When I stated I was taking it elsewhere, they charged me over $400.00. I towed the vehicle to a 2nd place that was able to diagnose in less than an hour and I had to beg the mechanic to take money for his time. If you need a timely, honest repair, I would go elsewhere.

Of course it was on a Saturday no less. The gal who answered was so nice. She got their tow truck operator dispatched and told me they had no problem holding my vehicle, etc. Marcos, their tow truck operator, got there fairly quick and delivered my truck to their lot. He was super nice and efficient. I asked them to run a diagnostic if needed and let me know what the estimated repairs would be. I would have to figure out how to get back to ABQ from AZ, etc. My wife called them on Tuesday (I was up to my rear in alligators at work). Their initial find was a frayed PCM cable (truck has +255k miles). Wednesday, the gal called to give me the prognosis and estimated cost. I gave them the nod to proceed. She left a message later in the day to say my truck was ready (still swimming with those gators). My personal issue was getting to their shop to pay them and pick my truck up. They were pretty cool about how long it would take me to get that done. Yes, I highly recommend Aiden's Diesel & Auto if you need work done on your diesel pickup.

On Aug 5th, I brought my car to this Jiffy Lube expecting their "Signature Service Synthetic" oil…read morechange to mean thorough work, transparency, and professional communication. Instead, I got a rushed, incomplete service wrapped in vague explanations and capped off with new mechanical problems that appeared within days. I was charged $250 for the oil change and a brake fluid replacement. The brake service was pitched in a way that sounded like a modest add-on only for the final bill to be far higher than expected. I authorized the work in good faith, trusting the confidence of a young technician. That trust was misplaced. The invoice is vague, poorly written, and fails to confirm whether the oil used meets Dexos 1 or Dexos Gen 2 certification a basic, critical disclosure for this type of service. I arrived at about 5:23 PM. They close at 6:00, but didn't ring me out until 6:14. Out of courtesy, I didn't check the work there, thinking they'd done their job. When I got home five minutes later, I saw the interior was in the same state same dirt, same debris. Their "vacuum" either barely touched the floor or simply didn't work. My oil life monitor hadn't been reset, which is about 10 seconds, I had to do myself. This isn't attention to detail, it's negligence dressed up as service. When it came to communicating the vehicle's condition, the failure got worse. The technician who actually worked on my car stood right next to the one who rang me up and yet, I had to be the one to ask if there were any leaks. Even then, the answer was vague, as if checking for leaks was optional. Where's the professionalism? Where's the basic courtesy to explain the findings clearly? This is supposed to be the "Signature Service" not a guessing game for the customer. A few days later, my check engine light came on. AutoZone's scan pointed to a mass air flow leak and a rich fuel mixture issues I've never had before. On top of that, the cashier not the technician who serviced my car casually mentioned I have a motor oil leak. I asked what could be done, and his answer was: "We don't know where it's at, but if you get a tracer liquid and shine a UV light, we could trace it back to see where the leak is." That's right I had to be the one to ask about next steps for a serious oil leak, and the guidance I got was vague and dismissive! A major mechanical issue should be proactively identified and explained, not mentioned as an afterthought by someone who didn't even touch the vehicle! That's not service. That's carelessness with consequences. I usually go to a different Jiffy Lube 3540# farther away. I tried this one for convenience. That was a huge mistake! My regular location has integrity and respect for customers, this one lost me to their competition for good. Corporate: if you're reading this, understand this is not a "bad day" review this is the result of negligence, poor communication, and a lack of pride in workmanship. The competition is already doing better. I'll be taking my business back to them permanently.

Just brought truck in for another service, specifically asked guy receiving not to touch air filter housing as I had just replaced clips. Did an under the hood parking lot check getting ready to leave, and clips were missing again. So 1. They messed with what I specifically asked them not to and 2. Broke/lost something off of my truck and didn't tell me about it. Easy enough to replace myself when I got home (jiffy lube didn't even offer to fix/replace what they had broken. Not the first time I have had an issue with this business, but I was overdue, had the time and didn't want all the hassles of doing it myself. Still looking for competent, reliable and honest auto maintenance in this town, this Jiffy line isn't it.

It took longer because I needed a new tire and the one I needed was at a different location. A Firestone driver brought the tire so we had to wait. No problem. They were able to use my tire warranty to get a discount for the new tire. The customer waiting area does need to be updated. Chairs are kind of grungy.

I'm here to visit my Mom. And when I visit, I try to take care of whatever needs to be taken care…read moreof. One is a new headlight. She had been driving around with only one headlight for months. She relayed Firestone had quoted her a $500 estimate to replace her headlight. WTF?! I called around and found cheaper estimates. I also thought of simply purchasing the bulb and having my brother put it in, but I know that can be complicated (some headlights are very involved). Long story short, she wanted to go back to Firestone (Ugh!) after they quoted her a lower price. We get there, and the mechanic explains that it is indeed $600 (increased since her last estimate) due to the type of bulb that is being replaced. Again, I would rather go elsewhere, etc., but my time here is limited, and I want to get it done. So, just do it. They had to order the bulb we now know we needed. It was explained that it would arrive to the shop in 20 minutes. I have to say, I was pretty impressed with the manager's expertise (I believe he was the manager) who came out to the waiting room a few times to explain some issues to the customers. He seemed concerned, thoughtful, and professional. While we waited, several customers arrived and waited....... and waited....... and waited to be addressed. It got to the point that I would advise them to knock on the window to get the attention of the mechanics. Perhaps they were short staffed. The manager left at some point, and I saw only 2 employees (maybe they were on break). This was at about an hour into our wait. At 2 hours into our wait (it's a headlight, c'mon now), I started walking back to the garage to see what was going on. I saw Dominick (sp) working on it, so I assumed it wouldn't be long. But hey, I have nowhere to be. Both Mom & I used the bathroom. When I went it I saw, it left much to be desired. Yes, it's a tire shop, but that should be on the list of things to check. Now it's 3 hours into our wait. FOR A HEADLIGHT REPLACEMENT. What gives?! I will say that Dominic (when he would see me at the window watching their work) would come and explain the progress, always ending with...... and then you'll be done, but still waiting. Finally, almost 3.5 hours in we paid $600 for a new headlight. Waiting 3.5 hours to have Mom's headlight replaced - Aggravating, but time for us to talk. Replacing Mom's headlight after she's been driving around one-eyed, because she couldn't afford it - PRICELESS. She always brings her car here for service. If I lived here I'd find a real mechanic to service her car; perhaps use after-market headlights, etc. But, she's gonna do what she's comfortable with, so...... Firestone it is.

Went into a different shop when check engine came on - now at the end of our cross country trip I'm in CO - asked if the shop could quickly check the code for me. The mechanic kind of begrudgingly did, but he did it quickly and then honestly told me what the issue was, reset the code and sent me on my way. $0 dollars. Old town automotive should be avoided at all costs. Not trustworthy. I asked them if they could quickly check the code. She told me how much a full diagnostic was ($200) I should have left then. After the "full diagnostic" When I asked if they would charge me a "partial diagnostic" she said no. I asked for the Yelp check in discount $10 or $20 maybe? no. AAA discount ? No. After asking if the was anything she could do to help me out she finally caved and gave me the aaa discount because she "doesn't even subscribe to Yelp and can't understand them on the phone half the time." I don't know if it's worth noting... THE ONLY REASON I WAS THERE WAS BECAUSE OF YELP, It was 10 or $20 discount and they were already ripping me off... I regret letting my anxiety get the better of me at the start of the trip. This situation was easily avoidable. I should have just left. Still waiting for that full diagnosis btw. Boo this garage.
