The Firestone located on Coors near I-40 has a rude and unprofessional manager named Renee. When I took my vehicle in to get an alignment, the technician broke my oil dipstick and pulled a PVC hose. They replaced the dipstick at their cost however I did not notice the hose that was pulled until my wife mentioned that the car was running rough. They were not able to align my vehicle within specifications. I replaced lower control arms and took it back in under warranty to get it realigned. I had an appointment at 10:00 AM. That's when I met Renee the rude unprofessional manager. She told me that an appointment doesn't mean my vehicle will be serviced at that time. I was told that it probably won't be serviced until the end of the day because she only had two techs.. She was unable to find my wife's name or phone number or the appointment we had a month prior. She said that because I didn't have a receipt she was unable to look it up. I told her they didn't give us a receipt they only gave us a specification sheet indicating what was aligned I asked if they emailed the receipts she said yes I then asked could she look it up via email. She got snarky with me and said I can only look it up with your phone number or receipt number. Kept asking me why I was there and I told her to get the vehicle realigned and I then told her that they damaged the tie rods the first time they did the alignment. The boots were torn and the tie rods were over torqued. She then ask me if I was implying that the technicians don't know what they're doing, to which I responded exactly, they don't know what they're doing they tore my boots and over torqued the tie rods. These were brand new tie rods a month old. Renee then told me I don't know what I'm talking about, the tie rods don't use grease or have boots. I told her that at minimum she's they're going to replace the boots that they're cost and possibly the tie rod on the driver side because of being over torqued. She eventually told me they are not replacing anything. She then said that I was not smart for bringing it back to a shop that broke the car in the first place. That if it were her she wouldI have taken it to another shop. I told her you broke it you fix it. I also told her that the last time I was in there they broke the dipstick during a pre inspection and at that point she lost it and told me to get out get out of the shop that she was refusing service and then she was going to call the police on me. I've been coming to this Firestone for many years. Yesterday I had an appointment for a tire repair. They got me in right away, and I was out within 2 hours. It took longer because I needed a new tire and the one I needed was at a different location. A Firestone driver brought the tire so we had to wait. No problem. They were able to use my tire warranty to get a discount for the new tire. The customer waiting area does need to be updated. Chairs are kind of grungy. read more

I'm here to visit my Mom. And when I visit, I try to take care of whatever needs to be taken care of. One is a new headlight. She had been driving around with only one headlight for months. She relayed Firestone had quoted her a $500 estimate to replace her headlight. WTF?! I called around and found cheaper estimates. I also thought of simply purchasing the bulb and having my brother put it in, but I know that can be complicated (some headlights are very involved). Long story short, she wanted to go back to Firestone (Ugh!) after they quoted her a lower price. We get there, and the mechanic explains that it is indeed $600 (increased since her last estimate) due to the type of bulb that is being replaced. Again, I would rather go elsewhere, etc., but my time here is limited, and I want to get it done. So, just do it. They had to order the bulb we now know we needed. It was explained that it would arrive to the shop in 20 minutes. I have to say, I was pretty impressed with the manager's expertise (I believe he was the manager) who came out to the waiting room a few times to explain some issues to the customers. He seemed concerned, thoughtful, and professional. While we waited, several customers arrived and waited....... and waited....... and waited to be addressed. It got to the point that I would advise them to knock on the window to get the attention of the mechanics. Perhaps they were short staffed. The manager left at some point, and I saw only 2 employees (maybe they were on break). This was at about an hour into our wait. At 2 hours into our wait (it's a headlight, c'mon now), I started walking back to the garage to see what was going on. I saw Dominick (sp) working on it, so I assumed it wouldn't be long. But hey, I have nowhere to be. Both Mom & I used the bathroom. When I went it I saw, it left much to be desired. Yes, it's a tire shop, but that should be on the list of things to check. Now it's 3 hours into our wait. FOR A HEADLIGHT REPLACEMENT. What gives?! I will say that Dominic (when he would see me at the window watching their work) would come and explain the progress, always ending with...... and then you'll be done, but still waiting. Finally, almost 3.5 hours in we paid $600 for a new headlight. Waiting 3.5 hours to have Mom's headlight replaced - Aggravating, but time for us to talk. Replacing Mom's headlight after she's been driving around one-eyed, because she couldn't afford it - PRICELESS. She always brings her car here for service. If I lived here I'd find a real mechanic to service her car; perhaps use after-market headlights, etc. But, she's gonna do what she's comfortable with, so...... Firestone it is. read more

