1 day wall did an outstanding job on my temporary wall. Before the build they communicated efficiently and were patient as I decided on the best options for my wall. On the day of the build Eddie (my technician) showed up on time and worked tirelessly and efficiently to complete the wall. He guided me with the right decision on where to place the door. Eddie's experience helped guide me to making the right decision with my door. If we would have centered it like I originally wanted I would have lost access to efficient use of the room. I trusted Eddie to be in my house without supervision and he was trustworthy. Thanks for everything 1 day wall. You guys were outstanding. I will definitely recommend you to anyone looking to put up a temp wall.
Wish I could give 6 stars, 1DayWall/Vince's team is reliable, cost efficient, and fast -- not to mention super respectful too. TLDR: if you're in a sticky situation in terms of pricing/timing/decision making -- reach out to 1DayWall! My roommate and I were in talks with another company for flex wall construction but due to miscommunication, ended up with a really expensive quote for the L shaped wall we wanted. We were scrambling because we were already moved in but didn't have one of our rooms built. I reached out to many companies over the weekend to request quotes and emphasized urgency in my request. Vince got back to me super quickly with a CLEAR quote, making it easy for me to see any potential charges/additional expenses, and he gave us a July discount. This quote ended up being $500 less than the original company. Not to mention, he was able to shift his schedule and send his team over on Tuesday (first communicated on Sunday). The team got it done in 4 hours and it looks so nice and new. Very impressed and thankful to 1DayWall. The best!
Have worked with Vince and his team a few times in both New York City and Long Island. If you need to have a temporary or permanent wall installed, I highly recommend 1 Day Wall. The crew is diligent, friendly, efficient, and highly experienced in this type of work. They are able to present a variety of options for what you may need in terms of types of walls, doors, and other solutions, and they are able to deliver. Vince is an involved and responsive owner who takes interest in and responsibility for the projects. I will continue to choose them again over other options.
We had a very positive experience with 1DayWall. We reached out via email and received a response almost immediately from the owner. We requested (insisted on, perhaps) an on-site visit- which we understand is not the norm- and he made this happen and showed up on time! We were under extraordinary circumstances with a very limited timeframe in which to complete the entire scope of what we needed and we were pleasantly surprised that 1DayWall arranged for, procured the materials for, and completed both a wall and a proper closet that same week, effectively converting our loft-style studio into a proper 1 bedroom. 1DayWall helped us order a custom door, which was delivered about a week ahead of schedule and even though the plan called for a barn door, we changed our mind and decided it should be a pocket door instead- with no acrimony or haggling for it to happen. The end result is truly that what was a large studio for 17 years was transformed overnight into a one bedroom apartment and the promise of what we imagined when we purchased almost two decades ago was finally fulfilled. There was an element of humanity and understanding rarely present (at least in our experience) throughout the oft-terrible NYC contractor experience- we got what we asked for and then some- including fulfilling several unplanned changes and fixing what we perceived as issues without a lot of heartache. It is as a refreshing change to have the owner of a contracting business actually check in on the progress of his crew (we are realistic in our expectations that the owner will not be at the job site 24/7, but he did make his presence and interest in our satisfaction well known). Having done various construction projects over a couple of decades in NYC, this is an experience worth noting. Highly recommended. The second photo is a before (we had a 1 bedroom) shot!
Vincent and team are AMAZING! Not only were they easy to work with, they were quick to respond and build our nursery in our 1 bedroom apartment! Within a week of contacting 1daywall, we were scheduled and the work was completed in one day within 6 or so hours. They were able to accommodate all of our special requests (ie cutting part of the wall to get access to additional space). The quality of the wall was also top notch, they added moldings, did a beautiful job painting and added a vent for air circulation. Could not recommend more!
This company provided a great experience from start to finish. The owner, Vince was extremely responsive and answered all of my questions during the booking process. The people that put up my wall were efficient and assisted with the measurements and gave the BEST suggestions. The wall blends in perfectly with the apartment. I would recommend this company 100% Thank you guys!!!
Vince & his crew truly live up to their 5-star rating! They accommodated my schedule and installed a wall that far exceeded our expectations. They arrived on time, worked neatly & efficiently and did a beautiful job. True professionals and we couldn't be happier!
1DayWall is a great company to work with. The people at the company know what they are doing and are very professional in their approach. The owner is knowledgeable and the response was outstanding. They had variety of options to choose from and all at a reasonable rates. The also painted the wall and all the guests who came to my apartment didn't even realize that it was a temporary wall as everything was so seamless. 1Daywall was able to help in every aspect of what I wanted to do in my apartment. The workers were on time and cleaned up my space after the work was complete.
I've used 1DayWall twice now for temporary wall /door installation. They are extremely accessible, professional and friendly, Vince has personally come to check on both of my projects. I would absolutely use them again in the future and recommend them to anyone looking to get some quality temporary walls put up!
I did extensive research on Temporary Walls and the companies that provide them in NYC. I chose 1 day wall because of the following: Vincent (Managing Director) was friendly and easy to talk to. Vincent replied to ALL my emails (and in a timely fashion). He was happy to answer the many questions that I had before and during the job. The price quoted was reasonable and comparable to their competitors. They are licensed and insured. They even sent COI (Certificate of Insurance) for my building management. Other competitors were insured, but not licensed. They offered a "Modern" glass panel barn style door that no other competitor would install. They offered a seamless finish. My walls do not look 'temporary'! The walls are mine instead of a lease (so I can keep them up as long as I like without additional costs, other than the fee to take it all down when and if I request that service) They were able to schedule me quickly during COVID-19. They accommodated my request to do the project in two parts. Part 1: install walls, Part 2: install door. The door was on back order due to the pandemic, but I really needed the walls installed right away and could wait for the door. They did not charge me extra for this accommodation ;-) There was a small glitch, and the door opening was too large for the door I had ordered and was was waiting for. I was so NERVOUS that all the work they had done to erect the walls would be ruined, BUT Vincent assured me that it would all be fixed when they came back to hang the door, and the door and the walls would look 'perfect' AT NO additional cost to me (even though I was the one that requested the 2 part installation). Javiar and Octavio were very professional and careful with our apartment and furnishings. They wore masks the entire time. They are exceptional craftsmen. They never complained about the fourth floor walk up! 1 Day Wall truly has the BEST Customer Service! I highly recommend them for their Customer Service and quality of work. I am an extremely happy customer!
I highly recommend 1DayWall! They were responsive during the quote, scheduling process, answered all my questions & had quick turn-around time. Their crew arrived at our scheduled time, worked efficiently, thoroughly, and were SO CLEAN from start to finish. I really appreciated their professionalism; they covered the surrounding areas, cleaned as they worked, and didn't leave anything (no paint spills!) behind. 1DayWall's customer service & my overall experience was exceptional. Thank you!

