Discount Tire - Vintage Maxda Miata - Tires Near Me - Albuquerque, New Mexico

I was the fourth or fifth person in line waiting for an employee to put air in my tires, and there were many cars behind me. Twice, the young employee left his post to do something inside the garage. Before he left the second time, I noticed what appeared to be a manager or supervisor talking to him. After the young employee left again, another employee took over. I didn't know what PSI my tires were supposed to be, and unfortunately, the employee who took over guessed and added air to my tires. When I got home, I realized that my tires had been overinflated. I don't completely blame the employee who took over because he stepped into the situation after the original employee left. However, I do think the correct PSI should have been checked rather than guessed. I was disappointed with how the situation was handled, especially with so many customers waiting in line. read more

I've been a loyal customer for over 20 years. I've easily purchased about 20 tires over that timeframe. I setup an appointment via their app to have four new tires installed. I showed up ten minutes before my scheduled time. 1 hour and 30 minutes later, my car is ready. Why I bothered scheduling an appointment is beyond me. The only saving grace was the service rep was very courteoust, patient, and competent. They honored the sale price plus an additional savings on a new set of Michelin tires by price matching the same set of tires from Costco. Saved me over $110.00 all together! read more

Manager (on duty) let me know that it was fine to have the tire pressure check employee (Andreas) just walk off and leave people lined up (I had moved up from sixth in line to third in line with three after me) waiting as it's a "complimentary" service (letting me know my 20+ year business, four new tires last year, was unimportant) and the new customers were more important than existing customers. After 15+ minutes, I got out of my car and walked in the shop to get help. Joseph, great guy, started taking tire pressures again. After getting my tires checked, I parked and went in the front of the store (had tried calling four times - no answer) to discover that it was the manager's idea for Andreas to just walk off and leave us all. Bad manager, bad business, lost me as a customer. Don't bother to call - they won't answer (quits ringing, for them, after four rings). read more

I stopped by the Discount Tire location at Coors and Montano to purchase an additional tire warranty for a vehicle we had just purchased so we could take advantage of free rotations and balancing. From the moment I walked in, I was immediately greeted by a friendly staff member at the counter--Juan--who went above and beyond to help me. After inspecting my vehicle, Juan noticed that two of the tires did not match the other two. He also explained that those tires were designed for an EV vehicles and were not the correct fit for my car. Instead of simply selling me the warranty and sending me on my way, Juan took the time to explain the issue, offered a solution, and arranged to have the incorrect tires replaced with the proper ones. What really impressed me was that he got me scheduled right away--even without an appointment--and made sure everything was handled quickly and professionally. His attention to detail, honesty, and genuine care for my safety and satisfaction truly exceeded my expectations. Thank you, Juan, for your outstanding service and for making sure I had the correct tires and warranty to keep my vehicle protected. I highly recommend this Discount Tire location to anyone in need of tire services. You've definitely earned a lifetime customer! read more

So I have Thomas the manager assist me with my tires and the issue my Tesla Model 3 was having. Luckily he was able to assist me and had great customer service!! I was very worried due to the car doing a ping pong maneuver when in self drive and also forcibly steering left and right when I am manually driving. I did come in a couple days prior to replace a couple of low tread tires, and everything wasn't made transparent at that time but I can say the customer service at this location is the best. I have a trip planned and I'm glad this location and the workers here got my car road ready for the trip and in a timely manner!! i will definitely be making this my primary location for tire repairs or replacements! I would recommend anyone to this location and luckily this Discount Tire has great management and impeccable customer service! read more

Tires purchased at the Coors and Montano several months ago. Picked up a nail in one of them today. Scheduled a service time to get it repaired. When checking it in I requested they check all the tires for nails and also check the pressure on the spare. They repaired the tire with the nail but there was no mention on the work order of the other things I asked for. They didn't lift the car for a thorough tire check and only checked the spare tire when I asked again for it. Terrible service. Safety implications. read more

Tire sensor came on letting me know that my tires air pressures are low. Hmm what are my options? Go home and use my portable air compressor, stop at a gas station or lastly stop at discount tire and have the tire pressures checked and filled by a professional. The choice was easy. This store was on the way home and I pull into the lot and followed the signs for the check & fill. The service was complimentary, quick and painless. Plus it guarantees that I will be back when I need new tires for either of our cars. read more

