so I did not get a sense of how good or bad they are, but given the organized state of the store I figure they could not be all bad. Bonus: This Walmart is right next door to a Stop & Shop, so you can get your food shopping done on top of your Walmart shopping all in one place. read more

I went to the Levittown Walmart today and I was actually very pleasantly surprised. I have been to the target in Westbury yesterday and the shelves were half full at best. But today at Walmart I found just about everything I wanted. The shelves were full. I wanted something from one of the top shelves and an employee happen to be walking by. He was gracious enough to get a ladder and climb up for me. The store was not mobbed, maybe because it was raining. I was able to use cash at the self check out, which you usually can't do in Westbury because they run out of cash. All in all I think Levittown is a better choice than Westbury if you're looking to shop in a Walmart. read more

Walmarts sales and prices are great! I'm disabled and I love that they have mobile carts to shop with here-they need a few more because they are always needed. Also, lots of selections to choose from with each item. Great garden and pet items also! They have a huge auto area as well as toy/bike area. The one negative is outdoor seats for disabled waiting on their transportation. Unless you use a walker or wheelchair you have to stand. They have a lot of disabled customers. read more

7/19/2020 NOT SOCIAL DISTANCED APPROVED I usually go to the Walmart in Westbury(well pre-COVID days lol) but this Walmart was closer and I just HAD to pick up the latest SOAP OPERA DIGEST. The way the aisles were blocked off did not make it easy to get to the magazines but my main issue is the line. Instead of having multiple lines, they have ONE line in between women's clothing and frozen food. No social distancing or signs of where to stand. Just one long line of people standing practically on top of each other like it's pre-COVID days. Which doesn't make sense since there ARE markers outside the store to show where to stand to be 6 feet apart. read more

The service ( so called cashiers) are lazy and outright rude. They never have a cashier working at a station you ALWAYS have to go to the self check out. It was the end of the evening and they had made NO announcement that the store was closing. they shut down the area with several people behind me. I stood there with my arms full of diapers milk juice and animal food. I found a cashier and she told me she was not taking cash I told her I only had cash she told me go check myself out. I told her i was instructed to check out with her. She shrugged her shoulders and said " it's the end of the night it wasn't her problem. Okay folks there are no Walmart Stores in the Five Boroughs of NYC. What does that mean? Order online at the convenience of your home and get the stuff delivered or head out to New Jersey- Forget the tolls which is a killer going back into Manhattan from NJ. So, next big thing is to head out to Long Island. Yeah! Toll free. This is the second Walmart that I have visited on Long Island and once you been to one they are practically similar with the scope of products. This is a busy traffic Walmart. The aisles are pretty narrow. Several times almost turned the corner and walked into a person or into a cart. They try to pack as much stuff into this store. It was all Halloween Candies on display as well as costumes. Kids running around getting their outfits which is so fun to watch. More staff at the cash register and there is no security to check your receipt as you are heading out of the store. Will be back when shopping in East Meadow vicinity. read more

I have to say it is the worst Walmart ever for many reasons. For one, the employees are by far the worst every single one you speak to has an attitude. I am one that strongly believes that Walmart is destroying small business. It has a strangle hold on shoppers and they come in by the boat loads. I was sure that I was not going to enjoy my visit. I felt like a child being dragged to a doctor for a shot. But Inside I was shocked. I actually liked it. They have so much stuff you can get lost in there. My brother needed hangers and trust me they had plenty. This place is Amazon inside a building. I couldn't believe the amount of Isles in this building. I was also impressed with the prices, were can you find a box of 30 hangers for twelve dollars? I can completely understand why people shop here, it's addicting. I use to avoid shopping here at all cost, but I will pop in from time to time to see what's on sale. The bad of Walmart is apparent. I did not see one happy employee working there. They looked angry and very unapproachable. Two ladies where fighting over who does what job and a cashier complained they don't get overtime. For employees to speak up so publicly about there job breads dissension. This is terrible for morale. I hope Walmart finds a way to deal with this or this could lead to high turnover. read more

I used to shop here all the time that was when I was able to get a ride here. They only way to get here is by car as the LIRR's Hicksville station can only get you so far. It's mass size which you can indeed get lost with aisles and aisles of merchandise. Despite it's massive size they do not have a supermarket. Prices are exteremely competitive which fits my budget in today's struggling economy... thus, no compliants there. It can be crowded at times especially during holidays and weekends. This location was opened in 2002 as I remember it being built. read more

