There could be 10 workers stocking the shelves all around you, and not a single person is ever able to help when you need something, like an item out of the locked cabinets. I actually enjoyed browsing/shopping around at this Walmart. The super knocked down prices on everything looked like a better deal than the Walmarts in the Bay (even though prices are already low). This Walmart seemed pretty stocked up on everything too, from the groceries to the kitchenware & more. The BF & I got a large, stainless steel Pot for only $7.99! Wow, super great find! Only cons I can think of is the location & some of the isles that were temporarily closed. No long lines either which was great! This is my go to Walmart as I live and have work nearby! I usually find everything I need and some of the staff I have remembered were really nice and I always looked forward to seeing them. Today I wanted to write a review because of two reasons. One about cat cans. It's always a hit a miss. It's almost never fully stocked, but there's usually little to no "shred" cans so I've been getting my cat pate to try. To my surprise today, most of the shelves were empty. And you know the boxes of cans they sell? That was ripped open! That was crazy, I literally thought to myself "are we having a cat can shortage?" Which I also find that thought funny. Another lady who was there told me the same thing happened to the other Walmart so I'm wondering what's going on regarding that. I did manage to take some cat can but I do hope it restocks, that's why a star has been taken away. My second reasoning was because of check out. There is an employee there that is very friendly and funny. He is very energetic. He asked us to give a 5 star after our purchase on the check out register which I didn't mind cause there's nothing that really gives a low star other than service but I hardly talk to employees and just do my quick shopping. After the 5 star he hollered out, I forgot what he said but it made us laugh. I feel like everybody enjoyed his presence as most places are serious. His service did not go unnoticed and I wished I got his name because he stood out today! I usually don't have an issue since I also always go self check out but I do give it a 4 star for the cat can since that would be my only struggle. read more

I'm usually a target guy because of quality of products but I was pleasantly surprised with the products I was looking for at Walmart. For example I bought a bunk bed here and it's good quality at a great price. Of course it was a pain in the rear to put together and it was very heavy. Luckily an employee named Lalo helped me. He was very helpful pulling it off the shelf and loading it into my truck. I also found some really cute sheet sets for my kids. Long story short, I went to get a clothes rack but in order to get the price online, I had to do curbside pickup. So I left the store without the item(s). Did online pick up and an hour later they said they were out of stock. The associate I talked to when I was in the store told me she was going to make sure I got the items. She must've lied and set them in a basket somewhere. I called to talk to an associate about the matter and they just put me on hold over and over then picked up the phone and hung up. Do not buy clothes of any type here during the pandemic. Should they not fit, Wallmart will not issue a refund or credit if you are in California. The Clovis manager refuses to address it, saying corporate has instructed them to remove notices at the self check-out, and directs you to the Wallmart website. Phone calls direct you to the website as well, where there are no chats regarding in-store purchases, emailing for help, or way to communicate with Wallmart. You have to wonder why Wallmart boasts that they will "make it right" and that they care about the customer. I shopped at this Walmart on Sunday. As I was leaving the man who was tasked with stopping people from entering who were not wearing masks let a man in who was protesting wearing masks. He let him in telling him, "okay for today but if you come back tomorrow I won't let you in again." That is not the state or city order. The Beauty Department had a cashier at around 4pm on 1/5/2021 that was rude and completely disrespectful. She first told me that she would only be able to ring up ten items and then got ugly with me when I said I have never been told that policy before. Then she started ringing up items that weren't even mine. When I questioned what she was doing ringing up things that weren't mine, she started getting nasty and said that she thought she heard me saying they were. I was beyond confused. This happened in the split second as I was turning back to look at my cart and to ask the lady behind me if she knew of such a policy. So, I have no idea where she grabbed those two hair products or whatever they were from and why in the world she would assume they were mine when I didn't give them to her. Crazy lady. She needs to go on a soul search. Manager Michael, please train your employee (that lady) to have manners. I would advise that you go find a video of that day and time and figure out where she got those to items from and then had the nerves to get angry with me. I'm curious as well. Ugh! This is the highest rated Wal-Mart in Fresno??? It by far sucks the hardest out of all that I've been to, I really don't understand this... This is easily the most unorganized of all the Wal-Marts, probably ever. Every time I come here, they have to move everything the fuck around in an attempt to disorient me. Seriously, electronics was in the middle of the store last time I came here, now it's shoved all the way in the back corner. The floors are stained and littered with products and other assorted shit- similar to one of those post-apocalyptic movies with random debris and fucked up, broken cars strewn all over the place. The part that finally pissed me off enough to write a review, though- false advertising. I wanted a product I found for $22 on their website- I figured it would be faster and easier to pick it up in-store than go through amazon.com or whatever. Fuck no. It just reminded me why I buy everything online in the first place. I got there and the price of the item was $40, and ended up getting in a pissing contest with the department manager. If you, like me, don't particularly fancy paying more money for the same exact stuff at the Target down the street, read on for some tips on navigating this store. 1. Don't go there on the weekends. Just don't. If you enjoy fighting your way through heaving masses of folks who don't know how to maneuver shopping carts and let their little kids run hither and yon, then knock yourself out. Me, I'd rather take a pass. 2. Don't go there on the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd of the month. That's when the welfare checks arrive. The 1st and the 2nd are simply a human zoo, and by the 3rd the store looks as if it has been looted. 3. Avoid the self check-out lanes. Not only will the shoppers in front of you have no idea how to operate it, they'll let their pre-schoolers play "shopping" on the machine. Mommy will stand by while little Susie figures out how to scan every item in the cart, obliviously to the fact that the five shoppers behind her want to ring her neck. Also, the machines will reject two-thirds of you're trying to buy, requiring an employee to meander over after each dreaded "DONG!" to re-set the machine. Flipping frustrating that is. I came in here yesterday because my car was getting mighty choosy about when it was deciding to start. I told them I wanted them to test the battery, then charge it and see if it held a charge, then go from there. I signed the release on a tiny screen allowing them to do the testing and was told I would be paged in an hour after the testing was finished and informed of the results. I had my kids with me, so we roamed around this disgusting Big Box for an hour. I went back to check on my car, and the girl at the Automotive counter started to ring me up. I told her that I was just waiting to hear the results of my battery test. She tells me to hang on, then goes to talk to one of the mechanics. When she comes back, she tells me the mechanic said he pages me twice, and when I didn't show up, decided to put a new battery in on his own. I was never given an estimate. I never signed a work order for them to do anything on my car other than test the battery. When I was rang up, the total came to just under $90. Seems a little steep to me, but I'm just a girl. :P I called the store later that day to speak to a manager. I was hung up on once and was on hold for 25 MINUTES before I got ahold of anyone. When a manager finally came on the phone, he told me he didn't understand what my problem was. Then he got off the phone as quickly as he could and had the girl at the automotive counter call me back to find out what I wanted. Rude. I'm so sick of these people who don't care about the customers that keep them in a paycheck. read more