Came in for an easy tire patch, and they finished in under an hour without an appointment. There were repairs being done inside with a horrible beeping that was messing with my head and triggering major anxiety, and the guys were super compassionate. One walked me to wait in my car while another found me some ear plugs. Everyone had great attitudes and the customer service earned them top marks, which I'm pretty stingy with. We're long time customers of Discount Tire, and this is a prime example why. read more

Have been taken care of here for years New tire visits are always the best, definitely buy the road hazard certificates, worth every penny and free balance and rotation Knowledgeable staff and quick service is the normal here, always try and make an appointment if you can Weekday visits get you in and out the quickest but sometimes the volume of people needing help is unavoidable Five star business for sure ------------------------------- 10/10/19 Discount tire saves the day again ! My wife headed to Las Vegas, Nevada this morning with family in her brand new car. Then a blown out tire as she exited the freeway (thankfully ) in Flagstaff,Az Roadside assistance put on her spare(my job normally but i was still in Albuquerque). And i sent her straight to the nearest Discount Tire As usual for a Saturday, they were slammed, but they replaced with a new tire and during inspection, found a missing lug nut She arrived safely at her destination this evening in fine shape Can always count on Discount . Appointment to have an alignment on my vehicle. Staff was friendly efficient and quickly took care of my car.

Was there to get a tire puncture repair but we ended up purchasing new tires as all were at a point of wear to replace, CUSTOMER SERVICE tech got an online cost comparison from Costco and matched and even gave us a discount to make it less expensive, I had a scheduled appointment so it took about 1 hour to get the tires replaced and mounted. read more

This started in the fall of 2022. I had my winter wheels put on my 2010 Toyota Sienna. As I recall, one of the sensors had to be replaced because the battery was bad. The store was never able to get the sensors to communicate with the vehicle and after three trips back to the store, the manager advised me that the receiving unit in the vehicle was the problem. He and I agreed to disagree on that point. When I put the summer tires on in the spring (at a different location), everything was fine. Today, I had the winter wheels put back on (again at the new location). One of the wheels read as having a dead battery. When the tire was pulled from the wheel, a TMP sensor was found sitting loose inside of the tire. It was removed, the tire was reinstalled and balanced and the TMPS again integrates perfectly with the vehicle. I had other problems with this location (2 episodes of incorrect tire inflation pressure). Obviously, I won't be a return customer. Res ipsa Loquitur read more

I went to this location to get an air check right at 8am because my tire was low. While checking the air, they found a nail. Told me it'd take an hour to fix but if I scheduled online they could get me right in. I went home. Scheduled a time for 5:15 that afternoon. Arrived at the location at 5:13pm. Was told there were only 4 people ahead of me and I'd definitely get in sooner since I had an appointment. I've been waiting in the parking lot for an hour and 20 min. I'm giving them 3 stars because of the free services (air check and flat tire fix) and their friendly service and once they got me in, the fix only took 30 min. But making an appointment does not ensure you will get in at that time. Very misleading. read more

My wife believed her tire was low and stopped by Discount Tire today to ask for help. She was told she had a nail and it would take three hours to get to the vehicle. I stopped by and at 3.5 hours asked if it was done and they said it would take longer. I asked for the keys back and they could not find the keys. It appeared to me the car was never checked in. Fifteen minutes later they gave me the key after frantically searching for it. I checked the car and come to find out it did have a nail but the pressures were fine. I have plenty of time to take it somewhere else. This place went from an amazing place to buy tires to a slapstick comedy show that wasn't funny (especially after 3.5 hours). I looked in the shop and the same incompetence appeared to be present there as well. Very sad to see good businesses take a fall. I do not recommend Discount Tire anymore. read more

The lead "Nokomis" was amazing. I will definitely continue to patronize this location.

I had a wonderful experience here. I woke up with not one but TWO flat tires only two days before my cross-country move. To say I was stressed was an understatement. I had my car towed to Discount Tire and they immediately checked out my tires. After about an hour and a half, I was informed that they were able to patch up both flat tires. When I asked to pay, they said it was completely free. I honestly couldn't believe it! What outstanding service and customer service. I will absolutely be back when I'm due for new tires. read more

They're efficient and helpful. They always take great care of my tires, and their needs.. Whether it's a quick air check, replacing tires or my rims. Thank you, discount tire for a quick fix and professionalism. read more

