I arrived at this location tonight at around 9:30pm, an hour and a half before closing. It took me ten minutes to get what I needed, so I walked past all the closed non-self checkouts to the one register that was still open, as indicated by the green light. There was an attendant there talking to another behind the next cash, which was closed, as indicated by the red light. When I went to start unbagging my groceries, I was told to go to the self checkout, which was swamped. I told the cashier that I didn't want to wait in that long line for the few things I had, and that I don't work for free. I was then again told that they were closing (which doesn't happen until 11pm, over an hour later.), and that I should go to the self checkout if I wanted my groceries. Staying as calm as I could, I explained to the cashier that there should be at least one checkout lane open as long as the store is open, and I received a pair of blank stares from both cashiers. So I dumped my groceries out in the checkout lane and left. I'm no Karen to go asking to talk to the manager, and it took a great deal of restraint not to just walk out with my groceries to make my point. I rarely visit this location due to it's terrible service, and I will not be back unless they have one hell of a sale on something I need. read more

Yesterday I had an unexpected wonderful experience at Burlington Walmart. 2 days prior, I had purchased products and some were stolen in the store after purchase. I didn't realize until I got home that they were missing. Security at the store confirmed the theft with video footage when I went back to see if my missing items had been found. Even tho I was very responsible for not looking after my own purchases, the manager was very understanding and reimbursed me the stolen items. A big thank you to Aarshdeep, Abdul LP, Debbie, Danielle, and Manny for your help and generosity. You showed me how a chain store company can still be community minded and supportive to the client as an individual :) read more

I remembered there was a Walmart on Fairview but it's so hard to see from the road! No signs facing the road and their main Walmart sign on the front of the building is hidden from the road. Anyways went in today to pick up two items and left with like 30 things. Oops. Great rollback deals! Picked up some sheetmasks too. Excited to try them. read more

I came to go grocery shopping along with my uncle and aunt who live in Burlington. I was purchasing items for my family who lives in a separate household in Mississauga. The lady working at self checkout with dirty blonde hair on April 25, at 7:40 pm was very rude and tried telling me I couldn't purchase hand sanitizer because were from the "same family" when I was purchasing it for my own use at this hard time. She still said no despite me saying I can provide ID and show that we live in different cities. She showed attitude by saying, "your aunt works at Walmart too she should know better", which was highly unnecessary. She rolled her eyes frequently and took big gasps trying to clarify that she's annoyed. As an employee, she should know better and provide better customer service rather than be a rude individual at this tough time. This was at the Fairview Burlington location. read more

I was there with other seniors from the same seniors home. there was a greeter with head cover, small, looks like a senior like me, his nametag is mack. he conversed with us, handing carts one by one. one lady in our group uses a cane to walk. mack asks if she would rather use a scooter to use in the store. she said she has not used one before and does not know how to operate it. mack took her to one scooter and advised her hoiw to operate it. she was happy that a helpful man would take all this timet o greet us and anticipate our needs. On out way out, he thanked us for shopping. i said we are thanking him for being polite and kind and helping us. great experience. we will be looking forward to see mack again and shop at walmart. read more

So I popped into Walmart today after work looking to get a new pair of glasses. I was in a great mood looking forward to my wonderful new glasses. I left that place feeling like the ugliest, dirtiest looser ever. I was clearly looking for some feed back on a few pairs I tried on, looking toward to 2 ladies working. They both stood at some sort of booth in the middle of the store looking at each other and talking low, I guess they didn't realize I could see them because the place id full of mirrors. I would say how do these look, then I would say wow thanks for the help. I finally picked out 2 pairs. They asked if I wanted them I replied not sure I would like some feed back on these and again they just looked at me!!! saying nothing. I was so uncomfortable by this time as I was in there about 15 to 20 minutes. They 2 ladies working 2018/6/23 at 5:30 are both rude and useless in customer service. Looking down their noses at a paying customer, not moving from the spot to come and have a conversation about glasses and how they look. The person that would do the fitting was talking so low I gave up on hoping to have any of my questions answered. I'm not sure what she wanted me to do other than walk over to her and have her repeat the answer. Awful ,Awful service. If I could give a Zero star I would have. 2 nasty ladies. read more

It's a Walmart, it has a decent selection of everything like most Walmarts except a lot of the time many of the shelves seem less stocked than they should be due to lazy staff members who seemingly don't like working period. The grocery section isn't great in terms of selection but it offers great deals throughout the year on various products which allows people to save money. This is not one of the Walmarts responsible for taking a whole towns jobs because it's rather small in terms of selection and doesn't appeal as much to customers due to employees not doing their jobs. The cashiers are great though and there is an attached pharmacy, doctors office and McDonalds for people looking for more. read more

Thought I'd get on the covid bus and order my groceries online to be picked up... easier to go shopping at a store than deal with this.... Sat in a pick up spot called the number and no answer for 10 min... asked the kid packing the car next to me if he could help he said he would.. packed the car beside me and immediately left so once again calling for 5 min when a girl answered took my info and said she would be out.. when she got there she asked me if I was with door dash...it's pretty easy to take a name and lane number to mess that up makes me wonder... got my order and when I rolled up to the house and looked at my goods they screwed up wonderfully... if I ordered gherkins and you need to substitute it..pick another brand don't give me bread and butter pickles.. bought some face masks for my daughters.. one was a cat the other was a sloth... replaced the cat for a pig... I can't give my daughter a pig face masks how rude..3 of my things were not available .. so done with this half wit store... if you want to place an online order and want it to be perfect contact voila they will get it right... read more

I didn't really pay attention to the staff around the store but I can say that the young man working the register where I cashed out was quite friendly and attentive. I wound up at this Walmart on my way home from work because after searching for a used bicycle at a reasonable price just to ride around town this summer on for almost a month, I gave up and decided to pick up an $88.00 mountain bike from the big guy. That's why Walmart works for me. Sure the big guy has his flaws, but I know he'll be there when I need him and he ain't gonna sugarcoat a thing. This particular location shocked me a little because is was neater and cleaner then possibly any I've seen before and I didn't see any of the shoppers walking around in pajamas or herding a group of offspring around. ugh!! Had literally the worst experience of my life here on my trip to Canada. The worker (I think her name was Carolann??) was disgustingly rude to me and had me in tears. I just wanted to get a minion shirt for one of my best friends (who absolutely ADORES them!) and she was completely cold and unavailable. I was annoyed, but whatever. I may or may not have made a backhanded comment (as us Southerners do too often) and she heard. Then it only got worse when she started following me around the childrens section and wouldn't leave me alone. Being followed made me so anxious and uncomfortable that I ended up in tears. I am already a nervous person, but I have been so uncomfortable at any store since the incident. Guess that's what I should expect from walmart of all places. I'll be sticking to establishments that actually give two shits about their customers from now on. (aka: target, because at least they treat me like a human and not an ATM) :) read more