Waited in line almost 25 minutes to check out only to have the cashier tell us she is closing and the people in front of us are last. Seriously annoying having to go start at the back of the line when I was already waiting. When you mention Walmart, people in San Francisco and Marin make snide comments and stick their noses in the air. However, they don't mind shopping at Target which is a similar (though not as good of value) as a Walmart. Being from San Francisco, there are no nearby Walmarts, so whenever I am out of town I try to stop in at a Walmart. This past week, we were in the Fresno area to buy a car and we decided to stop in at this store. It was a superstore with a market. The best Walmarts I've been to have been in Reno, but this one comes pretty close. The staff are helpful when I needed a price check or asking about the availability of a product. One elderly female greeter even walked me to the market section to help me look for a certain item, even though I didn't ask her too. The prices here are a bargain and the quality is pretty good. We bought outdoor supplies, automotive equipment, clothing, and knick knacks. We had to return one item and there was no hassle. The management at Walmart makes a world of difference as the staff here know the value of customer service. In this era of tightening budgets, shopping at Walmart is an economically good value. read more

I am a single white woman and a mother to two kids and have been coming to Walmart for almost 2 years now. I work two jobs and have very little time during the day so there are nights when I am rushing into Walmart in the last 10 minutes they're open for one or two items that I need for the next day. But tonight at 10:55 after already slipping in the front door of Walmart I was stopped by an employee. Sherry. Who told me that they were closed. When I showed her my clock on my phone with the remaining minutes of the store's hours. She told me they are closing their doors early and that I would have to see myself out the front door. I felt very bullied by Sherry. And by another employee who stood there and watched as she bullied me. I tried to plead my case, nicely. But she crossed her arms and refused to let me in , at 1158 she was then pulled away by another employee for a different task of closing. At that time I proceeded to getting my item and leaving the store before it was 11:03. Had I not been stopped by Sherry. I would have made it out of there on time. She acted as though she was a bouncer and treated me like I was not welcome. I realize they want to get home to their own families. And if there was a way for me to avoid disturbing them within the last minutes of being open , I would do it. But I've never had any issues as I normally get out of there on time. As a kind human being, I show them that respect. I hope that Sherry and the other employee can learn to be the same way. read more