This place saved my butt last month. Before I went on my roadtrip from Vegas, I asked my local car place if everything was "good" on my car: Fluids, engine, tires, etc. The result was a resounding "Yes". As I was driving through New Mexico, my car seemed louder than it should, especially at slower speeds, and started seeming wobbly. So I took the car to this location to see what was going on. Not one, but BOTH my front tires were bad. Too many miles on them. Should have been replaced a long time ago. Tires usually cost a mint, but Carlos helped me find a really good deal. And with it being lunchtime, I figured that I would be trapped in the waiting lobby for a while. At worst, I was out within 20 minutes time. I was actually fairly stunned. Carlos did a great job. The service was fast and inexpensive, and allowed me to get on the road again without hassle. Things could have gone SO badly with two bad tires, but they really took care of me, and I was certainly grateful for that. Top notch service, and in this case, a genuine lifesaver. read more

I am very disappointed in the service I have received in the past month from Discount tire. Specifically from the location on Montano and Coors. I got a nail in my tire a few weeks ago and needed to get two new tires, I have always bought my tires from here so naturally, this is where I trusted to go. When I went, I bought two tires and it took them a day and a half to get my tires replaced. I was without my vehicle for a day and a half. My brother bought specialized tires the same day (that also needed to be ordered) and they had him in and out within an hour. (Without charging him they 15$ fee they offered me to get the tires there quicker). HMMMM Then about two weeks later, my boyfriend bought me two new tires (which again took 3 days for them to get but I understand because my tires are specialized). Then I called them to see if my tires were in and they were. When I got to the shop the tires were actually at a different shop. So I had to drive across town to another location. Finally, I got my tires and was ready to go. Before I left I asked if they could print out my certificates for my tires that my boyfriend had bought the weekend before. They told me that he had not purchased any certificates for my truck, however, I specifically remember him purchasing them because it was a big conversation. So they tried to sell me 4 more certificates but I declined because I knew we purchased them. I came home and sure enough, his receipt showed the 4 purchased certificates. Now I have to make another trip back to Discount to get my certificates printed out. They were just very unhelpful, unorganized and act as if they have never dealt with a couple working with two different Discount Tire accounts. This has been a miserable, drawn-out experience. As a woman doing this mostly on my own, I feel very taken advantage of, because for my boyfriend and brother it was a breeze. I will definitely be looking around the next time I purchase tires. read more

I have been going to a Discount Tire for more than two decades. I have done lots of business at this particular location. Service is always great, and they can usually work you in, and have a great set of options for most wheel sizes either on hand or able to get from in town distribution fast. Last visit, they sold me some better tires with a mail in rebate. After I went to submit the rebate, found out the specific tires I purchased weren't included in the rebate deal. Went back to this location, told the manager on hand what happened, and without a hesitation he opened the cash drawer and handed me the rebate amount in cash. read more

It may take awhile but you get quality!!! I dont go anywhere because they have the best prices. Service is always good upfront.

DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU ARE A FEMALE!! This discount tire is terrible. They told me to leave my tire at 8:00 am because it would take 3 hours to fix. After work they would but it right on for me. Okay no problem I drove to work on the dummy tire. When I came after work this rude sales guy told me I would have to wait until 7:30pm before they would put ONE tire on the car. So they lied. You have to be at the shop by 6:00 pm if you want your car and you have to sit there for hours. Most of us sitting there were female and one poor guy who had been there sine 2:09 pm. This used to be a great discount tire but they must be under new terrible management. read more

I had a horrible morning and got a flat on I-25. So I went to the nearest discount tire and explained what happened. They took my car back and said that my tire was "Dead upon arrival" so they said I'd need to get a new one and since the tire wasn't that old I got a discount. So I agreed (truly I had no choice). The service was efficient but I felt like the workers were slightly loud and not focused. I love discount but wish the staff would be a little less loud. read more

Very dissatisfied have been a customer for many years & now my children (adult) are customers. There clearly discrimination when it comes to female customers. My Daughter took her truck in for 2 tires, was told she would have to pay $15 extra or wait until morning. She was left without a vehicle. Called in the morning her truck won't be ready until 12 noon. My Son was picking up a truck in San Antonio TX, needed 2 tires. They did not have the tires, however the manager got in his own vehicle to go pick up the tires. My Son was back on the road in 1 1/2 hours. Excellent service! I was quoted a price on 2 tires for my SUV, the price was double of what I paid 6 years ago. Tires are Cooper (bottom of the line). My Daughters tires are bigger & better her quote was less then mine? This is 3 different locations I am referring to. I am very dissatisfied with the quality of service provided for females. Service should be consistent & not based on the gender. Also most of reviews are from male customers? read more

My tire was unexpectedly low. I came to get them to put air so I can go drop my kid off and come back to purchase a tire. The manager RJ said my tire was too low to put air.
