Wall with a frosted glass door and plexiglass windows along the top. Love it!
    Kaitlin S.

I called ~5 other temporary wall places before I came across Wall Empire. Marc (the owner) was super friendly, and quoted me the most reasonable prices for what I wanted done (one wall, about 11 feet long, with a frosted glass door for our living room). I was able to make an appointment with him for the following week. He showed up about 15 minutes early, came in and measured, swept up, and got to work. He and his coworker were very friendly, and they made sure to go over all the details with us (door location, opening direction, how much space was needed on either side, etc). Unlike some companies we spoke to, sound insulation was included, as was a paint job for the new wall. Our room was already painted a certain color, so we asked if they could use our paint rather than their standard white, and they told us it was no problem. In order to put up the new wall, we had to remove some shelves from one of the base walls, so there were holes from where we had removed wall anchors. Without us even asking, they spackled the holes on the already existing wall and painted over them, easily saving us an hour or two. I can't stress what a nice surprise that was. These guys are awesome! At the last minute, I asked if we could add some plexiglass windows running along the top of the new wall to let more light into the newly created room. Marc was super flexible, said no problem, and added it to our (still totally reasonable) bill. When they were all done, part of the wall above the door had expanded and you could see the seam a little bit. Marc pointed it out, and told us that he'd come back later this week to plaster the seam again. He was very meticulous, cleaned up after he was finished, and by the time he was done you'd have had no clue the room had been a full on construction site just an hour earlier. The wall turned out exactly like we'd hoped. I'd recommend Marc and Wall Empire to anyone!

Temporary (bookcase) wall with door. Perfectly done and looks like a real wall

Extremely satisfied with my experience. I needed a wall to flex my one bedroom apartment into a two bedroom was recommended Wall Empire. Marc gave me the best quote of any company I talked to and was able to come and put my wall up only two days after my first inquiry. The wall itself looks fantastic. If I didn't know any better, I would not be able to tell that the wall is fake at all. Marc painted it and put finishes like molding along the sides and floor that helped blend it into the existing walls. I could not have been happier with the level of service and quality of the job and I highly recommend Marc if you are flexing an apartment.

To start I am usually pretty critical, I need to give credit where it's due. Doing business with mark was such an easy pleasant experience. Moving is super annoying, Mark made one big part of it hassle free. I called about 10 companys, all were priced aprox. At 950 for a 11x9 ft wall. Mark was a bit cheaper at 875. His crew was clean, professional and we're quick. He also came on one days notice! Everyone else was at least 5. If you need a reference for this company message me. This is what a business should look like.

I hired NJH to repair damage to a restored antique mahogany staircase in my house…read more The newel post at the end of a section of the banister had separated from the handrail and was loosed at the base. That made this section of the banister wobbly, unsafe and prone to further damage. Prior and now failed repairs with mastic and nails were an eyesore and calling for further restoration work. Ben with Kellam's supervision closely conferred with me how to do the best structural and cosmetic restoration of the banister. They dismantled the newel post from the handrail and the mounting of the post to the staircase frame, and removed old nails and mastic from the post rails joint all without damage. To remove the post, they had to remove stapled carpeting and a stair tread that they replaced without damage at the end of the job. They very securely remounted the newel post with corner backets under the stair tread and long bolts into its base covered with matching round plugs. Having so securely remounted the post and restoring the post to rail mortise and tendon, the handrail was solidly secured without the further use of mastic, nails or screws. With a few touchups to old wood putty, they then managed to remove obvious evidence of prior repairs. As this section of handrail may need a restoration replacement to match the quality of the other staircase handrails, their method of reconnection rail to the post will allow for less problematic handrail replacement without damage.

They put a great amount of effort into excellent communication, being on time and above all, making sure the job was done right. I appreciated receiving mms messages about clocking in/out, photos of the work as it progressed, etc... I won't hesitate to call them for other jobs as they come up.