We couldn't have asked for a better experience with Vinny, Ariella, and the team. Everyone who came for the installation was professional, respectful, and genuinely friendly--and the quality of the work speaks for itself. We're thrilled with how the new room came out and how much usable space it's added to our apartment! read more

i have nothing but amazing things to say about my experience with 1 day wall!!! moving is already stressful and renting an apartment in manhattan that needed to be flex was just another added stressor. 1 day wall took all that stress away for me! the gentleman arrived and walked me through the layout of the wall and answered any questions i had. the unit has a pillar and the guys had no problem working around that, making sure everything fit and looked good. i stopped by a few times to drop some things off to my new apartment and the wall already looked fantastic half way in. the men were so kind and efficient- on top of that they gave me the best value compared to all other wall vendors i inquired with. i would highly recommend 1day wall for your flex wall needs!!!!!! read more

I had a great experience with my temporary wall setup from 1DayWall. After comparing quotes from several different companies in the NYC area, they were able to match and beat the lowest quote I received. I appreciated the timely and clear email correspondences with Vince, the manager. I was impressed by the both the speed and professionalism of the 1DayWall employees that came to set up my wall and also remove it one year after the initial setup. The wall looked great and held up well during the full year of usage. I would definitely recommend their services to anyone that needs a temporary wall setup in the NYC area! read more

Vince and his team helped design and install a door/wall for an office and future nursery space. He was very responsive throughout the process and provided numerous options to find the best fit for our space, which we ultimately decided on a sliding glass barn door style. His team did an incredible job with the installation and it looks even better than expected. We couldn't be happier with the work they did. Highly recommend! read more

My roommate and I just used 1DayWall to flex our apartment in New York and we could not be happier with the result. They were professional, friendly, super quick to respond, and fairly priced. 1 Day Wall built an internal wall to create a second bedroom about 1 year ago and to this date we still get compliments from visitors that they thought the wall was originally part of the apartment. We ordered a basic wall with a door but as you can see in the photos the quality of the work was excellent. There were proper finishes around the door frame and footing. They even built a custom gap around the air con unit so that the unit can be opened for servicing. Best of all the company is very responsive and professional. read more

Hi i'd like to ask for a quotation for the closure of a bedroom in a new apartment…
Please email the following information direct: (email only)…
How long do you need the notice to take down the wall? And is there a fee? Thanks
Can you put Elfa shelves on 1daywall? Will it hold it with its unique shelving system that suppose to be standing on every wall?
We don't recommend adding shelves to a temporary wall that's already installed. Shelves should be ordered prior to installation and built into the walls we install for safety.