This crew took care of me and went above and beyond. I had rented a car from Turo to take on a trip to a Pueblo about 3hrs outside of Albuquerque and ended up with a balding tire bust out on me and I ended up needing a 40mile tow to replace my first tire blow out in Gallup. Moving on from the inconvenience. Derailed and delayed.We ended up staying in ABQ for the night,made the most of it,had a great morning and in the afternoon on the way out of town we decided to gas up then BOOM!! A second tire blew out... Turns out the dude from Turo was renting out a fleet of lemons that were total death traps. All the tires were on the way out wires exposed and all. 2 out of 3 blew out. The last two tire survivors were thread barren and dangerous. It was a contact less pickup.... Dude doesn't even inspect them he must just throw them out there rickety till he makes the money back on the fleet. Really shady so inspect your rentals well from Turo. The crew here let me know what was going on in total disbelief at how unethical the rental was. They as well as I couldn't imagine a person renting a vehicle that unsafe to a person. I have never seen that level of shady rental practice. Anyway it was the last hour of the day for them and they were very cool to me and helped me get back on the road. My appointment was scheduled for routine maintenance and a windshield wiper replacement--services that were known ahead of time. This vehicle has been serviced at this facility multiple times, so the required parts should not have been a surprise. Despite this, I waited over four hours for these basic services. During that time, I began receiving emails stating that my service was complete, which was inaccurate and misleading. The experience was further worsened by the condition of the waiting area. The lobby was filthy and outdated, with chairs that were peeling, and armrests coated in grime. There were no charging ports or workspaces available, which made the extended wait even more inconvenient for customers who need to work or entertain themselves while waiting.  Based on this experience, I will not be returning to Firestone for my fleet vehicle or personal vehicle needs. I hope you take this feedback seriously and address these issues to improve the experience for future customers. read more

Five days ago l stopped by the Firestone at 9500 Montgomery NE to get an estimate on having the fluids changed in the transmission and differentials of my truck. The employees there were very helpful and printed out the services needed and the cost. They were unable to do the work due to their machine being down. They refered me to the Firestone at 1501 Juan Tabo NE. I made an appointment online for Friday but they had to change it to Monday, at 0900, which was fine. I got to the Firestone ten minutes before my appointment. When an employee came in from the garage area l advised him l had an appointment at 0900 and handed him the estimate from the other Firestone. I had stated on my online appointment that l'd be waiting for the vehicle. The employee said he only had one person who could do the work and he was "3 deep" in jobs before mine. I told him that l had made an appointment at 0900 for a reason. I do not understand why businesses take appointments if they can't do the job when scheduled by the customer. I took my vehicle in for my AC not getting cold 2x for the same issue I was charged close to 1,000 and the issue still wasn't resolved plus they were trying to say that my air compressor was going out when it's not the truth. Been a long time customer to this Firestone location. Well, not after Renee' H. Kissinger (did I get it right?) was extremely rude when letting me know that a tech wouldn't be in until closer to 8:30 when I had an 8am appointment time. I said "no worries, I can come back closer to 8:30." She responds "just because you have an appointment time doesn't mean you'll get serviced at that time." I said "that would be great to know when booking the appointment, that its more of a window time frame and not an exact time." Renee gets defensive, starts pointing her finger at me, mocking me and says "you can take your car elsewhere." Why? Because I gave some feedback on setting up their appointments? I asked for the manager information and its sad to say, she is the manager. Yikes! Hands me her "store manager" card and says "so you get my name right." These guys are scammers, pure and simple. They can replace your tires, and perform basic services on your car, but they will scam you, overcharge you, steer you towards their own poor products etc. I got a flat tire from a screw. I came in and asked if they could fix the tire puncture. No, they couldn't, based on the location, which is fine. However, when I asked to replace the tire, they picked one of the most expensive tires to replace the puncture with, a "firestone all season tire." Turns out, the firestone all season tires are terrible. They perform terribly in dry and wet weather. But, guess what, they steer this tire to you, because it's their own sh**ty product. When I asked for a different product, they said, "we don't have any of those tires in the state." lol. Sure. Adding insult to injury, they gave me an estimate, but the final cost was almost a $100 more. Why, because their estimate was not a out-the-door estimate, even though i asked for that, because their estimate did not include sales tax and their other add on expenses (tire disposal etc). I don't mind paying for add ons, but firestone gives inaccurate and deceptive estimates because they do not include all the sales taxes and add-ons that you will ultimately pay for their services. Lastly, when I later tried to remove the tires, they were over-torqued. I had to buy a new cross-bar to remove the lug nuts. Over-torqued lug nuts can really ruin your day if you have to change a tire on a busy highway! I was so disappointed in their firestone tires, I went back and asked to replace them with another tire. I spoke with the manager, a young man. I knew, right away, given his age, that it would be business-as-usual. "Nope," can't do that, he said. I would have to pay for all new tires, no credit for the new firestone tires, even though they claim their products are guaranteed. In summary, firestone: - Gives inaccurate estimates, that do not include sales tax and other normal add-ons that you will eventually have to pay - Steers you towards their own sh**ty products, because they make more off their own products - Do not abide by their own product guarantees. read more

