We chose the new tires, the time estimate was 1 hour and to come back at 12:30 and we went for lunch and the car was ready early and I needed new wipers and they called and asked if I would like them replaced and they did this for me. We slid into a ditch 3 miles outside of Clintonville Wisconsin and called Accel towing to pull us…read moreout on Monday, May 25, 2020, around 12:00 PM. We had no damage except that our step coming out of the motorhome was bent a little from the dirt. The original truck workers that came to tow us out misdiagnosed our situation and tried to pull us out from the rear. In doing so, they separated/tore off the front of our RV at the seam of the passenger side and broke the front window. Then a crane came to pull us out. The crane brought our front end out of the ditch toward the road, but buried the rear end in. So then the same original rig and workers that tore off our front end hooked up to the rear hitch again and tried to drag the motorhome so that the rear end was more level with the shoulder. As they did this, they snapped the rear bumper in half, broke the hitch, separate the rear panel of the motor home and ruin the tire cap. On Friday, May 29, 2020 we got an estimate of how much the repairs would cost for the damage that the towing company did to the motor home. The estimated damages were approximately $15,000. We called Accel Auto & Truck Repair on Monday, June 1, 2020 and spoke with the owner Brian. We asked him how he would like to proceed and he said it was not his problem and he refused to give us his insurance information. He then said that he would see us in court.

I needed a repair done, and called over a week in advance and spoke with Cheyenne. She said that my vehicle would be done for sure in one day so we made an appointment for the following week. So, I dropped my car off the night before to have to looked at right in the morning. I got a call at 8am that they looked at my car, and this is what it needed and would be done later in the day. I called back at 5:15pm, and the guy that answered the phone told me it wasn't ready yet. I asked him when he thought it would be ready, and he instantly got an attitude with me. I don't think my question was unreasonable nor did it get angry that it wasn't ready. He starts rattling off everything they did, and what they still needed to do. I'm not unintelligent when it comes to car repairs, and I know what they needed to do should have taken 4 hours tops. Why they had my car all day and then get mad when I ask a question was really weird. He then told me my car would be ready in the morning- even though I was told twice it would be done the same day, whatever I had the next day off anyway. Later in the evening Cheyenne calls me to tell me that my car is ready. So we went to pick it up, and at least it came in under budget. I always find her very pleasant and knowledgeable to work with. The guy however, was a world class asshole. Based upon that interaction alone, I won't bring my own car here anymore, but others in my household probably will. When you are shelling out a few grand for a repair, you kind of expect to at least get a phone call if they are running behind in the repair time. And they damn well better be nice when you call for an update!

As a female, I often get talked down to when doing anything automotive, but I have never had that problem here. Dave and Brent (or Brett...bad with names) are awesome. They speak with me like a person, greet me by name, I have never felt overcharged, and the service is always quick and pleasant. I was told Pomp's is still family owned, and it really shows in the service at this location I will continue to bring my vehicles here. Even if, on occasion, certain places are cheaper, I'd rather spend the extra $$ to be treated like I matter. I love being greeted by name, and being genuinely remembered. I'd give them more stars if I could!

Pomp's charged me more than what they said would and damaged my wheels due to their negligence…read more I scheduled for them to do removal of my old set tires, remounting of new tires and wheel balancing. When I brought them at the time as scheduled earlier in the day, they could not find my reservation. It was okay though and I left the tires there so they could do the work and call me shortly when it was done. I asked them to be careful with them and not damage the alloy wheels. About an hour later Pomp's called me at home to tell me that they were done. When I returned to pick them up I asked if everything went okay, and the person there said yes. I then was told my total bill was $105.05. I said that earlier in the day you told me over the phone it would be $80 plus tax. The guy responded that my tires were low profile ones and that is why cost more. But when I called him earlier that day for a price quote I told him the size of the tires to be mounted. These people at Pomp's are in the tire business and (should) know these dimensions is are a low profile tire. Then why did he quote me $80? I paid my bill and started loaded the tires up. About half way through I noticed that one of my wheels were scratched. The Pomp's guy told me it was there before and that "they had pictures". I do not recall that damage to that wheel or any of the other ones. Then he picked out a s very small chip on one wheel about the size of a fly speck. I said that was there and I knew about it. You notice that Pomp's told me this after I paid my bill. When I got my wheels home I had to carefully clean off the adhesive left from the old stick-on wheel weights, yes Pomp's did not clean it off. I noticed they had gouged the paint, on all four wheels, apparently with a screwdriver or similar tool when they tore off the old weights. Although the damage is on the inside of the wheel, it can be plainly seen from looking from the front. And it is a lot bigger than a fly speck. Well, I have pictures of it too. If I knew that Pomp's were going to damage my property like this, I wish I would have taken the wheel weights off myself. One thing the guy claimed at Pomp's was that the person who mounted and balanced my wheels did all of their high end cars like Corvettes. Ha, I think he must have been confused, I would not trust this guy with a Chevette. Pomp's does not honor their price quotes and they are careless with customers property.