Can You Give Negative Stars????? Order was NOT Delivered as Promised and Management Did NOT Follow up. 08March2019 - Friday - Order for Delivery Placed. Information provided for locating house. Requested phone call before delivery. (I have dogs). 504pm Saturday, received email and text message driver leaving store, estimated delivery time 534pm. 514pm Received email, Groceries delivered, did I want to Tip driver. 615pm Delivery Tracking Website still showed groceries in route. 620pm Still NO sign of driver. 625pm Called Customer Care who advised groceries had been delivered. I assured her they had not. While On hold, checked Delivery Tracking, it now said Driver "Crystal" was at my door and needed my signature. Agent came back and advised Store Manager "David" had been unable to contact driver, calls going to voicemail. Store Manager would call me to advise about delivery. 755pm, Still No Groceries, NO Call from Store Manager. Called Customer Care Again. Was advised Store Manager would contact me first thing in the morning. 935am SUNDAY - Driver showed up with groceries. Store Manager Had NOT called. Driver Had NOT called. Driver Stated Store Manager advised Previous Driver "Had Not Been Able To Locate House" and Returned groceries to Store. Driver said He had No challenge finding my house, there was a Clearly Visible Address at edge of driveway and he easily saw house from road. WalMart in Clovis is using Door Dash for Delivery Service and REALLY Needs to work out their challenges with service. I Strongly Recommend using VON's Grocery Delivery Service. They have never missed or been late for a delivery. Driver will call before arrival. VON's has a fleet of Trucks with Refrigeration/Freezer units to protect your products. It is worth the extra 2-5% on cost of products for reliable service and care taken with products ordered. read more

The place has expanded and offers a lot more (groceries)...it is generally clean when I go there. The customers tend to be really thuggy (not their fault, but heightened security would help I suppose)...I've seen young men with pants around their ankles (not that everyone who dresses like this is a thug, but...)slowly strolling in groups looking from side to side like they're watching for someone who might be watching them...and I generally trust my instincts - they weren't there for the regular discounts. And the mothers screaming and cursing at their kids and threatening to slap them upside the head?! What the hell?? This particular lovely lady was shopping in the babies/infants isle with 3 in tow...why she had more if she seems to so despise the first one is beyond me. This isn't Wal-Mart's fault...just saying the store does seem to attract those who think Kool-Aid is a food group... I've experienced problems with faulty electronics I've purchased from them in the past (boom boxes that died with less than 3 months of use!)... The groceries...cheaper at Winco! The place is generally crowded, with really long lines. The prices are great, hard to beat, but like the other poster said; Wal-Mart has a lot of practices that make my conscience cringe every time I go (read up, it gets ugly). Whenever, I have to Wal-Mart I have this internal groan of dread. I will not go into the corporate greed or heinous way they have been known to treat their employees. When I went into it was packed, why I don't really know. They don't have the lowest prices in town. In fact, I went there to get some paint for my sister and I found that Toys R Us had a better buy by a dollar. I also found that when they do have a lower price they are cheaper by maybe a few cents. For example, I was looking to buy The Help, so I went to Wal-Mart and found that I would only save three cents in comparison to Target and it wasn't worth it to stand in the long lines. The Wal-Mart on Shaw is actually pretty clean since it has annoyingly remodeled. I don't understand it. It didn't need to be remodeled at all. I can't be the only that has gotten lost. I have spent 20 extra minutes every time I go in that store just so I can find one or two items. In my opinion, it is tasteless attempt to have people to buy more products while raising the prices. The Wal-Mart lines have been known to all for being long and exhausting. Their three cent discounts are not worth the 20 minutes you will have to wait if you go to Wal-Mart. It isn't even for the amount of people that got to Wal-Mart. My mother and I stood in line for 20 minutes because some was trying to cash in on an EBT card. I didn't realize that Wal-Mart had become a bank as well, though I not surprised. One of the most important factors is customer service and in Wal-Mart it didn't have it. I went to the photo lab and I actually had to find someone to fine the person that was supposed to be in the photo lab. It took that person thirty minutes to come over to the lab just to give my pictures. I can also tell you that it wasn't a surprise for me to find they didn't have my pictures. I have scoured and search for a good aspect of Wal-Mart and I really can't find one at all. They don't have those low prices that I have claimed to have, nor do they have great customer service. You are in the store longer than you would have to be just looking for things. In my opinion, Wal-Mart on Shaw isn't worth it. read more

I called to tell them we were already there and driving two hours total to get the order. It was suggested that we wait and it would be ready at 9:15 but after waiting another hour we received an email our order was cancelled. Totally unreliable service that is not worth it to try! I hadn't been to this Walmart in about a year but had to shop in the area. I am so impressed with the employees that helped me find locations, check out and also retrieve our milk from Producers from the back frigerator. Thanks Jose! The bathrooms are toward the back and so so clean and working well. They even have a short children's sink. Thank you for that convenience. Such a nice layout of store and produce includes everything. We will be back. It is evident with other shoppers that they are happy to find needed items for such a good price. Very very very annoying. I've been shopping at and doing returns at this location for over 10 years. The online return policy clearly states that all returns under $25 can be issued in cash. This location tries to say $10 (where they got that number I'm not sure because it's no where in the return policy.) Today I had a return of $12 and even though last time a mananger took care of it for me this manager said "I won't be approving this." So pretty much policy depends on who's working that day. So unprofessional... get it together! read more