Purchased sets of Firestone tires twice at store on Paseo Del Norte in Albuquerque. Had a few flats but that's not the issue. I paid for the road hazard warranty but each time I need a tire repair they can't do it. Today they said they would get to me in two days. If you can't staff someone to repair tires, you shouldn't be selling the warranty. Now, like last time, I have to pay another tire business to do Firestones job. Bought new Firestone tires in 2018 rated for 50,000 miles. Since then (the tires now have 32k miles on them) I've had three flats, requiring plugs, two in the same tire. The folks at Firestone want me to believe it's just a coincidence. I say the tires are inferior. The tread is almost gone, too. Won't be buying Firestone tires again. Renee in the front was amazing, kind and informative but I had a 10am appointment and didn't get out of there till 230. I waited in the lobby the whole time. 2 hours after after being there for a rotation and alignment they came back saying my tires were no good, so they sold me a new set, and in my head I was like, "at least they're working on it" but it wasn't done for another 2 and a half hours. What's the point of an appointment if my time isn't as important as yours. read more

When I showed up for my appointment the guy said they didn't have anyone who knew how to do alignments working that day and rescheduled me for Thursday. When I showed up on Thursday they told me the guy had set up my appointment for Friday. I took the day off work for this alignment and I leave for a road trip early Friday. I dropped off my car for an alignment and all the workers were not wearing masks, even thought it is a requirement for any business. I picked up my Toyota to find that the alignment made my car worse than it was before. It pulled even more to right side than before. In addition, all of the error codes were showing on my dashboard. They told me they didn't know how to align my type of Toyota Tacoma and couldn't figure out how to take off the error codes. They said I would have to take it to the Toyota dealer for that. They explained the technician who could align it was out and wouldn't be in until the next day. Question: Why didn't they tell me that before I brought it in! Why did they work on it if they didn't know how? Although they offered to pay for it, I would have to take off from work to do that. I had to have my mother take it back in the next day and the technician, who knew how to work on my Toyota got it fixed. However, the person in the front was rude to my mother. I was not advised when I set this appointment that all my appointment did was put me in line for the next available technician, an advisory that was given to me quite rudely by the lady behind the counter. Today is day three that this place has screwed with me. My sunroof broke and would not close all the way. I showed up for my first appointment and the tech had called in sick. They had my number but didn't bother letting me know. The second day I sat and waited for two hours for them to tell me they needed to order a part; but, they did close it at least. Day three they told me the work would take 3 1/2 hours. When I dropped it off I double-checked because I had to pick up kids from school and they assured me it wouldn't be much more than 3 1/2 hours. I paid for an Uber home. After 4 1/2 hours I called them and they told me they were going to have to keep it overnight. Who knows when or if they were going to let me know. So they have screwed with me for three days and my vehicle still isn't fixed. The kicker is that they are rude and/or laughing at the impossible situation they've put me in with two children getting out of school and me with no vehicle to pick them up. Even if there were a cold day in hell I would NEVER return to this establishment for anything. I have never had such lack of communication, y professionalism, and rude behavior. Well the young gentleman that helped me showed me that there was nothing that needed to be patched there were scrapes but the oil cap was not tightened all the way which is why the oil was leaking. He was nice enough to top off my oil and get everything taken care of. I'm definitely coming here instead for my oil change. I was very pleased. read more

If you have a blowout or something goes wrong you can take it to any Firestone and continue. Their prices are not that cheap but you sort of get what you pay for and convenience as you travel and peace of mind if you get tires make sure you get a lifetime rotation and balance and a lifetime alignment you may pay a little bit more now but you will save a lot in the long run. read more

WATCH OUT Last week I brought my car (2004 PT Cruiser) in because it was running hot, it didn't over heat, but I thought I would have them look into it because I had some work done there for the same heating up issue twice which both times cost several hundred dollars to replace the same fan. I asked them to check all the fluids and tires while it was there as well. I left the car there for a couple hours and they called and told me it would be $1800 to replace water pump, timing belt, hoses, engine mounts etc etc. I asked what would it be just to fix the over heating problem at hand. I was quoted $900. Well it's an older model car and not worth that much to put that much into it. So I picked it up, paid 70 bucks for the estimate and them "refilling the fluids" without having the big work done and took it down the road to a highly recommended independent mechanic. The independent guy spent a couple days checking everything on the car, electrical, radiator, water pump, ran every test. He called me immediately because before he ran the car to do the test he said he had to put in TWO quarts of oil, that the dip stick didnt register. This car has never needed oil - ever. I have had regular oil checks and changes at every prescribed interval. Long story short - 300 bucks to replace a thermostat, a radiator cap and a plastic engine cap. When I picked up my car I showed him Firestone's estimate and he laughed and said he gets that all the time - chains who are forced to pad the bottom line by making recommendations picked from a list of most likely and probable things that are needed without actually checking the car. The oil is a mystery but it's either incompetence, they didn't check it at Firestone, or they tried to sabotage my car and add a head gasket on to the bill. Needless to say I will never step foot in a Firestone again and neither will my family who have been customers there for a decade. We liked the manager, but I think we'll avoid the company forever. read more

They found that I needed my shimes done and took care of it right away! Luckily I had done it with them prior and it was under warranty so it was fully covered!