I'm more of a Target person because I feel Target offers better quality products, lower prices, the decor is nicer and usually the stores are bigger. Just my opinion. What I will say is that the occasional times I come to this Walmart the employees have been helpful and friendly. The place seems clean and well kept for the most part. While I don't agree with those who claim this is the worst Walmart around (it's not - try at least two of the ones near me - you'll recant your words very fast), this certainly isn't that great either. The layout of the store is pretty standard, but some of the aisles are on a slant. Whomever laid this store out like this needs to be fired. In some areas, there's plenty of space for customers with carts to pass each other, in other areas, you with your own cart would have trouble maneuvering. And yes, some customers can't manage a shopping cart to save their own lives, but spacing in here is terrible. I will only shop at Walmart to save on certain items, as they are cheapest in here. Really, you can't beat their prices on certain items as compared to just about everywhere else. The staff largely was lethargic and blah. Really, they want $15 an hour.....lol. Work ethic is a trait, if you don't have it now you still won't at $15 an hour. I worked like a dog when minimum wage was $4.25, what the hell is your excuse. Inept staff is what you will find here. We found most of what we were looking for. Most things were stocked well, others not so much. Unfortunately I needed to use the restroom - which is rarity for me in places like this. Let's just say next time, I'll just buy some diapers and go in my pants - it would be cleaner and more sanitary that way. The customers in here were atrocious. I can't blame Walmart for that, but I've been to several and the customers on this visit were some of the rudest, nastiest, laziest, clueless, zombie-like I've come across in one sitting. And some of them prove the point where showering/bathing should be the law of the land. The register situation was appallingly bad. The cashiers were slow (mine was nice at least and spoke English which was a bonus) and the lines just didn't move. There were 4-5 registers open, but it was very, very slow moving. There was hardly the room for people with their carts to wait - but that also goes back to the terrible design and layout of this store. If you buy something frozen and stand in this line, you won't need a microwave or oven when you get home after being in this line. Parking lot is ok, nothing great. They share the space with a supermarket and maybe another business. There are carts all over the place - at least there was when I went. All in all, a Walmart. Great prices are about the only thing positive I can type about this place. All else is basic Walmart garbage. Though I will repeat, this is certainly not the "worst Walmart", as there are plenty much worse all around than this one. Just find a happy place with the prices and try to block all else out. Walmart use to be on every corner until I relocated from South Carolina to Queens. This was my third visit a different Walmart in New York. The first was in valley stream ((((those reading stay FAR FAR away from that location))), then visited the location off of old country road. Experience wasn't bad, this location was by far less congested than all fo them which made the experience much more pleasant. Prices are affordable and you can pretty much find everything that you need in one store, makes household shopping much easier. read more

I have a walmart card for 2 years, w a high limit for someone my age. I usually shop weekly, spending hundreds. I typically use another location but figured i'd take a trip here. SHOULDNT HAVE DONE THAT. Not only did the staff ACCUSE me of stealing, but then called police on me. As I was waiting for police to arrive, I refused the staff orders since the situation was FALSE & ridiculous. For example, I was trying to contact family to make them aware of what was going on... they kept telling me to get off the phone, as EACH ONE OF THEM were using theirs. They were laughing, making jokes ABOUT ME & using vulgar language on their phone conversation... such as the "n" word. Obviously, when police came I was let go. I will never step foot in this walmart again & I am rethinking the other locations as well, since staff is unprofessional. In the past, they accused my fiancé of stealing a display phone, which is one of the reasons we stopped going to this location. Obviously no one is going to steal a phone that doesnt work & after my spouse freaked out, they let him go. NO ONE STOLE EITHER TIME. This location needs a serious re-evaluation on staff. I was expecting nightmarish service, when my wife asked me to pick something up around noon this Saturday, especially considering the previous reviews. Not today. First, they called my wife and held an item for her, after she was previously told it was out of stock. Apparently, without her prompting, when they got a new shipment, they held one for her. I went to the pickup place, and the service was excellent. They were quick to help and find the item, and also rang up my other stuff with no issue. The store is well stocked and had some great bargains, even from a quick view as I was walking through. I called the customer service department to ask if they had an item in stock. A woman by the name of Sahad answered the phone, when I informed her I could not understand her, she got extremely nasty. I am telling her the item number, loud and clear, she then tells me "I'm screaming at her" before hanging up. Confused, I call back, no answer. I call back again, and again, no answer. Eventually, I call from a different number, Sahad answers being very rude to me, and almost mockingly asking if I have my item number ready. Sahad then tells me she wont help me, and puts me on hold for the manager, who never comes to the phone. I call back and Sahad tells me she is a customer there so she cannot help me, THEN PUTS A CUSTOMER ON THE PHONE TO TELL ME IF I STOP BEING NASTY I CAN BE HELPED.. SHE PUT A CUSTOMER ON THE PHONE... the manager shortly comes on afterwards, after about 13 calls of being hung up on or on endless holds, he informs me they have caller ID so thats why Sahad wasnt answering. I can hear her in the background throughout the duration of the call speaking loudly about me and then about her manager giving her name to me. This is extremely unacceptable, I am appalled and the customer service your employee has shown. Now, a half hour later, I still dont know if this store has the item I need in stock. read more

Ohhhh my GODDD ! When we got to check out, the machines for self checkout were out of bags and the space is smaller than I've seen at other Walmart's. However, everything else was amazing -- they were missing a bunch of things that I typically find at other Walmart's and there parking was scarce but im assuming that's because there's so many other people. The location is pretty big. They have just about everything and you find things you wouldn't think of. The staff is always working and they assist when needed. I went to my local Walmart to buy a booster seat for my Grandson. I looked on the website before I went and saw that it was available at the East Meadow store. I found the one I wanted on display and then had to search all over to find what seemed like the last one in stock. When I tried to purchase the item at the register, the price came up as .1 cent - which of course was wrong. After about a 15 minute wait and accompanying the sales girl to the area that I found it, I was told that it was not for sale. The reason: When they reorganize the store, it will be used as a display item. REALLY?? You pass up a sale to possibly display an item you do not have in stock?? UNREAL! read more
